Enterprising scavenging teams have been reporting strange noises from the scrublands bordering the Wastes for weeks. The sounds of shuffling, banging, crashing, and most concernedly, sawing and drilling, emanated from a corner of the dunes few dared to explore. The weeks of intermittent noises had perturbed the Guild long enough.

A team of three brave wermz trekked over the sand, their voices catching in their throats when they stumbled across a forgotten shack. The unforgiving wind had blasted dust and debris across its walls of corrugated metal sheets, melding the structure with the surrounding sand and soil. A quick game of scrap-coupon-scissors chose the unlucky one to explore the ruin, while the other two cowered kept watch from a safe distance.

The werm crept up to the structure... and catapulted high into the sky upon hearing an unfamiliar voice—
