If Apps close and you were not selected, you are free to re-make or edit your old form, just quote it and re-post! No need to re-post your old application unless you're re-making or adding to it. Positions marked with a "★" need filled most urgently, and applications for those spots will take priority! If we are not searching, please do not post.

Note: If you're an artist I've worked with personally in other UMAs or if I’m already familiar with your work from other species, you may be eligible to skip the guest artist period or full application process and be brought on as a full artist right away. This will be decided on a case-by-case basis. Feel free to DM me if you're interested!

Staff Rules and Expectations:

★ Follow all CS and Keepsies rules.
★ All staff must be in the Keepsies Discord.
★ Treat all users- as well as staff- with respect! No power-tripping or passive aggression.
★ Get along well with and communicate to a team in a healthy, productive manner.
★ Make suggestions and pitch new ideas, while also respecting the Admins and Owner's final decisions.
★ Keep corrections and confrontations kind and professional.
★ Be open to corrections and constructive criticism as an artist.
★ Handle all issues fairly, and without personal bias.
★ Bring any potential concerns to admins or the owner privately and directly. No gossiping or vagueing in DMs or outside chats.
★ All internal info (plans, WIPs, logs, etc.) need to stay private. No sharing screenshots, messages or upcoming events without permission.
★ Let an admin know if you'll be inactive for 2+ weeks. If you are inactive for a prolonged period of time unannounced, you may be contacted and asked to review your position.

General Helper Application

General Helpers (Art):
★ Digital art or Pixel art experience is required.
★ Main responsibilities will be fulfilling Item Applications whenever needed, as well as helping with art duties such as drawing banners and splash art for events!
★ Pixel art experience is also welcome, but not required! Pixel artists are needed to help design new badges, new Rummaging items for the Treasure Trove, and are also allowed to create item accessories/Keepsies if desired.
★ Unlike normal Keepsies Artists, Art Helpers won’t be expected to regularly create Keepsies or item accessories, as long as you contribute your artistic skills in other areas.

Please fulfill these item application requests to the best of your ability
using the Keepsies and items provided below, then share the results in your application.
A PSD File IS available, please DM an Admin on Discord and we'll share the file with you! :)
A little bit of commentary on your process would also be great!

Trove Tender Application

Trove Tender Responsibilities:

Guest Artist Application

Guest Artist Responsibilities:
★ Create Keepsies for front page litters, treasure trove drops, giveaways, or mini-events.
★ Upload your designs to an Imgbb archive with accuracy, as well as properly updating logs for Archivists to keep track of.
★ Share any new lines you create in our Lines Library, as well as being willing to share your lines with other artists on the team if requested.
★ Be open to corrections and constructive critique in order for your work to align with the Keepsies art style.
★ Optionally, host games or color-in contests to engage the community!

Marble ball Keepsie ┋ Disco dad Keepsie

[size=65]For the first one, marble ball Keepsie, I thought of 1: item that fits the ball, and people cherish, for me personally, I love these marble balls! I decided to go fairly simple, trying to at times add more patterns but felt like the simple look sells it best! The grey spots are supposed to represent Transarent parts, but I assume no line edits = no transparency edits!

For the disco dad, it just perfectly fit! A disco ball with a dad mustache and stylish fur/clothes that sparkle? There isn't much to say as it just came naturally


Cassette memory Keepsie ┋ Eyeball Keepsie 😰

For the Cassette Memory Keepsie, I thought of again items we cherish, and what can we cherish more then a voice, audio, an old song? I once again picked a more of an "old" item, cassette tape! I saved a version of the base without notes so they can be arranged however to somewhat customize it, or even left out if the idea is a cherished broken cassette tape! This I believe is the one I was the most happy with execution wise, it feels so mellow and nostalgic- and to add to that nostalgia I added a static texture to it!

Last one I was thinking "well, who said the love for an object that creates a keepsie had to be wholesome or moral?", also... Halloween anyone? Heheh! So yes, what if someone like a murderer or a cannibal treasured something many of us don't even see as objects, someone body part, this could make for great horror keepsies and Halloween keepsies! I went really fleshy with mine, hope that's ok

No line edits

The thought behind the first fake was to initially test out the base and play around with a colour palette, pattern and decide on how I wanted the shading to look on the rest of the fakes.

The inspiration for the second fake came to mind when doing the small striped sections on the first fake, images of real tigers were used as references.

Line edits

From the start I knew I wanted to do at least a shark adjacent fake and thought it would be fun to change the orb to be a fish, I chose a clown fish as a reference back to the tiger based no line edits fake, and I thought the orange would be a nice contrast to the mostly green and yellow design. The wings were edited to better show off the back as I knew I wanted a fin to add to the shark aspect of the design.

I wanted to play around with extra limbs for one design and thought an alien theme would fit that well, the colour scheme for this fake was chosen loosely based around a keychain I own, but colours were not copied 1:1

I wanted to play around with the wing shape for this fake and ended up basing the rest of the design on a moodboard (included at the bottom of the post)

Ended up wanting to mess with the held object more and decided to go with a plush toy instead of doing the same shiny object as the previous fakes, the rest of the design was made to look tired to look like they had just woken up.

This design was loosely inspired by multiple moodboards I found, namely the colours and roughly the shooting star design on the tail.

Entry 1: Arcade Carpet

For this entry, I wanted to do bright neon colors as I find those to be very fun together, and the end result is a space themed Keepsie! The object is a plasma ball, since it fits a lot with the arcade carpet esc design.

Entry 2: Chimera

A Keepsie based on the mythological chimera, I decided to do some edits with the ears and mane of a lion, the horns and hooves of a goat, and the snake tongue and tail. I also wanted the wings to be bat wings to reference a manticore as well. The staff is based on the rod of Asclepius/Caduceus as a nod to mythology as well.

Entry 3: Starsea

For this Keepsie, I wanted to do a simpler and lighter design, and so I ended up with a soft and faded Keepsie. I wanted the pattern to be cat-like, and the object of choice is a gemstone known as a star sapphire, which I the colors I also wanted to accent in the eyes!

Entry 4: Cuddlebug
A Keepsie based on a worn, but very loved plush! I wanted them to have patches where different fabric is used and also themed a bit off of a teddy bear (Which they also have as their item!) I also wanted them to be more fluffy to be more cuddly, Their wings are quilted in the shape of a moth’s as well as some leftover scraps to make their antennae.

As far as standard coloring goes, this is a decent example of what I like to do! I do like to play with heavily contrasting markings, but here I worked with a soft-blend to gently meld in markings for a smooth look.

Similar to the first one, I chose a softer approach for base-lines~ I went for a monochromatic look with a sharp contrast coming from the saturated green between the eyes and orb to draw the eye through the adopt. I wanted the eyes and orb to be the most important thing about this adopt.

In this example, this is more what would consider going into custom territory, as well as showing bolder color transitions without using as much gradients. This one features hair edits, changed ears, moved orb to the front left with a slight change of position of the paw to hold the newly decorated orb. A tail edit accompanies the overall new fluffy look of this Keepsie.

As far as edits for litters, this one is a good example of what to expect. A middle ground of edits and contrast allow the new changes to the lines be the star instead of the colors. However, I do fancy using bolder color choices. This example is softer to show how I might put the limbs in the back in shadow.

I kept these a bit more simplistic, and left the sword dull to be contrasting to the amount of shine on my other submissions!

I designed these to be easily customizable, with all the lineart, shading, and colors toggleable for easy switching.

While these are also designed to be easily customized, they can both be patterned and hue-shifted, such as the ones above, to be recolored within seconds!
