Sylvia and Odette stood paw in paw in the middle of the sun-drenched flower shop, surrounded by a rainbow of petals. The air was thick with the scent of roses, lilies, and jasmine, and Sylvia couldn’t help but close her eyes for a moment, breathing it all in.

“Okay,” Odette said, squeezing Sylvia’s paw. “We need flowers that scream us.”

Sylvia laughed. “So… dramatic and graceful?”

“Exactly.”

The florist smiled at them and gestured to a display of deep red dahlias and delicate white peonies. “Passionate and timeless,” she said.

Sylvia tilted her head, picturing the flowers wrapped around Odette’s bouquet, woven into the decorations, maybe even in her own hair. “They’re perfect,” she whispered.

Odette watched her, her heart full. “Yeah,” she murmured, distracted by Sylvia's sparkling eyes. “Just like us.”

Their wedding was only weeks away, but in that moment, standing in the little flower shop, surrounded by color and love, they already felt married.
