i have some Questions before suggesting names

are these 4 distinct species or 4 version of a single species? i figure the sealy one lives near water but how about the others? what's the VIBE(tm)

yeah some basics would probably be a good thing to explain haha. so it's basically going to be an adopt center with a bunch of species based around the same planet/area/very general background scenario. they're all separate species. there will occasionally be more added, changed, possibly removed if they don't work out, event species, etc. eventually, they'll be an optional arpg sorta thing where you can earn myos and other items through development.

1] semi-arboreal, slender, curious, quick, very expressive with showing emotion with their movements, eat mostly fruit and bugs
2] stocky large mammals, herbivores, typically gentle/non-confrontational demeanor, lots of variety in their fluff and head shapes, large enough to mount/do small farm chores
3] smaller species (maybe like a weasel), smooth scales, mostly carnivorous, antennae pairs help smellt/touch/communicate
4] aquatic and shore-dwelling, have various larger teeth/tusks, great hunters, love caves (i think they'd mess with fishermen haha)

I also have questions before suggestions: would you be alright with names that are based in other languages, such as latin or greek..? Or would you prefer something a little more like simple english such as 'furred swimmers' or 'forest walkers'? ^^

Since it's multiple species I would name it along the lines of "creatures of *insert planet/region name here*"so like, "creatures of vaulder (valley)" or smthn lie that. Doesn't even have to be creatures, just something that insinuated it's more than one thing. As for the individual animals I have no idea, but it would be cute if the first letter of each name made up an anagram

i don't think i'm looking for anything in particular at the moment, just something fitting. i usually go with some sort of silly/meaningless name, but i have no clue for these fellas.

i was thinking something along the lines of "creatures of __" too, but i'm not sure what, perhaps just a made-up regional name. the anagram/acronym idea is cute! not all species are out, nor will they always be consistent, so i'm not sure if it'll work in the long run though.

2. Bunderfluffs, Flooms, Klunders
3. Skreets/Skreeters, Chibbers/Chibbernils, Kribbers
4. Swumpies (singular Swumpy), Glares, Blingers, Grombs/Grombins

Just some silly names thoughts considering their descriptions. ^^ Feel free to use if any of them resonates with your vision for all these cute guys. ^^

the only suggetions I have are
1 - Slinky Tufts for their lonky slinky body, but tuft for their large amount of fur tuffts here and there.
Longjoe - Because theyr'e long and their big ears mad eme think "big eared Joe" for some reason
Monkixen - Monkie x Vixen because their fornt paws reminds me of monkey paws, and vixen for their fox snout

2 - Old Bigun - for their big size, and farm work capabilities.
Farmcloud Colossus or Homestead Cloudlossus - again farm work themed but could for their cloud like big soft fluff, and colossus for their size
Draft Mammoths
Herculesuns

3 - I'ma gonna take a page form FateStoryTeller's book and use a Chameleon as a base for most of the names following:
Anntennameleons - Antenna/antennae chameleons for their curly tail, reptilic scaled and just other basic body features
Motheleon Choppers/ Motheleon weasel - same as above but with a moth aesthetic for the antenna and function while the other half of the body is reptillian, choppers for their maw/snout work like their teeth formation.
Gilameleon Beetle/Weasel - again same as above take an iscent and smash it with a reptilian like a gila mosnster chameleon and the beetle

4 - Loch Dwellers or maybe CaveLochs
you can go something completely on the nose and use the names Fisherman Tales for the monster, implying it's somethng like Nessy and all fisherman have some kind of encoutner tale of it, or the events of their tales having some correlation, a nameless cryptid but the cryptid is real lmao
Karst Leviathan or maybe Karstosaurus


If you do go with a Lemur theme from Fate's suggestions, I will say, I'd be cauious at minimum using treemurs as a name, simply because I know that an old game called Miscrits has copyrighted IP on the name as one of it's creatures so idk. I don't know enough on the topic and copyright nuances and details so I can't confidently preach on that but it is something to keep in the back of the mind just in case

BUT adding onto Fate's suggestion you can also consider the name Arboreaye-aye. Aye-aye are a lemur sub species i think or a variant? I know they're called the long fingered lemurs and they kinda look shivelled like bats lol
