I've decorated a bauble!

Tell me a bit about this bauble! ...Huh! Instead of a bulb, this ornament is more square! It seems to resemble some manner of old device. Faintly glowing, it seems to be on..? Could it be functional? ..as you inspect it further, you realize: no, it can't be. just some fancy lighting. It seems someone forgot to add on buttons to the little computer model, so there's no way to turn it on.. a shame..
The soft creature attached to it is comparatively simple...

{a fisher (pekania pennanti), one of my favorite animals, and an old amber CRT, because i've been thinking about them lately}
