Perhaps the colorations markings(if that is possible) can be based on nautilus shells. Images will be provided. One thing I really want the character to have, but don't have to if it is difficult to do, is their signature item that helps everyone know they are the captain is a bandana around their neck with a nautilus shell looking symbol, or a shell in general. A very BIG OPTIONAL edit you can do is give them barnacles or coral growing from various places. Everything else is free artistic liberty. Especially with colors.
