This is the Rules page. Do not post here. By participating in Starlit Trails, you agree to abide by these rules. Rule changes will be marked and given a 2 weeks notice before being fully enforced. Failure to abide by these rules may result in access to the ARPG being restricted or permanently revoked depending on severity. If you have a question about a rule, please PM NumbatNibbles.

Keeping things safe for all ages.

PG Content Only: All posts, art, and writing must remain appropriate for all ages. No graphic or detailed depictions of violence, gore, or mature themes.

Hunting & Patrols: While hunting or border patrols may involve brief mentions of action, any violence must be implied or generalized (e.g., "the prey was caught" or "the intruder was chased off"). Avoid detailed descriptions whenever possible. Writers may write however they'd like regarding hunting or border patrols, as long as violence is not overly detailed.

Follow Chicken Smoothie Rules: All players must adhere to Chicken Smoothie’s guidelines regarding behavior, art, and roleplaying content. Ensure your posts and interactions stay within these boundaries. If you need a refresher on the rules, please click or tap here.

Respectful Interactions: Treat other players with kindness and respect. Disputes in-game should remain within character, with no personal insults or inappropriate language.

Participation.

Respect the Staff: Always be courteous and follow the directions of the moderators and admins. They are here to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.

No Begging or Guilt-Tripping: Do not ask repeatedly for items, currency, or cats, and avoid making others feel obligated to give something by guilt-tripping.

Ownership of Cats: You may only use cats you own or have been granted permission to use. Stealing or claiming others' cats without permission will not be tolerated.

Required Archives: Each participant must maintain a personal archive of their cats and relevant game information to keep things organized. Archives help track character progress and prevent confusion. Don't know where to make an archive? Click or tap here!

Adopts & Activities.

Blocked Users: If you are blocked by an official artist, you are not allowed to participate in adopting or obtaining any content made by that artist.

Event Participation: If you are blocked by a staff member (moderator, admin, or artist) who is hosting an event or activity, you cannot participate in that specific activity.

No Harassment: Do not confront or harass staff members or artists over being blocked or excluded from activities. Any disputes must be handled through moderation.

Warnings & Bans.

Warnings: Users get a total of 8 warnings. 3 warnings for a restriction, 6 warnings for a temporary ban, and 8 warnings for a permanent ban. Warnings disappear 3 months after the date you received them, on the first weekend of that month.

Restrictions: Users who have Restrictions can still participate in adopts and interacting with the shops, but cannot make wishes at the Moonpool, get kits at the nursery, forage for herbs, or participate in events.

Bans: Users who are Banned will have the records of their ban privately stored. They will keep their cats but will no longer be allowed to participate in any part of Starlit Trails.

Appeals: Users who are Warned, Restricted, or Banned may send an appeal request by sending a private message to NumbatNibbles, where it will be discussed among staff on whether it should be lifted or not.

Private Messaging: Users will get a private message if they get banned, restricted, or publicly warned, explaining what they did. They can choose to appeal if they believe the punishment was wrongful, or if they've changed since then.

Requests: Users who have been warned, restricted, or punished may request details of their warn, restrict, or ban privately by PMing NumbatNibbles, if they haven't already been sent a PM, or if they've lost or deleted their PM.
