Here's the first round of Park results! The next opening date will be announced on the first page on 10/06! Until then all other features, such as the store and animal control, are still open. The first batch of missions will also be going up at the next Park opening.

Story response?: Emote breathes in the fresh air, taking it all in. They haven't been able to go to the parks in so long; so much had changed in the time the parks were closed. Emote looks to their son, Tony. "Son, you may not have been able to see what I've seen—the memories I remembered, but today we make new memories—memories that you'll be able to tell to your siblings when we get home," Emote says, looking away from their son. Tony looks around excited to see everything his siblings would tell him—the things his parent Emote would say to him. Emote takes Tony down their memory lane, resharing stories they had told before and, most importantly, sharing adventured places they've been to before.

The parent-child duo ventures through the Field, taking in all the sights; new and old. The storm has changed many things since either of them were last there, and it doesn't take Emote long to notice that one of their favorite lounging spots is gone. The large oak tree which had offered lifesaving shade in the summer months was gone, leaving nothing in its wake but a large hole. Tony, unaware of the wistful look that had come to Emote's face, dove right in to play with the bugs and exposed roots at the bottom of the hole. Emote remained at its edge, watching their son play as they told stories of the great oak that had once stood there. When Tony had finished with his games and climbed out, he surprised Emote with a single oak leaf he had found while playing. Emote carried it with them the rest of their time at the Park.

Batty and Buzzy treaded through water alongside the lL such a hot day, the cold water was refreshing on their paws. The duo had made it almost half way around the Lake before spotting someone else; a Squinx with deep mauve fur, whose head was lowered as they drank from the Lake. Seeing the other animal drinking from the water they had both been walking through made Buzzy feel guilty, as if they had soiled its quality. He fluttered up onto Batty's back as his companion continued towards the Stray excitedly. Once the Squinx had noticed them, Batty introduced themselves, before giving Buzzy the chance to do so as well. But rather than say his name, Buzzy instead apologized for dirtying their drinking water. The Squinx stared at him for a moment before surprising them both by jumping into the water and splashing them. The two followed suit, and ten minutes later the three soaking wet animals trudged to shore laughing.

Quartz was always excited to go to the Park, because that meant she could swim in the River. She bounded along one of the Forest paths before arriving in a clearing. The River cut through its center, its banks high from the recent rainfall, and surface sparkling in the sunlight. She could hear others playing and talking nearby, but Quartz was alone at this part of the River. Buzzing with excitement, she leapt into the water without hesitation; the cold seeping through her fur and to her skin. But after such a hot trek to get there, it only felt refreshing. Quartz swarm to her heart's content, allowing herself to drift in the easy current before using her tail to swim back to where she'd started. She emerged from the River only when she heard her name being called, and brought with her a souvenir for the day out.

Gloop was ecstatic to be going to the Park. They had heard so much about it from other pets in their neighborhood, but the storms had prevented her from every going herself. The whole drive there, she fantasized about what it would look like in person. But when she arrived, the real deal was like nothing she could have imagined. The sprawling Field was like something from a fairytale; beautiful green grass blowing in the breeze, and scattered wildflowers of every color as far as she could see. As soon as she was set down in the grass, Gloop took off running with a burst of excited energy. She frolicked happily for what felt like hours before finding a soft spot beneath a tree to take a nap. When she awoke sometime later, she found that a leaf had drifted onto her head while she slept.

Maple and Celia had decided to go to the River that day. Usually less crowded than the Lake, it sounded like a fun way to cool off on a hot day, while avoiding any unwanted or awkward socialization. Upon their arrival, the duo was delighted to find that their assumption had been correct, and they had this section of the River to themselves. Maple enjoyed herself wading in the shallows and watching the minnows swim past. Celia meanwhile chose to swim; paddling in circles in the deepest part of the River before diving underneath. Maple was drying on shore sometime later when Celia trotted out of the River; water running from her coat, and a shiny prize in their mouth.

Eli was enjoying himself at the Park that day. He had wandered his way through the Field, taking in the scenery and savoring the warm sunlight on his fur. Then he had taken a short stroll through the edge of the Forest, before continuing on his way to the Lake. Now as he padded along the shore, he felt relaxed and completely at ease. Behind him in the sand was a trail of his paw prints, slowly being washed away by the gentle waves against the shore. He found a spot next to some cattails, and watched the last of them disappear before settling down to nap in their dappled shade. When it came time to leave, he decided to bring one with him.

Geist had wanted to swim that day to beat the heat, but a tentative dip of their paw into the River sent shivers down their spine. The water was much too cold for them to enjoy being in it, heat or not. But they had walked all the way to the River to swim... Refusing to give up, Geist decided to explore further down the River. There were places where the water pooled into shallows -- maybe it could find one where the water was warmed enough by the sun to swim. So they started walking, and sure enough pretty soon they recognized the area it was in. But it soon appeared that they hadn't been the only one with that idea. Up ahead, another animal was lounging in the River shallows; head high as they surveyed the surrounding forest, but their posture relaxed. Geist decided to brave an interaction, and approached; introducing themselves.

Osteopermum and Mangrove chose to stay in the Field that day, rather than venture deeper into the Park. They chased each other through the grass, and rolled in the patches of wildflowers. When they got thirsty, they went to one of the pet water fountains for a drink -- but ended up in a splash-fight that left the both of them soaked, and ready to run around some more. After hours of play, they eventually settled in a heap underneath a flowering bush. There, the exhausted duo fell asleep; and it took calling their names several times to wake them up. Sticks and leaves were stuck in their fur as they scrambled out of the bush at your call.

The Park will be open for 24 hours on 10/07 at CS rollover. It will be closed once more on 10/08. The first batch of missions have also been posted, and will remain up until claimed!
