What is this place?
- PS Adoptables is the latest incarnation of "Pixel Squirrels" -- a user-made adoptable from early 2013. Now in addition to the original Pixel Squirrels, you can adopt newer species, such as Squiks and Squittens!

What happened to the old Pixel Squirrels?
- When the image hosting website "Tinypic" went down, a lot of our old image codes broke in the process. Now that I'm back from my hiatus, I've decided to recreate the adopt under a new name and with new features.

Can I still recover my old Squirrels?
- The short answer: Yes! Any Squirrels drawn by me can be recovered immediately and added to your archive, so long as you can provide proof of ownership. If you so happen to have still functional image codes for old Squirrels not made by me, they can be added to your archive as well. Just shoot me a message and I'll do what I can!

How do I adopt?
- Fill out the adoption form located in our adoption center when a litter is available. Adoptions run on a first come, first serve basis: This means if two forms are posted for the same adopt, the first form gets it. There are also pay-to-adopt releases, free raffles, and blind litters -- you don't see what you're getting until the code drop!

What are pay-to-adopts?
- Our own personal version of store pets, these are adoptables that have major line edits or animations that can be adopted with a small fee of Credits (see our currency exchange). The standard first come, first serve adoption process is used as well.

When do litters get released?
- Because I make the majority of litters here, there is no definite release amount or time. That being said, I try to release upwards of four litters a month (or once a week) at minimum. But everything majorly depends on my real life schedule, and how often I have access to a computer.

Why do you only have guest staff?
- On all previous incarnations of Pixel Squirrels, I've always had difficulty getting at least one member of staff to turn in their work or be active on the thread. It was needlessly stressful for myself and them. So here, we will only be having guest staff who can work when and if they please.

What programs do you use to make the adopts?
- I primarily use Microsoft Paint to create litters, customs, and breedings! All effects, such as transparent backgrounds and animations, I use the website ezgif for. All image hosting for my own adopts is done through Imgur.

A new version of the sailor litter would be adorable! If you ended up doing that, I could even make some squiks in cute lil' sailor hats to accompany it ^-^

I actually wasn't! I got the first one as a birthday present from a member of staff -- it may have been xxshadowluvxx, but I can't be certain. After that though I did release a few baker litters based on the original. Trouble now is figuring out what baker designs I haven't done yet XD

My answer: I love my stray Pixel Squirrel, Lumi,
to the moon and back <3


What litters would you like to see here?
My answer: Sanrio (cinnamoroll!! pompompurin!!),
types of bubble tea and coffees (espresso!!) :D

Hey y’all I’m hoping we can get this thread active! Let me start by introducing myself!

Hi I’m Mazzikin! I was BillyBoi for a few years so you might know me from that! I am a female adult user living in good ol’ canader! (Canada :P) I’m currently a moderator for PS Adoptables so if you have any questions or concerns feel free to PM me anytime!! I seen we had some questions posted so I’ll answer those and hopefully we can start getting some feedback from you all about what you’d like to see from PS Adoptables!

What's your favourite PS species?
My answer:
I love all of them but my favourite would have to be the Squitten! Atlas did such a good job on my custom of my irl boy Toby and I just can’t get over how much I love it!

What litters would you like to see here?
My answer: Elemental litters, Holiday litters,”Error” litters, Milkshakes, different foods, Soda pets! Or my personal favourite Cowboys ;o;

Would be interested in Holiday events or just litters?
My answer: I think events would be so much fun, a couple days to get a few exclusive PS Adopts that are holiday themed would be so much fun, even changing up themes like how CS does different things for summer events would be really neat

What are some things you’d like to see from the thread?
My answer: I think some more activity from new users would be awesome!! We are always looking to expand and create a UMA that’s exciting and creative for you guys!

Would you be interested in more interactive questions?
My answer: Of course! I love talking to people and making new friends so I’m open to being a lil social butterfly when needed! Again my PMs are always open feel free to message anytime about anything!
