WELCOME to the Smitten Kittens event page! Here, you can be part of exciting stories and take part in twisting adventures to earn extra clovers, and kittens! Our events are a little complex, so we'll break it down for you through multiple pages! Be sure to go through ALL of them the first page, so you can make the most out of the time our events run! We only have a few rules for this, but we get wild and crazy with our events - we expect you to do the same, and want everyone to have fun! Please keep reading, and thanks for checking this out! We hope you decide to participate! ♥



1. Be polite and follow all CS rules! No stealing art, writing, etc.. and make sure everything you create is child friendly and within guidelines of the site. You may take your art offsite, but everything must be linked back here. We're not surfing DA trying to find your piece.

2. Respect all staff. It takes time to get back to everyone, and we're doing our best to keep everything updated! If we miss something, kindly let us know and we'll fix it!

3. All clovers and cats from the event will be added to the archive and the bank AFTER the event ends. Do not pester us or freak out if you don't see anything you earned yet in the bank/archive. It'll be there soon!

4. I encourage you to have fun! All I ask is that you follow the rules! <3

5. If you break any of the event rules, you'll be added to the event specific strike page. Once you get five strikes, or if your offense is bad enough like stealing art *cough cough*, you'll be banned! This does not apply to the rest of the Smitten Kittens program - you will only have strikes/be banned from events. Hopefully, I won't have to do that to anyone. (;

When a new event starts, we'll announce it on both the main thread and our discord server, to give you a chance to get ready. This event will work similar to CS Events, where you search for tokens for opportunities to earn limited edition cats and items!

TOKENS: You can earn three kinds of tokens:



PEARLS:
- the most valuable token
- rare token

SAND DOLLARS:
- second most valuable token
- uncommon token

SHELLS:
- least valuable token
- common token



Depending on the type of token you earn, you can save up to buy boxes, which are full of great surprises!

PRIZE BOXES: There are three kinds of boxes you can earn, for a chance to win special items and cats. Each box will come with two prizes! You can either get a kitten and an item, or two items. Each box has a different tier value:




SHARK BOX:

60% chance of getting a legendary kitten/item
30% chance of getting an uncommon kitten/item
10% chance of getting a common kitten/item


CRAB BOX:

20% chance of getting a legendary kitten/item
60% chance of getting an uncommon kitten/item
20% chance of getting a common kitten/item

GUPPY BOX:

10% chance of getting a legendary kitten/item
20% chance of getting an uncommon kitten/item
70% chance of getting a common kitten/item





PRIZES: Prizes have three tier values - legendary, uncommon, or common. These can either be items, or kittens! Depending on the kind of box you buy, you have a better chance of getting the one you want. You can buy as many boxes as wanted, if you have enough tokens.

NOTE: You may get the same item/kitten twice! If so, you may sell it back to us and get refunded, or you can keep it! Items may be used once on any kitten of your choice. To use your items, fill out a form on our main thread. To sell your prize back to us, use this form! (You must provide verification of your purchase of the prize, whether that be a screenshot or a link to your post).

SEARCHING/BUYING TOKENS AND BOXES: The searching system works very similar to the clover search system! Tokens are NOT available for purchase. You may search for tokens twice a day using the form below! All you have to do is post it on this thread, and it'll be added to your player profile. Writing about your "favorite summer activity," will not change. You may write about different activities you like every time you search (psst.. filling that portion out might get you some extra tokens! )

Q: CAN I STILL JOIN AFTER THE EVENT HAS STARTED?
A: Yes! You have the opportunity to join and play until winners are announced!

Q: HOW DO I KNOW WHEN AN EVENT HAS BEGUN?
A: We will announce it on our main thread, and our discord server!

Q: HOW LONG DO EVENTS LAST?
A: Events typically last nine days, to allow everyone enough time to answer prompts and go through quests.

Q: WHEN WILL I GET CLOVERS AND KITTENS I EARNED FROM THE EVENT?
A: All clovers and kittens earned from the event will be added to your account after the event.

Q: HOW MANY CLOVERS AND KITTENS CAN I GET FROM AN EVENT?
A: It depends on participation, and the quality of your responses! People who take part in prompts and quests and put effort into their answers will have more than someone who gives it their minimum effort. You can earn a lot of clovers from an event, so I would recommend trying your best!

Q: IS THERE A FEE TO PARTICIPATE?
A: No! An event is free to take part in! (:

Q: HOW DO I GET A PLAYER PROFILE?
A: The first time you post for a prompt or a quest, a profile will be made for you - OR you can ask for one.

Q: HOW LONG WILL MY PROFILE BE THERE?
A: Your profile will be there until the end of the event! All profiles will be wiped at the end of the event to keep it fair for new players.

Q: WHAT OPTIONS DO I HAVE FOR A PROMPT?
A: You can write or draw a response!

Q: CAN TREASURE BE TRANSFERRED TO CLOVERS?
A: No, treasure is an event specific currency, and can't be used anywhere outside of our event thread. All treasure banks will be reset after the event ends.

Q: WHAT IS A ROUND?
A: A round is the amount of time a prompt is available to respond to. For example: if our events run for nine days, we will split it into three rounds. There will be three prompts, in which everyone will have three days to respond to one before the next is released.

Q: WHEN CAN I DO QUESTS?
A: Quests are available all throughout the event. You can do them until we announce the winner!

Q: WHAT CAN I DO AFTER I'M DEAD?
A: After you die, you are NOT allowed to participate in prompts or rounds. BUT you can still earn treasure, clovers, and kittens from doing quests!

Q: HOW ARE WINNERS DETERMINED?
A: The top three players with the highest amount of treasure are the winners (first place, second place, and third place). They will be given a special prize!

Q: WHEN ARE WINNERS ANNOUNCED?
A: Winners will be announced on the 10th day. On the 10th day, you will not be able to earn any more treasure, clovers, or kittens - the event is closed. It's just for winner announcements.

Q: AM I GUARANTEED TO GET SOMETHING FROM THE EVENT?
A: Yes! If you participate in prompts and quests, you will always get clovers and treasure for responding!

seeing a splash of water from your bottle hit the panther and the panther back up you think "all cats hate water" so you open the bottle prepared to splash the panther if it got close to you. knowing the panther is watching you you splash a little more water on it as i backs up you cover the top of the bottle and hide in the bushes
