- I strongly discourage only interacting with characters that you want as potential love interests for your characters. That's not the only thing that's the focus for the roleplay

- "Skating Name" is simply a nickname that the character uses when skating. It's typically something that sounds 'fast', like 'Flash', or 'Silver Bullet'.

Morgan Uzcatia | 24 | Female | The Reigning Champion
Skating Name: Greaseball
Pronouns: She/Her
Sexuality: Lesbian

Personality: Confident, boastful and proud, Morgan considers herself leader of the pack. She's sassy, but she has the awards and trophies to back her up. She's not particularly friendly towards others, especially if they're not part of her crew (ie people that suck up to her), and even more especially if they don't recognise her status as the current reigning champion. Anyone she deems to be not good enough to race against her, she'll tease, and she is very picky about who she'll choose to team up with - after all, she's not interested in being slowed down or someone that's not good enough for her. She tends to lash out if her pride takes a hit. When she's not on her high horse (which is... not often), Morgan does secretly have a more genuinely friendly side to her. For those that may be close to, she will be very protective and loyal.

Bio: Morgan started skating at 12 - only in a casual capacity at first, of course, but she steadily grew more competitive, wanting to go fast and prove she was the fastest. Though she could only start a professional career at 18, that's not to say she wasn't training since the age of 16. Her parents were very reluctant to allow Morgan to persue such a path - after all, the risks and dangers outweighed the benefits in their minds - but they saw how confident she grew with it, and her coaches had said she was extremely promising.
Though it's a niche sport, the kind that wouldn't typically draw a crowd, Morgan found that it was a community that had more of an audience than expected. Her ego grew the more she won. She only teamed up with someone if it was mandatory, and soon learned to choose only the best to pair up with.
This is her 4th year in the championship races, and has won the previous 2 years, although her first time without her usual partner, who was badly injured and forced to drop out, so Morgan will have to pair up with another competitor.

Jade McCoy | 37 | Female | The Veteran

Personality: Jade is a warm, friendly woman that tries her best to be encouraging and pushes others to do their very best. She sometimes feels that she has to prove a point, especially if she gets teased or pushed by others to do so, giving into peer pressure fairly easily. As a result, she can overestimate her own abilities as she lives in her glory days. Jade is earnest and passionate, especially about rollerskating, even though it has been a number of years since she's skated competitively. She is also something of a mentor for some skaters, helping to coach them and encourage them - her patience and trustworthiness making her well-liked by her mentees. She hopes to be inspiring to the younger skaters as well, by making her way back into the championship races once again.

Bio: Jade started skating at 15, first in a junior roller derby league, then a more senior one as she became an adult, before going into other races - such as the roller maze, which was a bit of a transition as it wasn't as aggressive as roller derby. She found herself to be a strong skater, though, and at 23, won the championship races. By 30, she'd won 4 other times, eventually 'retiring' from the sport because of a knee issue. It broke her heart to do so, but got into coaching younger skaters and encouraging them to go for the championship as well. Now, she once again has found the urge to put her skates on again, and has managed to climb her way back up the ladder enough to earn her a place in the championship races - though she's ignoring the twinge in her knee, determined to get as far as she can and prove she still has it in her.

Asher Raine | 23 | Male | The Outcast

Sexuality: Bisexual

Personality: Charming and confident, Asher is friendly towards those that he talks to, though is quick to be sharp towards those that are rude to him. He doesn't seem to be too bothered with the fact that he is often outcasted by others, and knows that he doesn't really fit in with most of the other skaters. A bit of a free spirit, he does what he likes to do and doesn't let himself be restricted by social conventions. Asher is also very much an environment-forward person - he recycles everything that he can, focuses on low/no-waste products, grows his own vegetables in a large patch in his garden, is a vegan, and uses solar panels - but he does have a tendency to be quite preachy about it, which perhaps contributes to his outcast status.

Bio: Asher grew up in a bohemian, hippie family, where he learned all his environmentally-friendly habits from, and has done his best to not deviate from them as he got older. He started skating at 14, mainly to get around the town and to and from school - something that earned him quite a bit of teasing from his classmates, but he did his best to ignore it - and it was quite a while before it became something that he decided to try on a more competitive level. Eventually, after much training, this year he has finally managed to make it to the Championship races and looks forward to proving everyone that doubted and/or outcasted him wrong.

Appearance:
A handsome male with tannish skin but it’s a bit lighter of a complexion. He has curly dark hair, and his eyes are dark. His lips are nice, his nails are nice, his hair is kept nice and his skin is kept nice. His hair is to his shoulders in length. A little bit past the shoulders but not by much. His dark eyes are brown, to be specific, and he has medium lashes framing them. He’s clean shaven, and has a variety of clothes. He seems to favor red shades as well as gray, and has jeans, shorts, shirts, tank tops, socks and shoes.

Personality:
Jimmy is an artsy and confident soul. However, he’s a bit of a worry wart at times, and he’s also cold if he’s angry. He’s gentle and intelligent. This makes people want to be around him and have conversations. However, he gets nervous at times, and is also icy if angered. He’s just (has a sense of justice), and a kind soul. At the same time, he’s a bit jumpy (during extreme weather or sudden loud sounds), and a bit klutzy. That doesn’t happen often though. It’s enough for people to think he shouldn’t be skating, though. He’s a good guy, but gets overwhelmed by certain things. He’s friendly but fierce (protective). He’s also soft and sweet, but shy and he’s stubborn. He’s willing to lend an ear, but he’s also withdrawn if people do something that is actually upsetting.

Bio:
He was raised in a family that loves animals. His father is a veterinarian and his mom has a wildlife rescue (but she also takes in per rabbits, and some dogs and cats. The family fosters tamed animals. They don’t let them near the wild animals, of course.) He grew up with chipmunks, squirrels, foxes, wild rabbits. They’ve even had some baby deer and wild rodents. He started skating when he was fourteen, discovering an interest in it. At that time, he was doing it because it was an activity to do with friends. There was a roller rink, a small one, where he grew up. He later found out about competitive skating and such. He did a lot of training for that. He’s been underestimated and overlooked…but he’s prepared to give it his all.

Appearance:
A beautiful girl with creamy peachy skin. She has nice lips and nails, and hair and skin she takes good care of. Her lashes are a bit longer, and her eyes are a gray looking color. She wears glasses most of the time, but uses contacts for skating. She has long red hair, which she normally puts in a bun or crown braid. She also can just pull it back into a ponytail, or pull it into two parts and secure it with bands. She has a variety of clothes. She likes the pretty and cutesy ones most, but she’ll wear tank tops, sweaters, hoodies and flannels too.

Personality:
Anna is adventurous and a dreamer. However, she’s a bit of a worry wart, and she doesn’t always listen to others. She’s friendly but fiery, fun loving, but can be fierce. However, she’s only fierce if she’s being protective of others, so while it may be seen as a negative trait, she’s a good girl. She’s gentle as well as humorous. However, she gets nervous and she’s also headshy. She’s intelligent but irritable (only sometimes), joyful but jumpy (a bit.) Anna is a loving and loyal girl, but can get loud and she likes mischief. She’s noble but nervous (usually around crushes.) Anna is outgoing but ornery at times. Anna is a playful soul but can get peeved, and she’s sweet but stubborn. She’s sensible yet strong willed, as well as willing to lend an ear but withdrawn at times.

Bio:
Anna was born twenty two years ago to Abramm and Amy Miles. They have named all their kids with A names, and Anna is actually a twin. She and Adam are the oldest two. They have a younger sister Alliie, and their youngest brother is Arkk. Yes, that is legitimately her youngest sibling’s name. Anyhow, she only began skating recently, though when she was younger she used to do it. She stopped skating at the end of middle school. Now she’s back, and she’s been training, and she can hardly believe she’s made it to the championship.

Tom Pilgrim | 23 | Male | The Mysterious
Skating Name: Electra

Sexuality: Bisexual

Personality: Arrogant, self confident and self centred, Tom views himself as superior to everyone around him. He doesn't waste time with being friendly, only seeing others for their usefulness to him, however being useful to him has its perks, as he is very rich, and will throw as much money as is needed at someone to get them to help him. He refuses to race with anyone he doesn't deem worthy or doesn't like, but he's very talented at racing so it's not too bad of an idea to go along with him if chosen.

Bio: Tom was always rich and spoiled throughout life. He did many things throughout his childhood, throwing money at the things to become good at them. But nothing ever seemed to really interest him, not until he tried out skating. It didn't take long for him to get all the best coaches to teach him, as well as all the best gear. But even with all this, he still wanted more. He wanted to go faster. And so, after looking at the rules of official competitions and seeing that there was nothing forbidding modified skates, he got himself a pair of electric rollerskates made, specifically for him. They were designed to go faster than someone who was skating normally, and despite the risks of going too fast, he still got them made, as well as a set of protective gear for himself in the unlikely occasion he would crash. With these skates, a skating name and a hired entourage to assist him with anything he might need, he began training with them until eventually, he was certain that he would crush all his competition in the championship races.
