Chiyo is an empathetic, imaginative, creative, and understanding soul. If someone she cares for needs a
shoulder to cry on, she will be there in a heartbeat, listening quietly and offering advice as needed (she
may or may not shove some baked goods into their hands as well). A true romantic at heart, Chiyo tends
to look at the world through rose-colored glasses, a trait that can sometimes get her into trouble. She is
someone who tries to look for the good in everyone even if it means she gets taken advantage of. Chiyo
still has a ways to go when it comes to learning how to stand up for herself, but with the help of friends
and family, she is slowly improving in this area.

- Confident and extraverted, Aurelius thrives around other people, but has a tendency to either ignore or not notice when someone might want to be left alone. He's a bright, warm presence, and although he's not necessarily loud - though he does like to talk - his absence is usually notable (especially if you're around him a lot). He is quite vain, and it is not unusual to see him looking into a mirror, and will avoid getting dirty or having something happen that will negatively affect his appearance by any means necessary, such as using someone as a shield if there's a spray of mud/water from a bike passing by, for example. Though he is confident, he is not cocky, and is always excited to encourage others, even his challengers.
- Aurelius is from Lilycove City, and with a fairly wealthy family. He has had a very fortunate upbringing, but does mean he can be a little out of touch with how others grew up and have experienced life. His first Pokémon was [insert 1st form], receiving it at the age of 10 from his parents, who always only wanted to ensure he had the best. He took a ferry from Lilycove to get to Slateport, and spent some time taking a journey around the region, training and catching the Pokémon in his team, but had never actually taken the league challenge until he was 15, since he had quite a blasé attitude about it and didn't really care. His journey was for fun, and he often travelled to other regions just to explore. Indeed, when he did take the league challenge at 15, he also spent time entering contests. At first just for fun, but found a great love for it as well. Wallace happened to watch a contest that he entered and saw a lot of potential in Aurelius, and so he ended up being mentored by Wallace for contests - Aurelius loves using Pokémon that aren't considered to be the typical contest Pokémon and showing off how talented and beautiful they can be. As a result, he didn't actually challenge the Elite Four and ascending to become Champion until he was 17. He tends to get accused of favouring contests over his Champion-duties, but he just laughs at that.
Aurelius is also very prominent on social media, starting a Pokégram when he started his league challenge and contest career, garnering many followers that he still maintains today.

adelaide is calm and collected, very rational, and usually quite blunt. she cares little for others' feelings and instead tries to be the voice of reason in a situation where emotions could get out of control. she tends to take the most rational path, even if it might not be the most empathetic one. she is quiet and prefers reading over interacting with others. she is very analytical and has a habit of psychoanalyzing others without realizing it. she often asks questions others would find uncomfortable and has trouble picking up on social cues. she genuinely enjoys battling and cares deeply for her pokemon's well-being and the wellbeing of others' pokemon. she often cares more for pokemon than people, which others usually find offputting. she can be quite stubborn and its hard to change her mind once its set on something, and isn't very flexible in that regard, to the point where it can often blind her to the flaws in whatever she's thinking. she is very mature for her age and is very meticulous when it comes to planning, though she often forgets to take others' emotions into account when doing so. some refer to her as 'the robot of sinnoh' due to her lack of empathy.
history:
she was born in hearthone city, and raised there. growing up, she had trouble making friends so she'd often run off to mt. coronet as a child to spend time alone. that's where she met her first pokemon, dratini. the dratini was injured from a fight with a gravler, so she nursed it back to health and they've been inseparable ever since. while adelaide didn't have many friends growing up, she always found herself gravitating towards pokemon, having a strange affinity for befriending them. she became a pokemon trainer when she was 13 and explored her whole region with her pokemon before challenging gyms, wanting to meet every pokemon sinnoh had to offer. she even encountered a few pokemon she had only ever seen in old paintings and statues. she was very careful when challenging gyms and the elite four, making sure she and her pokemon were fully prepared and had the highest likelihood of success. her caution and preparation ultimately ended up with her challenging the sinnoh champion when she was 18 and the challenge ended with her becoming the champion of her region, a title she's held for almost four years now.
