welcome to shadeclan, an extremely proud group of cats who have lived within the dense pine f
orests of austria for generations. loyalty is a core value within the clan and they live and breath
e for each other. however, following the mysterious death of beloved past leader stonestar, ten
sions have risen between cats who once shared intimate tongues. there is objectively nothing w
rong with the new leader, besides an ominous ill omen delivered to the clan's medicine cat depi
cting this cat as unfit to lead. word of this omen hasn't reached the clan yet, but when it does,
will they side with their fine new leader who has never wronged them yet, or will they side wit
h their medicine cat, who ultimately speaks for their worshipped ancestors? as loyal as these ca
ts are, never before have they had to choose who their loyalties lie with.

Foxstar is a tough cat, never stepping down without a fight. She has her standards and her morals and she stands by them, wanting to keep the clan together no matter what. She is offended that starclan thinks she is a bad leader, and tries to do everything she can to keep her clan's faith in her. Foxstar as a result of this omen no longer has faith in her warrior ancestors, only in herself. She doesn't trust others easily, believing that most cats aren't true to their word. But she is. If she promises something she'd do it to hold to her word.

When she was a kit, her mother died of green cough. Fox star doesn’t remember her mother, but her older brother did. The two were close, but he died right after Foxstar became a warrior. This is part of the reason she has so many trust issues because as a kit, her brother always promised her that he would come back to her. He promised her this the day he went off to ward off a badger, but her brother never came back.

character burntclaw could easily be described as an immovable object. he will
not bend, and he will not break no matter what is thrown his way, and he will
do it all with an expression of stone. but underneath his outward appearance
of stoicism and even apathy, burntclaw is a bumbling sweetheart. he wouldn't
tell a soul, but something he wants most in life is to build a family and to leave
the mark of a kinder tom than his own father did.

past born as the oldest of a litter of three to a warrior molly and a rogue tom.
his mother was ashamed of her dalliance with a non-clan cat, and hid the birth
of her kits. she had planned to keep them a secret, tucked away in a fox set
until they were old enough to fend for themselves, but he - then known as caine
- followed his mother on her return to camp. he was adopted into the clan as
an orphan kit with his mother covering up their relationship until the day she
died.

character truth be told, sparrowstripe is more awkward than anything and
he's about as dense as a box of rocks, both of which have opened up too
many opportunities for others to tease and bait him. but that has yet to
stop him and his unwavering optimism and fierce dedication. he may not
know the best thing to do in a situation, but he would go to the dark
forest before he gave up, even if it is for a cat who has wronged him in
the past. he is quite the kind and forgiving soul, and will continue to be
that way no matter how often he is needled for it.

past born sparrowkit alongside his sister, robinkit, he was raised to be kind
and loving to his family and clan. while their mother was killed when they
were only a few moons old, sparrowkit and robinkit were determined to
uphold her legacy by maintaining the caring mannerisms they were taught
in their mother's final days. even today, the two siblings behave as they
learned as kits.

character whitemyrtle is a brilliant warrior, whose outward appearance can be
a little deceiving. she approaches every situation with calculations, from the
simplest social interactions to a strike in the midst of battle. however, despite
her cold exterior, she loves those around her. whether it be her blood family,
or a lost loner in the woods, she does her best to be kind and warm, as she
always hoped she would be treated.

past whitemyrtle's upbringing was almost normal for a warrior. she was born in
a litter of two to a pair of respected warriors in the clan, with her mother
eventually being appointed deputy. as a result, she and harekit were raised
both spoiled and strictly, driving both kits to develop unusually polar traits of
calculating coldness but over whelming love.
