Here at Mountainside, we specialize in all forms of riding!

Layout!

Here at Mountainside we have large and small pastures fit your horses liking! Come to the large bulletin board in the main hall to sign up for pasture times! We have private Pastures for rent and public pastures for everyone's use!

After you arrive, you can take your horse to one of our two barns. Barn number one is very large and is for equestrian riders! There are two indoor arenas attached. There are 110 stalls in barn one to accommodate your horses! Barn two is very large also and Is located to the left of the English barn, and has 120 stalls! There are three arenas attached, two large and one small.

Every Month, we host a large show, Mountainside Eventing. It lasts for about 5 days, and you can win big money, and learn a lot from other riders!

Next we will take you to the dorms, located above each barn! There are large common rooms for each barn. There are two beds each in each dorm, so yes, you will be staying with another person. In each common room, they will have breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day, and every Friday night, there will be parties and both English and western can interact and party with each other.

We also have 4 outdoor arenas, 2 westerns, and 2 English. There is also a large arena. This arena is only used for eventing and will be off-limits to those who do not sign up for times. We also have 2 cross country arenas and plenty of acreages for you to ride around in trails in the beautiful Maine wilderness.

Barn Rules ( Can Be Broken )

1. Always wear a helmet if you're under 25 years

2. No going out riding past 11:00 PM

3. Western riders can visit English dorms, but they may not sleep there. Same with English riders

4. Girls are not allowed to sleep with boys

5. Always tell someone if you are going out on the trails, so if you get lost, we can find you.

6. Listen to your elders. If they tell you to stop, stop.

7. Always put tack away after use.

8. If you are western and English, you may choose what barn you are in

9. No abusing your or others horses

10. You MUST be over 16 years to own a stallion

11. No riding other peoples horses without there permission

12. Whips and spurs are allowed, but if you overuse them, they will be taken away

Keep characters in the 12-30 range, unless you want your character that's a trainer to be over 30 years!

History: Jordan was born with horses in his blood. His grandpa breed TB's. They how ever lived in town, when Jordan was 5 however they moved to a small farm and started to raise show horses. A pony came into Jordan's life around this time. Jordan was 8 when he met Juliet . The mare and him quickly bonded and started to show together in Eq they won sometimes. When he was 10 they started Show Jumping. He rode a number of other horses as will for his trainer and parents. When his mare was 16 he met a gelding named Casper, he brought home the soar and they climbed the Eq ranks. Two years later he sold another horse and brought a baby to train, a paint named Loon, this is the first year he has really showed the baby. When Juliet was 17 he made the tough call to retire her, through he hacks her lightly form time to time. He watched the rider's form here growing up and there trainer asked him to train with them last fall.

Loon takes care of his riders.He is young but you wouldn't now it form his behavior. He is solid for green broke. He has no vices or bad habits. He has recently started his show career, but has very minimal experience at the moment. He did well.He is great out on the trails and has vary little spook.Great movements on this guy, with a great mind and a careful jump. He has also been ridden western and has experience in parades. He loads, bathes, clips and ties with no fuss. He is very relaxed and laid back. Jordan brought him with the money from selling a horse when he was a 3 year old.

Casper came form a will known Equation rider, 5 years ago lightly schooled on the flat and ground poles/cavalittl . Jordan took on the clown of a gelding and schooled him into the highly trained horse he is. Casper is a slow mover and a nice one at that. Casper is all serous under saddle but once your off him he becomes a puppy. Casper knows simple tricks. He has been known to tow buckets and brushes. he can steal things form his boy's pockets. Out in the field or in his stall Casper loves his jolly ball.

There would be no Jordan without Juliet, the boy credits everything to the bay mare. Through now she is is mostly retired Jordan brought her with him so he could hack and spend time with her when ever possible. Juliet is devoted to her boy as is he to her. She is sweet as pie and was used for lessons as will as being Jordan's first show horse. She loves to be groomed and messed with.
