Not long after Kronos was defeated by his children and the Olympians took rule,
the Olympian council started to shape up. Zeus added his children; Ares, Hephaestus,
Athena, Hermes, Artemis, Apollo, and Aphrodite. Hestia gave up her seat to his child,
Dionysus. Soon after, something special happened. A child was born and she was hidden
away in Poseidon's palace for many reasons. When the child was 8 years old, she was
taken alongside 27 demigods to train. When they were only 12 years old, they were
given positions. Keep in mind, child labor laws and stuff didn't exist back then
and they were pretty mature.

These positions were split into two groups: the successors and the guardians.
Not only were the successors there to guard the primordials, they were
also there to take over should they fade. The guardians were made to protect
the Olympians, except for one son of Apollo. He was made a guardian to
protect the young goddess, who became Chaos's successor. With both being
of high stature (the boy being born to a princess), they were betrothed from
the start and married at 16 (again, this was legal back then).

Flash forward a few millennia. It is now 2018. All of the successors managed
to survive, but only 8 of 15 guardians remain. How will they hold out
if a war comes? One so big, that even Chaos's successor will struggle to
fight this war?

There is only one REALLY specific character other than the main, which is her guardian/husband. Everyone else can range in godly parent, although I am dictating the genders. If you DO decide to take up her husband, please pm me before typing up a history if I don't have my form up. Now, keep in mind, these characters are thousands of years old, so times were different when they were growing up. They didn't have any kind of technology and they certainly don't want any part in it.

Okay. I realized as I was typing out the successors' and guardians' powers that it can be confusing if you don't follow it properly. So, here's how I can break it down.

Chaos - Most powerful being in the universe
Order - 2nd most powerful being
Void - 3rd most powerful being
Maritae - 4th most powerful being; charge's powers stronger than the strongest primordial (aside from chaos), contains her godly powers at a strong primordial's level
Maritae's husband to be named by a user later - 5th most powerful being; charge's powers stronger than primordials, but weaker than Maritae's, contains his demigod powers at a mediocre primordial's level
Primordials - Self explanatory
Successors - Powers from charge are at a weak primordial's level; demigod abilities at a strong titan's level

Chaos's Successor

As Chaos's successor, Maritae's powers are pretty much limitless, although she is weaker than the creator. As the fourth most powerful being in the universe, she has trained hard every day. She can create pretty much anything and can destroy 3/4 of a universe if provoked. She is the leader of the successors, as well as Chaos's top assassin. She will never admit to this, though. She's pretty humble. But, don't go thinking she's perfect. Far from. She's very loyal and would die for anyone, so any death that happens on her watch is more weight on her shoulders. She already has enough basically being the Princess of the Universe. She's also known for taking others' pain and projects onto her shoulders and stresses herself out too much. When this happens, she can be a little snappy. She keeps her skills from her mother a secret and never shows them to anyone aside from her husband and the people who know.

Aether's Succesor

As Aether's successor, _____ will be able to control the winds. He will be strongest when in the upper air, which is the air the gods breathe, seeing as that's Aether's domain. He can control the wind spirits, cause massive windstorms, and create things out of air. He can also wind travel.

Ananke's Successor

As Ananke's successor, _____ is able to control fate and the Fates to a certain degree. She must carry out Ananke's orders of fate and cannot intercept otherwise. She is also able to see what is necessary and what isn't. She may not seem powerful, but she's probably up there, only surpassed by Maritae and her husband. Maybe _____ (Tartarus's Successor).

Chronos's Successor

As Chronos's successor, _____ will have a good control over time. At this point, he will be able to stop, slow, or speed up time for at least two or three hours without tiring. He has a good sense of time (I would hope so), so he always knows the exact time and date. To a certain degree, since death happens at a certain time, _____ will be able to see how much time a hero has left to live.

Erebus's Successor

As Erebus's successor, _____ will have control over darkness. She wears all black, has black hair, dark eyes, but pale skin. She is able to make a place go dark for a few hours if she wants to. She can hide in shadows and even shadow travel. She can control the shadows, as well. Her powers go hand in hand with Nyx's successor, which is why the other successors think they would make a good couple. She can create anything from darkness, but the object will disappear the moment light comes into play.

Nyx's Successor

As Nyx's successor, _____ will be more powerful at night, sort of like Hecate. Like Erebus's successor, he wears all black, has black hair, dark eyes, and pale skin. At night, he is able to control the shadows. He can shadow travel and control the shadows. Much like _____, he can create things out of darkness, but only at night. Throughout the day, he has to rely on his combat skills. Because of this, he's pretty skilled with his weapon.

Eros's Successor

As Eros's successor, _____ is able to do a lot of things that a demigod child of Aphrodite would be able to. She is able to create couples, or break them up, unlike the demigods. She can charmspeak, but it is way more powerful and she can gain control over a titan or even a weak primordial. She can speak French, as well. She also has a high sense of fashion. _____ is able to play with emotions.

Hemera's Successor

As Hemera's successor, Nikolaos is the opposite of _____. He is more powerful during the day. He can create things out of light, but only during the day. He can light travel, which can blind or kill someone if they're looking directly at him and they are not immortal. He wears bright colors, has blonde hair, blue eyes, and is pretty tan. He can bend the light to his will, as well. He's a chill, laid-back guy and pretty fun to be around, unlike _____.

Gaia's Successor

As Gaia's successor, _____ is able to control the earth. She weakens anytime she is off of the ground. She can create earthquakes like a demigod child of Poseidon, but to a higher degree. Animals tend to love her, since she tends to represent the animals' habitats and will usually follow her command. She can trap people in the earth, as well.

Phanes's Successor

As Phanes's successor, _____ has a pretty bland title. He is the successor of the primordial of procreation. I really shouldn't have to describe anything. It's pretty self-explanatory. To keep it safe for little kids, I'm gonna say he can create life out of nothing, but only to a certain degree. He can create a mortal (not a demigod or immortal) and creatures out of nothing.

Pontus's Successor

As Pontus's successor, _____ has control over the ocean. She has all the demigod powers a child of Poseidon would have, except on a higher degree. She is able to sustain control much longer and can create stronger hurricanes, typhoons, and tsunamis. She is able to hold contact with sea creatures, as well. On top of that _____ has control over ice and can mist travel, which is traveling by sea mist. She is able to alter her form to be completely water and solidify it.

Tartarus's Successor

As Tartarus's Successor, _____ is the Prince of the Pit. He can close and open Tartarus as he pleases, as long as he clears it with his charge, and has control over the monsters in said pit. He is able to tell who enters and leaves the place. He is able to sentence a being to the pit, as well. He is the most feared successor apart from Maritae, but less feared than her husband/guardian. He is an intense individual that doesn't speak unless he has something to say.

Zeus's Guardian

As Zeus's Guardian, _____ will have control over the skies, thunder, lightning, air, and justice. Every guardian is as powerful as a minor god, but Zeus's guardian is more powerful than the rest since her charge is the king of the gods. Her powers include atmokinesis (weather manipulation), aerokinesis (control over air), and electrokinesis (control over lightning). She possesses natural leadership and bravery. She also has a strong sense of justice (even when Zeus doesn't, which is ironic since he's the god of justice).

Hades's Guardian

As Hades's Guardian, _____ will have control over the dead and several other things. As a guardian of one of the Big Three, his senses, agility, and speed will be greater than most except for Zeus and Poseidon's. On the speed part, Hermes's successor will have him beat. He will be able to create fissures, manipulate darkness, control the bodies/spirits of the dead, and manipulate fear. Seeing as this is the Greek aspect, he will have no control over riches and is one of the more feared guardians.

Poseidon's Guardian

As Poseidon's Guardian, _____ will have control over the sea, earthquakes, hurricanes, horses, and sea creatures. As a guardian of one of the Big Three, their senses, agility, and strength are only surpassed by Zeus's guardian, and their speed only by Hermes's guardian. She will possess hydrokinesis (control over water), cryokinesis (limited control over ice and the cold), and geokinesis (earthquakes). She will possess the ability to telepathically communicate with horses and sea creatures, as well.

Hermes's Guardian

As Hermes's guardian, _____ will have control over thievery, travel, and speed. He will be faster, more nimble, and more cunning than the other guardians. He can pick locks with just about anything and steal anything without anybody noticing. He also will possess a good sense of direction, since Hermes is the god of travelers. He is able to strike a good deal and is a very good entrepreneur. He still possesses his demigod abilities.

Apollo's Guardian

As Apollo's guardian, _____ has control over medicine, oracles, truth, prophecy, light, archery, music, and poetry. She is very cheery and is never caught with a frown unless caught in a battle/war. She has excellent musicianship and poetry, photokinesis (control over light), precognition (the ability to see future events, but less so than Ananke's successor), biokinesis (the ability to manipulate the body and genes), and pyrokinesis (control over heat, fire, and vulnerability to such). She can only see events up to a week in advance and doesn't see every detail. She is also an excellent healer and archer.

Athena's Guardian

As Athena's guardian, _____ will have skills in wisdom, war strategy, intellectual events, invention, and architecture. He is incredibly intelligent, but pretty shy. He and Poseidon's guardian bicker almost as much as their charges. There isn't much to say about this guardian aside from what I've already said. He's also a master craftsman when it comes to useful crafts such as sewing and stitching.

Artemis's Guardian

As Artemis's guardian, _____ will possess lunakinesis (control over moonlight), umbrakinesis (see Hades's guardian for description), increased stealth, agility, speed, archery, and senses, seeing as they have to hunt. She is very close to her charge and knows a secret that only her, Maritae's guardian, Artemis, Apollo, Hera, Athena, Hestia, and Poseidon know of (might be revealed as the roleplay goes). The hunt loves her and respects her much as Artemis, almost like she's the lieutenant, although she has refused the position on many occasions. She still possesses her demigod abilities.

Maritae's Guardian

As Maritae's guardian, _____ is the fourth or fifth most powerful being in the universe. He and Maritae met when he was 10 during training, started dating at 14, not long after being appointed as her guardian, and got married at 20. They've had a few children over the few millennia (they might be mentioned here and there). He possesses the ability to create and destroy (only half as much as Maritae), teleport, has white wings, and is the second in command of the successors. He also still possesses his abilities from being a demigod child of Apollo, although his skills only match up to a titan's much like every other successor and their demigod abilities. He has blonde hair, blue eyes, and tan skin. He is just as light-hearted as Maritae, very kind, intelligent (although it may not seem like it), and just an all around good guy.

Maritae's life has been nothing short of long and complicated. She was born in 1260 BC in Athens, Greece to Poseidon and a secret goddess. The goddess remains a virgin, however, so there was a way to have her without... well... you know. She was taken to be raised in Atlantis with Poseidon and Amphitrite and passed off as their child. To do so, Hecate was in on the plan to hide her traits that she got from her mother, which were colored streaks in her hair and specks of another color in her eyes. She was also told to not use certain abilities outside of the palace. She grew up a happy little goddess, always swimming about, making friends, and making others laugh. She also enjoyed music, so she would sing with Amphitrite every day at a certain time. Her mother never came to visit her (or so she thought), but some of the other gods and goddesses did. She actually didn't know who her mother was for a while.

When she was 8 years old, Chaos, the creator of the universe, picked her and 27 demigods to go with him and train. So for 12 years, she trained hard with her abilities over water, the abilities she gained from her mother, swordsmanship, etiquette, so on and so forth. During training, she met a boy who was 2 years older than her named _____. He was a demigod son of Apollo and she was just naturally drawn to him. They became the best of friends, along with several of the others. Chaos watched them diligently, even when they thought he wasn't watching. He was proud of their seriousness. Everything started to change for all of them when Maritae turned 12 years old.

On her 12th birthday, Chaos, called them to the throne room. Once they were there, they saw all of the primordials, gods (including Hestia and Hades), and about 1,200 people. Slowly, Chaos started a speech on training, hard work, and all the works. It was hard for a bunch of ADHD demigods (aside from Maritae, since she was a full goddess) to pay attention. He talked about starting up two programs and he was going to sort the 27 of them instantly.

One by one, she watched as they got their title as guardian. Kallias (son of Zeus) became Hera's guardian, Lykourgus (son of Hephaestus) for Hestia, Zenais (daughter of Dionysus) for Demeter, Sappho (daughter of Athena) for Ares, Kallistrate (daughter of Demeter) for Dionysus, Athanasious (son of Apollo) for Aphrodite, so on and so forth. Neither her nor _____ got a guardian position and she was interested. He went through the successors and again left them out. This was what he said, "You may have noticed I left Maritae and _____ out. I have a reason for this. _____, you are going to be Maritae's guardian. Maritae, you are going to be my successor." Everyone's jaws dropped at this as they received their blessings. When they did so, White wings grew from _____'s back and black from Maritae's. The 1,200 other people were recruited into his army. So began their new lives with the successors (plus _____) not being on Earth.

Through the next four years, Maritae and _____ started dating, then got married when Maritae was 16 and _____ was 18. Maritae continued her princess duties, since technically she was considered princess of the universe as Chaos's successor. Also, she formed a group of assassins that included the successors and some other elite members of Chaos's army. Over the millennia, Maritae and her husband had many kids, some who fell in battles/wars and others who are still in the army. They have seen way too many wars. As well as losing some of their kids to wars, they lost Kallias, Lykrougus, Athanasius, Kallistrate, Sappho, Corinna, and Zenais. It hit them hard, seeing as they trained with them as kids.

In 1929, Hecate warned Chaos, Poseidon, Artemis, _____, Apollo, _____, Athena, _____, Hera, Hestia, _____, and Maritae that Zeus was catching on to Maritae's heritage, which confused Maritae because she never knew Amphitrite wasn't her real mother. They told her and she was understandably upset for a time, but quickly gathered herself. Hecate turned both her and _____ into demigod children, erased their memories, and sent them off to mortal families. The mist was messed with in order to make the families believe that they were their babies. Maritae was placed with a Cuban family, whose names were Idania and Elian Torres under the name of Marina Novia Torres.

When Elian held Maritae for the first time, he knew she wasn't his by her sea green eyes. He went on a rampage and tried to kill Idania, but Poseidon intervened and nearly killed the man. Luckily, Ananke was able to erase the guy's memories of Poseidon, but wasn't able to about Maritae not being his. Whenever Idania left the house and left Maritae in his care, he refused to feed her and would often beat her. He found she healed in water, so he was able to hide it well. Her step-sister, Emma, was born when she was only a year old and was the light of her father's eyes. This left Maritae a little jealous of her, but she loved her "sister" nonetheless.

As she was testing for Kindergarten, they diagnosed her with dyslexia and ADHD. This started the verbal abuse from her "father." Despite the rough times with him, when he was gone, her mother would always talk her down. Tell her to kill him with kindness. Not give him the satisfaction of seeing her cry. Be as sarcastic and witty as possible and just keep on keeping on. Luckily for her, her heritage as a daughter of Poseidon allowed her to be laid-back, relaxed, and unpredictable. She only had one friend in school. His name was Ackley and he was a disabled kid.

At 7 years old, her "mother" pulled her aside and gave her a necklace. When she pulled something on the necklace, it somehow extended into a 3-foot sword that she would have to grow into. She was also told her parentage and that she had been fighting monsters since she was born to keep the family safe. This made her feel guilty. Idania eventually put her up for adoption, and she was adopted by a nice old couple in Woodbridge, New Jersey who lost their kid when she was only 12 years old. She felt betrayed by her mother, but the old couple treated her nicely. They loved her. They would hug her in public. They told her they loved her. The only time they raised a hand was to brush her hair or something of the sort. It was nice.

But, one night when she was 8, a cyclops ventured into their backyard and killed the old couple while they were gardening. She quickly killed the cyclops, grabbed a few things, and ran away. She didn't know where she was going, but she found herself on a beach. On the beach was a man in his early to mid-thirties, wearing a Tommy Bahama shirt, Bermuda shorts, and sandals. He turned around and it startled her. He had unruly black hair, sea green eyes, tan skin, and next to his eyes were laugh lines, showing he loved to smile and laugh. She instantly felt safe and broke down to her knees, crying. The man came over and introduced himself as her father. She unloaded questions on him about why he wasn't there, but he reminded her of what Idania told her about Greek mythology.

They sat on the beach for what seemed like hours before she heard a familiar voice. When she turned around, Ackley was hobbling towards her. He grabbed her hand and, before she could protest, started running up the beach. But then, they were met with a harpy. She fought the harpy, but soon passed out from exhaustion. She woke up in an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar people around her except for Ackley, who now had goat legs. It took a second for things to click into place as they explained what was going on. She felt like she already knew this stuff, however. When asked if she had a weapon, she activated her sword, appropriately named Hurricane, and everybody gawked at it. They talked about some kind of legend and Maritae started to get a headache. So, they left her alone.

She quickly became friends with two boys named _____ _____ (son of Apollo) and Andrew Reed (son of Athena), as well as two girls named Minnie McFarland (daughter of Hermes) and Peggy Johnson (daughter of Dionysus). A year later, which brings us to 1938, Hades declared war with Zeus, the other gods and goddesses taking sides. Thankfully, the quintet's parents were on the same side so they didn't have to fight their closest friends. It was the longest 7 years of their lives. _____ and Maritae dated, then got married at age 16, even though they felt like they had done it all before. They lost friend after friend after friend and couldn't do a thing about it. It drew to a close when the final battle began. They were facing the leader of Hades's army, Hades's son, Hitler.

She then watched her friends die in front of her. Andrew fell after being burned to death. Minnie died due to internal injuries after getting slammed into a tree. Peggy was stabbed in the gut. This angered _____ and Maritae. They fought with renewed vigor. Finally, it was just Hades and he challenged Maritae. Maritae spat at his feet and told him to bring it on. The fight didn't last long. Maritae got her unruly, curly black hair and sea green eyes from her father. She has some traits from her mother, but they're hidden heavily by the mist. It would take a long time for anyone to discover anything unless she willingly showed you. She has Jersey tanned skin and she's tall, standing at 5'9. She's only about 125 lbs, so she's pretty light. She likes to wear vintage clothing, but she wears jeans instead of skirts and dresses. She always thanks Chaos for the turn of the 19th century, when women took up their independence and started wearing pants. She wears tennis shoes, as well, unless she has a peace meeting. When she does, she has to wear special armor she received from chaos and a crown she hates to wear, as well as black flats. At least they didn't make her wear high heels anymore!
