Leader;; The leader is charged with the responsibility to watch over and manage the entire clan, maintaining discipline, order, and protection. They receive the suffix 'star' once they've received their nine lives from Starclan when they visit the Bird's Stone [where the leader and the teller can meet with Starclan].

Deputy;; The deputy is the second-in-command to the leader. They are in charge of organizing patrols, and they are often called on by the leader for advice, but other than that, they retain the normal duties of a warrior. To become a deputy, a cat must have trained at least one apprentice. They'll take over the clan when the leader dies.

Plague Healer;; The plague healer is a cat who specializes in dealing with diseases or general illnesses. They have a lot of knowledge about what each illness is, and what herbs best eases the symptoms. Plague healers are forbidden from having mates or kits, as it's believed that they'll interfere with their work.

Plague Healer's Apprentice;; The apprentice to the plague healer. They'll become the full plague healer once the current one dies, retires, or is exiled.

Wound Healer;; The wound healer is a cat who specializes in tending to physical injuries received, such as broken bones or scrapes. They have a lot of knowledge about which herbs help with specific kinds of wounds. Wound healers are forbidden from having mates or kits, as it's believed that they'll interfere with their work.

Wound Healer's Apprentice;; The apprentice to the wound healer. They'll become the full wound healer once the current one dies, retires, or is exiled.

Nurse;; The nurse are cats who help deliver kits and make sure that they're born healthy. Outside of typical kitting treatments, they have basic knowledge in treating minor illness or minor injuries for treating kits for things like small injuries sustained during play or a minor stomachache. However, if things are more major, kits will be taken to the wound or plague healers. Like the healers, nurses are forbidden from having mates or kits of their own.

Nurse's Apprentice;; The apprentice to the nurse. They'll become the full wound healer once the current one dies, retires, or is exiled.

Teller;; The teller is a cat who has a powerful connection with Starclan, and can communicate with them once every moon at Birdie's Stone. Unlike healers and the nurse, they are allowed to have mates and kits if they choose to do so.

Teller's Apprentice;; The apprentice to the teller. They'll become the full teller once the current one dies, retires, or is exiled.

Warriors;; Warriors are cats who have been trained in the arts of fighting and hunting. Warriors make up the bulk of a Clan, and provide that Clan with the protection and food supply that keeps it safe and well-fed. Typically, a cat is made a warrior at or over the age of twelve moons, unless their mentor decides otherwise (due to an injury or disciplinary reasons).

Apprentices;; Apprentices are cats who are training to become warriors. They receive the suffix 'paw'. Kits become apprentices at the age of six moons.

Queens;; Queens are she-cats who are either expecting or nursing kits. Once their kits have become apprentices, they will immediately return to their warrior duties.

Kits;; Kits are young cats, between the ages of 0 to 6 moons. They aren't allowed to leave camp at any time.

Elders;; Elders are cats who have retired from their former positions, usually due to old age or an injury that has prevented them from fulfilling their duties. They often times have grand stories to tell anyone who would like to hear.

Leader;; Just like Birdclan's leader, the Dogclan leader is charged with the responsibility to watch over and manage the entire clan, maintaining discipline, order, and protection. Whatever they say is law. However, they do not receive nine lives.

Heir/ess;; The heir or heiress is the offspring of the leader. It is decided when the leader's first litter is two moons, and the strongest kit of the litter is chosen to be the future leader, regardless of the kit's gender. They will train under their parent until the day their parent dies, retires, or is overthrown.

Second-in-Command;; The second-in-command, similar to the deputy, is in charge of organizing patrols. They are typically a long-time, trusted friend of the current leader. If the current leader dies, the next leader can choose whether to keep the current second-in-command or to replace them. The second-in-command will only become the leader if somehow, both the current leader and the heir/ess die.

Medic;; The medic takes over every single healing-based role in the clan, unlike in Birdclan where the healers specialize. Medics take care of all illnesses and injuries, and help mothers give birth. Also unlike the Birdclan healers, Dogclan healers are allowed to take a mate and have kits if they choose to do so.

Medic's Trainee;; The apprentice to the teller. They'll become the full medic once the current one dies, retires, or is exiled.

Followers;; Followers have the same role as Birdclan warriors. Exiles;; Exiles are cats who have broken the warrior code in a severe fashion (such as threatening, severely injuring, or killing a clanmate) and have been exiled from Birdclan.

Lone Rogues;; Rogues are cats who live by themselves in small pieces of their own territory, and tend to be quite hostile toward others. Cats who are exiled from Dogclan are considered lone rogues instead of exiles.

Loners;; Loners are cats who have no territories of their own, and usually wander, often switching their dens from different places. They tend to be much friendlier than exiles and rogues, some even are willing to help other cats if they're in need.

Personality Traits ||
Skuastar is calm and dignified, handling urgent situations with soothing grace. This natural ability to put a crowd at ease makes him quite charismatic, and it certainly helps that he seems to never stop working, making him seem like a productive leader. However, he's arrogant, and ever since he was named the next deputy, he very rarely has humble moments. He is also brutally honest and highly critical of the cats around him. Finally, to those who are more observant, he can come off as suspicious, as he tends to keep secrets from others.

Background ||
Skuastar was born and raised in Birdclan. He lived a normal kithood, and a normal apprenticeship. A few days after he was given his warrior name, he was on a patrol with his father and a few other cats. The patrol was attacked by two foxes. Skuatalon was sent to seek help, but when he returned, he found that his father had been killed. This was a devastating moment for the young tom, who had been close with his father, but nonetheless, he worked hard. His mother died not long after his father passed due to greencough. Several moons after losing his parents, the deputy, Toucancry, retired, as he was losing his vision. The leader at the time, Dovestar, declared Skuatalon the new deputy.
During his time as deputy, he became mates with his longtime friend, Cardinalblaze, but many noticed that they never were an affectionate couple. Dovestar eventually passed due to old age, and he received his nine lives. On his return to camp after receiving his nine lives, he was attacked by a cat who had hated him for quite some time, which is how he received the long scar down his left side. He fended the cat off and chased him away. Cardinalblaze, a moon into Skuastar's leadership, decided that they should break off their mateship. They split up amicably, but nowadays, they act rather cold toward each other, except when the kits are around.

Personality Traits ||
Cardinalblaze is a tough she-cat, with a stubborn attitude and a sharp wit to make her an intimidating she-cat. She tends to be rather argumentative, enjoying getting into debates with other cats over various topics, and will defend her beliefs until the day she dies. She is confident in herself and her abilities, as well as incredibly brave no matter the situation. However, many have noted that her moods tend to switch very rapidly, and that she has a bad habit of holding grudges for a ridiculous amount of time.

Background ||
Cardinalblaze was the only kit born in the litter, and thus, was quite spoiled as a kit. She was always rather sassy, often talking back to her mentor as an apprentice. This fiery attitude of hers is what earned her the suffix 'blaze'. As a young warrior, she befriended the charming Skuatalon, and later on, become mates with him. However, as time passed on, the two of them sort of fell out of love. She could tell her mate was too scared to mention it, but she, when she was expecting his kits, decided to step forward and be brutally honest with him. It was a mutual split-up, and they've tried to stay friendly, but things between them are very awkward, and they usually avoid each other. She ended up having three kits, whom she named Kitekit, Starlingkit, and Falconkit. Whenever Skuastar visits the kits, the two parents put up a fake face of happiness around each other, for the sake of the kits, but there's nothing happy about the way they are now.

Personality Traits ||
Nightingalesong is a skilled actress, easily fitting herself into social situations and striking up conversations with others without hesitation. She has an eloquent way of speaking, and with her ability to focus down on things and make very keen observations, there's a little bit of surprise that she wasn't named deputy. Little do many cats know that she hides a lot of negativity within her. She is deceptive and flirtatious, manipulating those around her for her own gain. She is hungry for power, and will do just about anything to gain higher footing in the clan. In fact, perhaps she's scheming something right now.

Background ||
Nightingalesong's mother died during kitting, and nobody knew who her father was. Straight off the bat, since no clan tom stepped forward, everyone collectively assumed that her father was probably an outsider. As a kit and an apprentice, Nightingalesong was bullied pretty heavily for this assumption. She was embittered by the experience at first, and had actually started to believe she was lesser than everyone else like she was being told. That is, until she was a young warrior. That was when she decided to take her situation in stride, coming out of her shell and flaunting great confidence. She seems like she has forgiven and forgotten these moons of relentless bullying, but really, she still has a great amount of resentment toward a number of her clanmates. Everything they've done and said to her has basically just festered within her. Especially toward the current leader, Skuastar, who was her worst bully at the time. He still seems to hold some biases against her to this day, but she most certainly won't let him do this without a fight.

Personality Traits ||
Petrelfall has always been notably quiet compared to his more confident brother. It's easy to forget this tom, and he likes for it to remain that way. He's polite to those around him, but at the same time, he seems to keep his distance from others, even with his own brother. This stems from his struggles with trust. He's always had a hard time trusting others, and he's always been a bit on the paranoid side when it came to betrayal. Because of this, he has a little bit of a cynical attitude. He's impressively stoic, rarely showing emotion, even when he's in pain. Some cats describe him as being rather mysterious.

Background ||
Petrelfall and his brother, Skuastar, were born and raised within Birdclan. He, like his brother, lived a normal kithood, and a normal apprenticeship. A few days after he was given his warrior name, his brother and his father were sent out on a patrol. The patrol was attacked by two foxes, and Skuatalon was sent to seek help, but when he returned to the scene, he found that his father had been killed. He watched as the experience changed his brother, as he worked hard and rose to deputy, to leader. Being the quieter of the two brothers, he has never been the subject of any attention, good or bad. He's perfectly happy leading a more average life, but of course, anything can change.

Personality Traits ||
Thistle is cunning as well as adaptable, skilled at improvising plans at last minute if needed. He is also fiercely loyal to Dogclan and its cats, and he genuinely wishes to give the cats of his clan a better life. He's persuasive, able to twist words to put himself in the right light. He's also patient, willing to wait a long time for success to come his way. All of this said, he's a vicious tom, narrow-minded tom. He prefers to handle things through carefully planned violence, and he's quite vengeful and obsessive. Beware Thistle, he's about as trustworthy as a snake.

Background ||
Thistle was born within Dogclan, to the blind Dogclan leader Cloudy and his former loner mate, Oceana. Thistle was declared the official heir at two moons of age. He was trained by his father to be the next leader. Cloudy died of disease when Thistle was twenty-two moons, leading for him to step forward and take the position as leader. After Cloudy's death, Oceana and Thistle's two sisters, Aster and Ivy, left Dogclan, feeling no connection with the clan. Not long after becoming leader, he met a Birdclan exile, Jaywhisper, and almost immediately fell in love with her. They eventually became mates and had two kits, [namehere] and Juniper. [Namehere] was declared the heir/ess of Dogclan, and Thistle has been proudly training him/her/them since. Just three moons ago, though, Jaywhisper was killed by a Birdclan patrol during a scuffle over borders. He holds a grudge against the bigger clan, and has been thinking about some sort of revenge.
Thistle has a huge fear of the ocean, after he fell off the cliffs during a patrol when he was trying to climb down to the bottom when he was about eleven moons old. He didn't fall too far, but he received a nasty wound underneath his chin and lost a tooth, and then was dragged into the ocean by a wave. A cat who was on the patrol rescued him, but the experience was both humiliating and traumatizing. He still refuses to go near the cliffs to this day.
