basic plot . okay so this roleplay follows a sled dog team who while out on a run loses their owner in the middle of a blizzard due to one of the lead dogs panicking when they felt a cliff edge. now they're stuck fifty miles from their home with no food. they're left with the decision to either try and make it home or survive in the wilderness but either way they must travel through the forest which is filled with predators they've never encountered.

relationships. please include a small relationship post with your form c: and i encourage you to have developed relationships with other characters - remember these dogs have grown up together and lived with each other for years now

breeds. please be aware this is a sled dog roleplay and appropriate breeds must be used! you can find a list of those breeds here

ranks/positiong. the positions the dogs have have no meaning as to what ranks they may end up holding, i.e. the 'lead dogs' may not necessairly end up being the leaders. we'll be starting from the very beginning and the dogs will naturally form their own 'rankings' within

bear is a rather large malamute weighing in at a hefty one hundred and thirteen
pounds; his body is stocked full of muscle from years of intense training to be the best he
possibly could. he stands at the average height of his breed at 26 inches at the shoulder.
his fur is thicker than most others making him well suited for colder temperatures that he
works in. his fur is mostly greys along his back with a black patch on his lower back and wi
th a typical white underbelly. his eyes are a deep brown that make him appear inviting.

hand the others tendency to be as bold as he is leads
to rather amusing encounters but on the other hand h
e can annoy bear on the wrong day. overall he does li

overall bear likes artemis, she's good for situations
where others may not maintain their calmness and h
e appreciates the charm that the female has. howev
er she's a bit too obedient for him as he believes she'
s likely to follow orders and other blindly.

f trips together but because he enjoys her kind and

he's just a bit too much and is off put by her need to

this siberian husky is an extremely loyal dog. steel is a free
spirit who wants to live life to the fullest. he's very friendly
towards others on the team and can be the life of the party
when surrounded by a group. steel is bold and vibrant,
he lets his thoughts be known.. whether they're
wanted to be heard or not. being so outspoken,
he tends to annoy others since he doesn't know how
to shut his trap, and god forbid anyone tells him a secret.
even though he loves to joke around, he knows how to be serious
and steel will never allow his friends to be bullied.
he's protective of things, and also thrives on being social.
he also likes to flirt with the females, and can be quite
charming. but if he were to find a mate, he wouldn't dare
to flirt with anyone but her.

zero is the reason they ended up here stuck. his one moment of pure
panic cost the life of his human and potentially the life of his team.
despite this, he has never let his team down before and knows how
to take care of them. he is strict, but kind-hearted, and puts all his
efforts into his work for the team. he got them in this mess, and he
will do absolutely anything he can to get them out of it. he has to.

artemis is a 4 year old female kugsha dog and has the position of swing dog. she currently has no love interest and no pups. she has a lean,
quick yet sturdy build. artemis has a thick grey, tan and white fur that can withstand most cold temperatures. she excels at endurance and tracking.

artemis is cool and level-headed, even in stressful situations. she is cunning and charismatic, using her words to get around people,not only that,
she is very obedient and when following a leader, she will listen to all orders without much dispute, though she will speak out if needed.

zero
artemis believes zero is a decent lead dog and will
follow his orders above all else until someone else steps
up. she doesn't think it was really his fault, as she imagined
any other dog might've panicked if they were at the
edge of a cliff. though, it was a bad move nonetheless and
wishes he would've taken the situation better.

vintage
the two are very close friends and almost have a
sisterly type bond, able to talk to one another about their problems
and be open with them. artemis really values/envy's her kind, gentle
nature and occasionally wishes she could have some of the same attributes.
she does think she can be a bit naive and gullible, fearing that she may
get herself hurt, physically or emotionally.

jenkin
artemis has worked alongside jenkin for awhile, considering
they're both swing dogs. despite this, she hasn't really talked
with him too much and finds that he's quite quiet and reserved.
though, he's a dedicated, hard worker and she can respect that.

bear
artemis thinks of bear as a good friend or acquaintance, a gentle
giant as some may say. he has a nice air around him and
if anything happens, he would probably take control
quickly, which she likes in a dog. though, she's not too
keen on his flirty attitude and can find it genuinely
annoying at times.

steel
artemis views him as funny and vibrant, able to lighten the mood
in even terrible situations like this. she finds he can be kind of "yappy"
and doesn't know when to stop talking. with his flirty, social attitude
it's sometimes like dealing with a puppy.

willow
artemis doesn't really mind willow all that much and would
probably see her as a good leader. she's quick-witted and caring,
though, she finds she can be rude and temperamental and
would rather not have to deal with it.

jenkin is sometimes said to have an odd personality. as
an first impression, he may not be a very talkative dog
and does not have the will to hold a conversation with
anyone. he shares the personality of a lone wolf, never
wanting to chat and socialize── many deeming him to
be antisocial. when around people, jenkin does not sho
w any affection and doesn't do what a normal dog woul
d do when petted or talked to. moreover, he much pref
erably would like to be alone and to himself. despite b
eing withdrawn from others, he is a hard worker and wi
ll always get the job done whenever needed.

jenkin does not have a lot of relationships, not a lot of ones where he's
not considered a recluse. he had relationships in the past, some good, s
ome bad, but ever since he had been added to this team, his relationshi
ps has slowly drifted away to being nonexistent. let's say for example hi
s siblings, nanuq and juno. since he had moved away to be on this team,
he never once saw them again, not knowing if they were still present wh
ere he had once been. its no doubt that they had probably forgotten abo
ut him, going on to live their own life as if he had never even existed. je
nkin had several friendships growing up, but they all broke apart due to
his unsociable behavior. one good friend that stood by his side was adele,
who had left him due to her owner moving away. jenkin also had enemies
, many. one of his rivals was jackson, someone he's glad to never see agai
n because of how much he had enraged him in the past; one reason why h
e hated him was because he liked adele, and often interrupted him when
he's hanging out with her. sure, call him jealous, but who wouldn't be whe
n their friend is ditching them for some one they absolutely despise.

ing yet a bad one. he did think that zero was a excellen
t leader and excelled in being a lead dog, but since that
one moment of terror that costed the life of the team l
eader, he has been feeling a bit angered at him. yes, je
nkin never really cared for the team leader, but it is kin
d of his fault for them being stuck in the first place.

his father's name was also named jenkin, making him the second, jenkin ii. mel,
was his mother's name. he has two other siblings, nanuq and juno, whom he has
never seen since he had departed from his family to be a sled dog.
• jenkin is a surname that originated in cornwall, but came to be popular in sou
thern wales. the 'kin' part is of dutch origin, which gained popularity in england.
• jenkin had previously been a wheel dog on another team, his heavy built provi
ng that he would be on the back. though, on this team, he is just as good as a s
wing dog or as the team leader decided.
• jenkin never had an owner before, never becoming attached enough to anyone
to call them his owner. he would occasionally switch to other teams and sometim
es reappear, but ever since he had been relocated to this team, he hadn't been t
ransfered elsewhere. despite being here for a while, he never had a bond with th
e team's owner and wasn't very affected by their death.
• jenkin always seems to be a stony male with no feelings, as said by others. ther
e was one time when he cared deeply about someone. he had a friend once, and
her name was adele. adele was a siberian husky and was also a sled dog, she had
an owner that she would forever be with, unlike him. they sometimes raced alon
gside each other, but this never tore their friendship apart, even if any one of th
em will lose while the other wins. jenkin departed from adele when she leaved w
ith her owner outside of alaska, he never saw her again, but they did have a war
m goodbye. even that wasn't enough to cheer him up, he'd became more quiet  
ter her moving away.

e's glad to not have to see his face again.

jenkin thinks artemis is good at her job as well, consider
ing them both being swing dogs. he thinks that she is ver

s mentally strong and can make it through those situation
s, including the death of their team leader. in a way, he a
dmires her for being this way.

jenkin thinks that vintage, or vinnie, is just as comforting
as artemis, maybe even a bit more. she is polite, kind and
soulful, how'd he imagined every older soul to be ─ wise.
he doesn't talk to her much, nonetheless, he really enjoys
having her on the time, even though he doesn't express his
gratitude.

willow ─ ♢♦♡
even if he probably won't admit it, jenkin feels a sort of at
traction towards willow. call it a crush, he'd just call it 'fee
lings' or whatever nonsense he'd say when he does not wan
t to admit its a crush. lets just say that willow reminds him
of a certain someone in his past, that certain someone bein
g adele. willow resembles adele in many ways: they're both
siberian huskies and they both have similar personality trait
s. jenkin doesn't think that willow really has anything for hi
m, and it kind of makes him sad to think about it.
