Leader;; The leader is charged with the responsibility to watch over and manage the entire clan, maintaining discipline, order, and protection. They receive the suffix 'star' once they've received their nine lives from Starclan when they visit the Bird's Stone [where the leader and the teller can meet with Starclan].

Deputy;; The deputy is the second-in-command to the leader. They are in charge of organizing patrols, and they are often called on by the leader for advice, but other than that, they retain the normal duties of a warrior. To become a deputy, a cat must have trained at least one apprentice. They'll take over the clan when the leader dies.

Plague Healer;; The plague healer is a cat who specializes in dealing with diseases or general illnesses. They have a lot of knowledge about what each illness is, and what herbs best eases the symptoms. Plague healers are forbidden from having mates or kits, as it's believed that they'll interfere with their work.

Plague Healer's Apprentice;; The apprentice to the plague healer. They'll become the full plague healer once the current one dies, retires, or is exiled.

Wound Healer;; The wound healer is a cat who specializes in tending to physical injuries received, such as broken bones or scrapes. They have a lot of knowledge about which herbs help with specific kinds of wounds. Wound healers are forbidden from having mates or kits, as it's believed that they'll interfere with their work.

Wound Healer's Apprentice;; The apprentice to the wound healer. They'll become the full wound healer once the current one dies, retires, or is exiled.

Teller;; The teller is a cat who has a powerful connection with Starclan, and can communicate with them once every moon at the Bird's Stone. They're also the ones who help queens deliver kits. Unlike healers, they are allowed to have mates and kits if they choose to do so.

Teller's Apprentice;; The apprentice to the teller. They'll become the full teller once the current one dies, retires, or is exiled.

Warriors;; Warriors are cats who have been trained in the arts of fighting and hunting. Warriors make up the bulk of a Clan, and provide that Clan with the protection and food supply that keeps it safe and well-fed. Typically, a cat is made a warrior at or over the age of twelve moons.

Apprentices;; Apprentices are cats who are training to become warriors. They receive the suffix 'paw'. Kits become apprentices at the age of six moons.

Queens;; Queens are she-cats who are either expecting or nursing kits. Once their kits have become apprentices, they will immediately return to their warrior duties.

Kits;; Kits are young cats, between the ages of 0 to 6 moons. They aren't allowed to leave camp at any time.

Elders;; Elders are cats who have retired from their former positions, usually due to old age or an injury that has prevented them from fulfilling their duties. They often times have grand stories to tell anyone who would like to hear.

Exiles;; Exiles are cats who have broken the warrior code in a severe fashion (such as threatening, severely injuring, or killing a clanmate) and have been exiled from the clan.

Rogues;; Rogues are cats who live by themselves in small pieces of their own territory, and tend to be quite hostile toward others.

Loners;; Loners are cats who have no territories of their own, and usually wander, often switching their dens from different places. They tend to be much friendlier than exiles and rogues.

Background || Skuastar was born and raised in Birdclan. He lived a normal kithood, and a normal apprenticeship. A few days after he was given his warrior name, he was on a patrol with his father and a few other cats. The patrol was attacked by two foxes. Skuatalon was sent to seek help, but when he returned, he found that his father had been killed. This was a devastating moment for the young tom, who had been close with his father, but nonetheless, he worked hard. His mother died not long after his father passed due to greencough. Several moons after losing his parents, the deputy, Toucancry, retired, as he was losing his vision. The leader of the time, Dovestar, declared Skuatalon the new deputy.

During his time as deputy, he became mates with his longtime friend, Cardinalblaze, but never were an affectionate couple. Dovestar eventually passed due to old age, and he received his nine lives. On his return to camp after receiving his nine lives, he was attacked by a cat who had hated him for quite some time, which is how he received the long scar down his left side. He fended the cat off and chased him away. Cardinalblaze, a moon into Skuastar's leadership, decided that they should split up as mates. They split up amicably, but nowadays, they act rather cold toward each other, except when the kits are around.

Background || As a newborn kit, Canaryheart was found just on the edge of Birdclan's border. When a dawn patrol discovered him tucked in a safe place, but alone, they hurriedly took him into camp. There, he was adopted by a queen, and raised within Birdclan. Other than not being born within this clan, he has lead a fairly normal life.

Background || Cardinalblaze was the only kit born in the litter, and thus, was quite spoiled as a kit. She was always rather sassy, often talking back to her mentor as an apprentice. This fiery attitude of hers is what earned her the suffix 'blaze'. As a young warrior, she befriended the charming Skuatalon, and later on, become mates with him. However, as time passed on, the two of them sort of fell out of love. She could tell her mate was too scared to mention it, but she, when she was expecting his kits, decided to step forward and be brutally honest with him. It was a mutual split-up, and they've tried to stay friendly, but things between them are very awkward, and they usually avoid each other.

She had three kits; Kitekit, Starlingkit, and Larkkit.

Background || Lily has always been a loner, ever since she was born. She lived most of her life alone. At one point, she had a mate named Leopold, and they were about to have a litter of kits, but Leopold fell ill during her pregnancy. By the time she gave birth, he was very sick, so Lily decided that it would be best for the kits if they were raised by another cat. So, she left the litter at Birdclan's border, and has assumed that one of the patrols had taken them away to be raised in their camp. She hopes to perhaps one day meet her kits, but she doubts (and has accepted) that she'll ever get the chance.

Personality • Starlingkit is inquisitive and energetic,
like most kits her age. Unlike most kits, however, she has a unique patience and intuition. She tends to notice things that are often overlooked, a trait that will make her a great tracker one day. Starlingkit's favorite thing to do is hear about the adventures the grown cats have each day, particularly from her father Skuastar, who she looks up to as her main role model. One might think from her closeness to her father that she might aspire to become leader and follow in his pawsteps, but Starlingkit likes to picture herself simply as a brave warrior.

Appearance • Starlingkit has a medium-length coat resembling that of her mother's in pattern, with a paler color that's more like her father's. Her eyes are the same soft amber as Cardinalblaze's. She has a long, plumy tail and long whiskers and ears, with a small but sturdy build.

Personality • Ospreycloud is an outgoing and compassionate tom. You can often find him helping out struggling apprentices, assisting the healers in gathering herbs, or volunteering to replace bedding. His mother Ravenflower, now passed, was just as helpful to her Clanmates, and Ospreycloud adopted her kind nature. He's completely dedicated to his Clan and its prosperity. He strives to one day become leader of the Clan, and is working hard toward that goal to outshine as a warrior and mentor.

History • Ospreycloud was born in BirdClan to a warrior named Ravenflower, and a loner father, whose identity Ravenflower never disclosed. He had a brother who died just days after birth. Most cats assumed this was Ravenflower's punishment for taking a mate outside the Clan, but Ospreycloud sees it as a mere tragedy that the kind she-cat couldn't truly deserve. Other cats distrusted the tom at first, thinking nothing good could come from such a transgression, but he proved himself as a diligent apprentice and later a faithful warrior.

Appearance • Ospreycloud has a tall, but well-muscled build. He has mostly short, sleek fur, with a rather bushy tail. Most of his pelt color is a warm ginger tabby, with large portions of white that cover his legs, all around his neck and nearly half his face. He has a bright raspberry-pink nose and dull hazel eyes.
