Personality
Kai is a kind and gentle soul, which is reflective of an Oracle. As a healer, his touch is gentle and not meant to cause pain and his words are soft-spoken and more often than not kind and relaxing. Even when he is ordering someone to be still, his voice is more firm but still soft, portraying the stubbornness that lays underneath his exterior. As a healer, he has to be stubborn after all; some patients don't exactly take well to him poking and prodding and, in some cases, causing more pain to fix the current pain such as with out-of-socket shoulders and broken noses and the like. He's not a fan of violence and will prefer to raise his voice than raise his fist and being an Oracle, most merfolk listen to him without the need of raising a fist thankfully. He won't hesitate to knock out someone if needed though but that is the most violence one will ever witness from Kai though he can still be quite scary despite that for some.

Many people have also described him as being wise beyond his years as well. Much of the advice he offers is very deep and makes a lot of merfolk think. Some merfolk come to him for advice on all sorts of things, from their love life to their career choices. He enjoys giving them the advice they seek and loves sharing the wisdom that his mind forms automatically. He's always been a deep thinker and because of it, he was never really fit for a battlefield or leadership position to begin with. Some people have to ask him and return the next day so that his thoughts are gathered on what he'd like to tell them.

However, the one thing with Kai is the fact that despite the warnings from tribes and sects everywhere and his own parents as a child, he has always been curious about the humans many merfolk condemn. Not by any means does this mean he'll trust them right away but he is willing to give them a chance albeit he'll be quite shy. He readily approaches most merfolk but the humans he can be quite shy around because he doesn't know how they'll react to him as he knows that to them, his people are nothing but myth and legend. Not just that though, but his Queen would likely condemn him for such an act. He can't help but be curious though as there has been many a human whom he has felt is quite different from the stories told of them as he does often secretly watch humans aboard their water vessels from the water.

Personality
Unlike her brother, Sybil has more of a reserved nature. She feels Kai has always been the troublemaker, which isn't untrue as when he was a child, he'd often take his little sister on explorations with him. As she grew older, she grew away from that and began to listen and respect her parents and tribe laws more readily, which her brother frowns at but doesn't condemn either. When her brother was accepted as the Oracle of one of the nearby sects, she decided to move from their current sect with him and leave their parents behind, if only to make certain he doesn't get himself killed because of his trouble-making ways.

Now, despite this reserved nature, she isn't harsh or cruel. She won't utterly condemn the humans. If she sees one drowning, she will save them.... after they're unconscious, whether by the drowning or herself. However, she also won't hesitate to kill one if it's necessary. Her bravery with humans was the reason she decided to become a huntress as, unlike her brother, she isn't shy, she's just harsh towards them, as she fully expects them to be right back. She also isn't afraid to put others back in line if she spots them cavorting with a human if the Delta isn't around or going against tribal law. She is very much Delta-minded in that regard and has actually been considered for such a position before, unbeknownst to her.

As for merfolk in general, aside from being rule abiding, she's friendly and social. She loves to hang out with the other merfolk from her new tribe and isn't shy when trying to make friends. She's a lot more open-minded with merfolk than humans. Her brother is a bit more on the reserved social side rather than the idealistic side. Some have said that her and her brother couldn't be anymore different yet similar if they tried. They are like two sides of the same coin... though perhaps her thoughts and ideas about humans could be changed, if one is able to convince her of their word to not say anything about her before she kills them.

Appearance:
Quite well dressed for the most part, Marius is usually found wearing an elegant suit, either dark brown or black. He insists on remaining well-presented and takes the saying ‘Cleanliness is next to Godliness’ a little to the extreme, shown through his, constantly, impeccable presentation of himself.
He doesn’t have the most athletic build, but he is quite healthy and in good enough shape to sail the high seas. Marius has quite dark skin and eyes to match, and close-cropped black hair.

Personality:
Extremely intelligent and well-presented in all types of medical procedures, Marius is one of the best doctors you can ask for. In addition to this, he takes the Hippocratic Oath very seriously, abiding by every word to the letter. He will always make sure he does everything in his power to help those in need, believing everything life is valuable and can be saved. It is this passionate attitude that drives him and what makes him good at his job. As such, Thatcher has only ever lost a patient once, which is a failure that forever plagues him.
However, despite his seemingly optimistic values, Marius is a realist at heart, knowing from personal experiences that too much hope can be crippling if destroyed. He always keeps a level head, knowing how to remain calm, even in the most stressful of situations.
Marius’s pacifist attitude also means is very unlikely to take up arms and fight, though he may act in self-defence, if he cannot talk his way out the situation.
