Heya!
I'm Foxx, host of A Tail Of Fire And Ice, the warrior cats roleplay
featuring Flameclan and Iceclan. This is our discussion thread
where you can chat, post forms, and discuss anything related to
this roleplay.

I'd love to begin the RP tomorrow, though realistically with the amount of reserved characters I don't know if this is possible. Nonetheless, I don't want to rush anyone on forms so I'm willing to wait for those who need time as it's the middle of the week and everyone is tied up with their responsibilities c:
We will not begin without the reserved characters as it's just not fair to start the story without them after they reserved their slots, so I'm willing to give them as much time as they need to finish up before the start of the RP ^^

If you'd like to make any last minute reservations or characters, this is your last minute to do so!
You can reserve slots and we'll wait for you to finish before starting, or you can post characters, though once all of our reserves are finished we'll be starting. New characters can of course be added after starting, but if you'd like to ensure that your character begins the RP with the rest of the clan, make sure to reserve or post now.

The current apprentices have been given their mentors! I did my best to give each pairing compatible personalities where they have similar traits to make them comfortable in their pairing, though also some contradictory traits so they can learn from one another c:

All forms are officially due by tomorrow for anyone who has NOT reserved characters!
If you are on the reserved and awaiting list on the front page, your reservation is good through saturday unless you message me with other arrangements c:

I don't want to begin without those who have reserved characters because this RP is going to be full of stuff and inclusive to all members. I'll be closing acceptance after friday as there will be too many plot things going on in the RP to continuously add characters.

Today is the last day to send in reservations and tomorrow is the last day for last minute characters! ^^

Today is the last day to create characters or send in reservations for A Tail of Fire and Ice!

Tomorrow we will no longer be accepting characters that don't already have their place reserved as we don't want people joining in the middle of the story and being completely confused and feeling left out.
Slots will open up over time though only limited ones so this is your last chance to take a place in one of the clans!

You may send a reservation for a character that is good through saturday, october 17th. All current reservations must be completely by october 17th as we are wanting to start as soon as possible though not without those of you who reserved slots as it's not fair to just push on without you.
Please have all forms complete by this saturday, october 17th, and if you're wanting to join but won't have your character up today, send me a reservation and you'll be clear to put your form up tomorrow.

Reminder

This is a semi-literate to literate roleplay. That means at least a detailed and description paragraph is required at all times! I also require all posts and forms to be neatly coded as it keeps everything looking tidy.
I'm not going to be able to have posts that are a couple sentences and I'd really like an effort put forth by all players as it's disappointing when some members type out such vivid detail and only get a few sentences in return from their partner, so please, keep this in mind as it's extremely important.
Writer's block is an excuse not to be abused!

Alrighty, regarding the gathering, timing, and all that!
I'm planning to have the gathering start after IceClan's medicine cats (Oakwhisker and Ashpaw) return from speaking to StarClan about IceClan's new leader as well as after the FlameClan's apprentice's assessment (for Crowpaw and Lavenderpaw).
So a couple cats were assigned to patrols in FlameClan and a couple in IceClan decided to go hunting independently, just make sure everyone is back after Oakwhisker and Ashpaw are back to announce the new IceClan leader so you guys can go to the gathering c:

I'll be making a gathering thread that'll also be a border thread and maybe it'd be a cool idea if a FlameClan and IceClan patrol ran into each other before the gathering or something. Just thought it might work since everyone is going out hunting and on patrol and looking for something to do ^^
That's up to you guys c:

Lemme know what you all think and I'll be linking the gathering/border thread as soon as it's finished.

Heatherstar considers herself an authority figure.
She is kind to those deserving of that gift though harsh to
those who don't. Part of her is a fierce and fiery she-cat
with a fire cracker of a personality and protective nature
while the other is a lot more soft and gentle. This divide
in traits come from her being a mother of course. Having
to deal with rowdy kits and cats who will harm them does
that to you. She is extremely loyal and loving though her
trust is hard to earn. She can be seen as a hardhead if you
don't know her and she isn't afraid to be blunt, though
once befriended she will love you to the ends of the earth.
Secretly, she is very hard on herself for her past and how
she treated her own kits. She has very motherly instincts
because of her previous misfortunes though the love for her
two sons has never died. Despite not growing up in a clan,
she devotes herself to the warrior code and her clanmates,
partly in an attempt to completely erase her history of
living out in the wild alone. She envies her sons for the life
she gave them in the clan and desperately wants them to
communicate, very sensitive over the fact that their
relationship has shattered.

Heatherstar has had an extremely harsh life
that had turned her into the cat she is today. She
was born a kitty pet though when her two-legs
couldn't provide for the accidental litter of kits she
was born into, they were abandoned. Heatherstar
managed to make it on her own after falling into a
rogue group and associating herself with the deadly
cats in it. She eventually grew to love one of them
and at a young age they ran off together, separating
themselves from the group.
Heatherstar then became a young mother, birthing
three kits to her mate. These three kits were Rock,
Jay, and Thistle and she loved them with all her heart,
though one day her mate posed a threat to her and
her new family. He threatened to kill all of her kits if
they didn't return to the rogue group they belonged in
and when Heatherstar refused, her mate killed Rock. In
a fit of rage, Heatherstar killed her mate though when
Jay and Thistle arrived at the scene, they feared
Heatherstar had killed her own kits and mate.
The trio was eventually found and taken in by clan cats,
though Jay, not Jaywind and Thistle, now Thistlefire,
never forgave their mother for the crimes she committed.

Jaywind is a free thinker and very passionate cat. He questions the warrior code constantly though is devoted to it all the same. Interested in his ancestors and why the warrior code was written the way it is, Jaywind is often quizzical and full of questions. He has a curious mind that works hard to theorize every possible outcome in a situation and he is one for over analyzing situations. Because of his over analysis of things, he is very sensitive and takes remarks to heart. He doesn't take criticism lightly and has prided himself on being polite after realizing this about himself. Because he is so easily heart by blunt and hardheaded cats, Jaywind is very soft and kind to others, prodding around situations delicately so not to hurt the feelings of others. He's very courteous of others and aims to please in every aspect.
Jaywind is also a very trustworthy cat. He is an excellent listeners and others are usually drawn to him. Because of his thoughtfulness, other cats seem to be able to open up around them and he enjoys helping them in any instance. He works hard to keep the trust between himself and whoever he may associate with and would never disclose information that is meant to stay between one party. He is also very loyal and devoted to those he grows to know, his friendships few but strong.
Though it may not seem like it, Jaywind isn't a cat that is quick to forgive. He instills his full trust in others and once broken, doesn't intend on mending it. He holds grudges and makes snap judgments depending on how he feels in a situation.

Jaywind was born to a loner, Heather. He and
his two siblings, Thistle and Rock, were raised their first
moon in the wild before Jaywind's father killed Rock and
in retaliation, Heather lashed out and killed him. Both
Jaywind and brother Thistle (now Thistlefire) believed
their mother had killed Rock as well, never forgiving her
for murdering their brother and father. Despite her
attempts to get her story straight, they refused to believe
it. The three were taken in by clan cats around Jaywind's
second moon and they were raised by the warrior code,
leaving their loner names behind and taking clan names.

Thistlefire is an extremely authoritative personality. He likes to have everything under his control and if he feels he doesn't have tight reins in a situation he will be quickly upset. The majority of his life, Thistlefire has felt like he always belonged to someone else. He had to live by the rules of the clan, listen to the words of the higher ranks, and because of this he strived to be more. Despite him wanting to have total control, he isn't a harsh leader when in charge. He is fair and just and everything you'd want in a cat who is at the head.
Thistlefire is a perfectionist and never satisfied with himself or others. His apprentices will have a tough time getting him to show visible approval though he means well. His harshness isn't without reason and he is never mean to spite a cat, only to improve them. If an apprentice is able to handle his criticism, they are lucky to have him as a mentor as he has much to teach them though sensitive cats should be forewarned.
Though he can be a hardhead, he is also a bold and devoted spirit, loving and protective towards his clan. He would put his life on the line for any cat in his clan and would never think of stepping a paw out of the warrior code, loyal to all it stands for. He is also quite a stubborn cat and doesn't do well taking commands himself, unless he fully supports whatever decisions are being made. He will always fight for what he believes is right in his mind, never taking no for an answer.

Tidesong is an extremely independent cat, fully capable of running a clan on her own if she wanted to. Because of her past, she has a very independent mind set and doesn't appreciate rules laid out or others telling her what to do, though she is respectful because she understands being in an authoritative position. She has a vast knowledge of leadership and is a just cat, loving each and every one of her clanmates and makes every decision in their best interest.
Tidesong doesn't enjoy beating around the bush and gets to her point bluntly, not holding back what's on her mind. Though she easily says what she's thinking, she isn't one to phrase things rudely so to hurt the feelings of another, she simply doesn't sugar coat her statements.
She is a fiery spirit with boundless energy and extreme elegance. Her favorite part of warrior life is battle training and if she does her best to prepare apprentices and other warriors for battle. She focuses on various fighting techniques that were developed in her home and brings a fresh style to the battle field, strengthening herself and her clanmates in fashions new to clan life.

Tidesong was born and raised in a mountain tribe,
eventually taking on the position of war chief in her tribe
at the age of 9 moons. When a landslide separated her
from her tribe, she found the clan and moved her life into
theirs. She longs for her tribe back, though thoroughly
enjoys clan life and the thought of trading it to return
home hardly crosses her mind.
