the saying 'curiosity killed the cat' really portrays ketsiah's wild personality. as a child she would always get into trouble because of her curiosity. her parents were always worried she'd take her harmless pranks and curiosity too far. ketsiah soon found a passion in medicine so she pursued a doctor's apprenticeship when she was sixteen years old. she seemed to have the perfect life until the unexpected happened. she came home to her mother in tears and her father with a horror-stricken facial expression. after a long heart-breaking talk she found out her mother was pregnant which is would get her mother floated. nine months later ketsiah welcomed her new brother to the world. his name was tobias, named after her father's great-grandfather. at first ketsiah feared her brother for he could be the reason her parents would be floated, however, tobias grew on ketsiah. the day ketsiah feared and dreaded most came only months after tobias was born. both her parents were floated and her baby brother was given to a family who couldn't conceive children. ketsiah was left alone and her anger boiled inside her because of the reason why her parents were floated. she wanted revenge. one late afternoon she found the guard who took her parents away to their death and stabbed him with a dagger she bought from what you could call the black market of the ark. she was confined for attempted murder until she was sent down to earth leaving her brother up in space on the ark.

bash was only fifteen when he met the love of his life whom lived with one of the higher up families while bash lived with his mother. his father divorced his mother shortly after he had been born leaving his mother and him all alone. bash met calico at a local dance hosted on the ark as an attempt for everyone to get to know each other. bash and cali became best friends and soon more than that. they soon fell hard for each other hard and everything seemed absolutely perfect. however, cali's family was highly against bash and cali's relationship for bash was a poor kid and cali came from a richer family. soon after cali turned seventeen she found out she was pregnant with bash's baby. since the ark was strictly against teenage pregnancies bash knew she would get killed along with the baby. he couldn't have that, so he tried to hide cali's pregnancy. however, cali's family turned her in hoping bash would get floated and cali would be pardoned due to her standing in society. that wasn't the factor, both cali and bash were imprisoned, but bash was a year younger than she was. cali had been floated a few months after the baby was born. bash had no idea what happened to their daughter, but all he knows is she is still alive on the ark. now he's on earth wondering how she's doing.

History: Iris grew up right down the hall from the Blakes. They knew each-other yet barely spoke to one another, though their mothers were friends. Her father died when she was just nine from an infection that he gained from cutting himself when working in the mechanics station. It was hard, especially because he had a severe gambling addiction. Though illegal, he got himself into rather a big deal of debt with his 'I'll pay you back later's. When he died, the responsibility of this was dropped onto her mother. A large guard often came to see them about it and, even when Iris went to the council members, nobody believed that this man would be breaking the law right under their noses. It went on for seven years before Iris finally snapped and killed the guard in the hallway outside of their room, right in front of her neighbours. She was due to be trialed a day after her birthday, the day after they were sent to the ground. She would have been floated if it had went through but, luckily, this happened first.
