Thatβs absolutely fine, take your time! As for the nuclear incident, I hadnβt actually pinned down a specific timeline (oops, haha!). Do you have a time period in mind that would work for your plot ideas or character backstory? Iβm happy to go with whatever fits best for you, and we can make it canon from there. :)

No worries at all, enjoy your trip! Thank you for putting together a post for Zariah despite being on the go (and honestly, no need to apologise for typos). I loved your post, by the way! Zariah already seems like such an intriguing character and the way you captured his indecisiveness was brilliant, It was really fun to read. Canβt wait to see what you do with Cy and Jas!
Queen of flames wrote:Sorry for not posting anything as I've had a little hard time figuring out what to write for my characters...
Thatβs totally okay, donβt stress about it! If you need help brainstorming or bouncing ideas around, just let me know. Iβd be happy to help you figure something out!
To Everyone:
Just a quick note, in case you didn't realise this before, Iβm super chilled about the plotβfeel free to come up with as many scenarios as you like, whether itβs drama, danger, romance, life, death, or anything in between, you don't need any permission! If youβve got an idea for something that might involve the whole group (or most of us), itβd be fab if you could drop it in the D&T thread so everyone knows whatβs going on and can join in or work around it. Hope that helps! π

hello!! sorry for not posting yet, mezzo and I just got back from our overseas trip yesterday and are still very jet-lagged/head empty no thoughts rn : ) plus settling back into work this week. we'll catch up on reading the current posts and try to start writing this weekend/next week. if anyone wants a tag from either of our characters, let us know!
also just to chime into the ongoing discussion, I personally disagree and propose that at least 30+ years (honestly, maybe even 50+) might make more sense? I'm not an expert on what chernobyl/etc. looks like rn haha but just basing off that as reference, we need generations of wolves to have passed for these mutations to have even developed. otherwise in only a short 1-2 year timeframe, most mutations would still be emerging inconsistently and probably wouldnβt be stable or functional yet, certainly not enough to be generational.
also, almost none of the characters (if any) have backstories that suggest a disaster happened 1-2 years ago. we'd have to go back and modify for having witnessed the event itself, the mass deaths and immediate radiation sickness that followed, that kind of thing. basically, more of the wolves would definitely have some more prominent, fresh trauma to contend with.
but these are just my two cents!

Hey, no stress! Itβs great to know youβre both still interested. Jet lag is the WORST I feel for you! When I went to Canada and Australia last year, my sleep schedule was a total disaster for weeks, omg. Hope you and Mezzo settle back in soon. By the way, where did you guys travel to?

Good shout, Fortissimo, that makes a lot of sense. If Saphiraβs cool with it, I think 30+ years (or even 50) could work well. How does everyone else feel about that?
In my head, Iβd imagined the mutations developing during a wolfβs lifetimeβlike dormant genes from generations in the fallout being triggered by exposure to toxic sources, or extreme emotions, life situations. Some mutations might even pop up during the RP, which could add a bit of drama. I know itβs not super scientific, but I reckon it still works with Fortissimoβs idea and keeps things fun.

I was waiting for other people.
All good, no rush at all! If youβre waiting for a spark, maybe one of your characters could stir things up a bit? Like, they accidentally hunt something with 'toxic secretions', and it makes others sick after they eat it. Could even cause some tension if anyone thinks it was deliberate. Just throwing it out there, but feel free to wait too, itβs totally up to you!.
