@daybreak - accepted! I think basilpaw & leafpaw would be besties lol especially since they have the trouble making aspect in common. also I feel as if claystar would probably keep the death of her family from her at least until apprenticeship yes. he’s not good with those kind of things

i got a post up!

after talking a bit via pm with believe-hwu, i'm going to edit smokestorm's personality a bit, as well as a tad of his backstory.
we decided that he was the one who came across cloverpool when she was a freshly escaped kittypet, and took her to join the clan, forming a close friendship between the two of them, with him helping raise her kits almost like an "uncle".

Sounds wonderful! I'll catch up on Smokestorm's changes when you get them up, but I'll add him to Leafpaw's backstory and relationships as the cat who found her and her mentor. It makes a lot of sense that they would be close, especially, if he spent a lot of time around the nursery when Cloverpond was there c:

Awesome! I don't want to go outright enemies, but I think there's definitely some friction there, so I'm going to add Petalpaw in as frienemy for now, haha. Excited to explore that ^^

Regarding Leafpaw's deceased family, I think maybe @broken can weigh in on, if Smokestorm knew, perhaps he was the one to tell Leafpaw the news when she was still a kitten? I'm open to it being a secret Claystar is keeping if you think that would be interesting, but I don't want to make it an unnecessary source of drama if you're not into the idea c:

okay I’ve kind of left his background but totally reworked his personality if you want to check it out back on the last page!

@daybreak - they definitely would have spent time together in the nursery, as smokestorm was the one who found cloverpool and thus the two of them developed a close friendship, with him helping her especially when her kits were in the nursery. Plus if leafpaw sort of cling to him as he was the one to find/save her, he wouldn’t want to break that.

I’m fine with the truth of her family coming out however y’all thing. I do think smokestorm should have been the one to tell her if it came out when she was younger, and if it’s still a secret, it would be something that weighs on his conscience constantly for keeping it from her. Which could be fun drama in its own way. I like the idea that perhaps after finding her he’s the one who went back and wouldn’t stop searching for her family, and thus was the one to find their bodies??

@daybreak / broken* - If you’re both fine with it then I’ll definitely put smokestorm down as leafpaw’s mentor! I love the idea of smokestorm being set on finding leafpaw’s family after finding her. I’m sure that would weigh on him so I think it would only be right for smokestorm to be the one to tell her / the one who told her. whether it’s still a secret or not is totally up to you! love a little extra drama
also I agree that doesong should be on the patrol that find calypso c:
