{ Stopping by again just before I log out! And thanks for the review of Bearheart, very thoughtful. c:}

Clan Name: FogClan

Territory: A large forest area filled with ever-greens and frost, for frigid winds are constantly blowing through the air. The cats usually hunt snow hares and whatever prey they can find, because it is so cold, but they are surprisingly well-fed due to the natural hot-springs that cover the area and provide shelter for the smaller animals. The camp itself is a big, covered, cavern with another hot-spring below the ledges and caves most cats spend their time in. On particularly cold days the camp will be overflowed with steam and fog due to the clashing temperatures.

Notable History: Nothing too notable I guess. One day a cat by the name of Blanche, because of his pure white pelt, ran away from his owner after taking a beating with a shovel and founded the clan after nearly freezing to death, but then finding the cave. Other cats seeking shelter during blizzards are usually drawn to camp, like a moth to flame, as the warm steam pours from the opening.

Unique Skills: These cats are incredibly persevering and are quite good at climbing the many pines dotting the territory. Most of them are also good at blending into the snow to catch prey.

Reputation/Personality: Fogclan knows the importance of strength in numbers and the clan is very welcoming to strangers. Most of them were kittypets or loners themselves, but they are quick to learn, since shelter means survival. Their helpfulness can be taken of advantage; none of the cats want to hold the thought that the rouge they sent away just froze to death.

Average Clan Member: Most of the cats are quite bulky and thick-furred and if a short-hair is born, many queens will begin to mourn even before the cat grows old, because there would be a slim chance of survival for the tiny kit if the camp ever were to cool down, and it does so during extremely bad blizzards. Fogclan also tend to have lighter fur-color and shades of grey, though there is some variety since others aren't from the area.

Important Notes: Eh, none that come to mind.

Didn't see this until today, my apologies!

Name Rating: 9/10
Name Reasoning: It sounds just fine. The territory sounds a lot like it could be somewhere near Yellowstone.
Alternative Name: SteamClan, but either could work. MistClan, too, since that might produce a more accurate image.

Clan Rating: 8/10
Clan Reasoning: These sort of areas do exist (I've been to them, and the hot-springs smell awful), so I won't detract from that. I would be mindful of where these springs are placed - a kitten stumbling into one results in a kitten boiled alive. A gruesome image, no doubt, and I'm sure the queens would refuse to have their little ones be anywhere near a spring. If they're too close to each other, that spells a lot of trouble for the cats; if they're too far away, the cats would have to find another way to keep warm.
Suggestions: Like I said above, have a clear image of where these hot-springs are and what they look like (research will do wonders for it).

stoneclan

Postby king boo » Sat Feb 22, 2014 3:50 am

    Clan Name:
stoneclan however i am open to suggestions
    Territory:
set in cold mountain forests of pine, there are many rugged stones and cliff faces scattered around the territory of stoneclan. there are patches where there is just stone with no trees over head, but one of the most notable features is a huge river that churns through the territory creating smaller, more passive streams that the clan drinks from. sky rock/peak [which do you prefer?] is the highest point in stoneclan territory and this is where the leaders come to get their nine lives and medicine cats come to share tongues with their ancestors. unlike the moon pool or moon stone there is nothing they specifically need to touch, the cold drains the body of heat and sends them into a state of sleep quickly. there is a huge cavern full of rock that over years has created a layer of sand and this is where apprentices come with their mentors to train in combat. mountain hares, squirrels and other animals adapted to a cold and harsh environment are the main food of stoneclan however they have eagles, hawks and other birds of prey patrolling the skies for targets and bears are deadly but are only a threat during leaf-bare when food is pitiful yet stoneclan has learned to deal with predators.

the clan itself have their camp in a small gully where the natural slope around them protects them from powerful winds and because it was once a stream or river it has plants in which dens could be made. there is a thorn tunnel leading into a large cave that belongs to the clan's medicine cat, where there is plenty of space for storing herbs, keeping sick and injured cats and a small area where the medicine cat can have some privacy. the next four dens were formed from a fallen tree, the right side of the tree where branches would of stretched out had been changed and re-enforced with brambles, ferns and other native plants of the area. it is large and homes all fit and healthy stoneclan warriors. similar to the warriors den is the apprentices den only is on the left side of the trunk and smaller. in the hollowed out trunk is a den used to shelter prisoners or passers by, they nestle outsiders in between the warriors and apprentices so that if they try to escape [prisoners that is] warriors are on hand, yet for most of the time it's empty. the final den formed from the tree is the elders den which is a small den made at the roots and like the warriors den is re-enforced with brambles and other plants. another of the two remaining dens is also inside the mound that protects them, a sweet smelling mountain heather thicket protecting the den from the weather, this is the nursery as it is closest to the medicine cat den and the sweet heather is a gentle aroma for kit and queen. the leader has a small cave that sticks out of the mound yet not one part of the den goes beyond the steep slope of the ravine, the leader preforms ceremonies on the pile of rocks that is his den. the fresh kill pile is usually placed in the middle of camp but when snow is thick on the ground it is stashed in a thicket in between the medicine cat den and nursery.at the top of the ridge of camp is a small tree where a guard is posted to watch the skies for eagles and alert the clan. there is also a wooden stump that many cats use to sharpen their claws.

    Notable History:
long ago there was a forest with a small two-leg village near by and loners, rouges and kittypets spent their time together in harmony and no-one owned the forest, it was a beauty for everyone to enjoy. then two-legs came and began to tear the forest down and the society of cats began to break, the forest soon became a place of bloodshed and borders, chase a sparrow and you might cross over onto another cats land. there were three cats who could not bare to see what was happening: a tom rogue named chester, a loner tom named rain and a kittypet, the only she-cat, named holly. they felt despair at seeing the cats they were once equal to fight over a once peaceful land and the three cats made a oath to try and persuade as many cats to leave the forest with them and the three departed only to see each other when they had found those willing to come with them in one moons time.

rain had by far the easiest time as loners wanted to leave, it was too much effort to fight all the time, all the loners wanted was peace. around eleven loners agreed to join rain on his expedition and were eager to leave. chester found it more difficult as the rogues had set up territories and enjoyed their space however five cats agreed to leave and relished the forest before leaving. it was holly who struggled most, the kittypets were lazy, liked there owners and the only kittypets that left were holly, her two younger siblings and her parents, no-one else was interested as they enjoyed their home comforts so the at the next full moon they gathered together and left, heading north.

the cats traveled facing dangers upon dangers yet chester, rain and holly didn't give in even though loners stopped and refused to continue and rogues left and as they headed further north and it began to grow cold cats began dying yet they continued. they reached the territory that would be theirs for generations and they finally stopped. chester began organizing the remaining cats who were well built and thick furred, they were not a clan yet however some starclan warriors had heard of a prophecy, a birth of a 6th clan an a patrol of starry warriors searched until finding chester's group and they told chester through dreams about the way of a warrior and clan code and they soon shaped the cats into a clan, so the first stoneclan leader was borne.

where was holly and rain during this? they had grown close spending time with each other and they were poised to be mates. however the camp had been attacked by a bear and rain was killed, his fur left bloodied and cold. holly swore never to have a mate or kits again and the first medicine cat was forged as well as stoneclan's first true starclan warrior. all that were left to be sorted were names: holly became hollyflower, chester became hawkstar, the clan was named stoneclan after the rocky territory and rain never got his name but was always remembered like a lion, and he never stopped watching stoneclan, even till now his blue gaze still watches over the clan he loved.

    Unique Skills:
stoneclan has adapted to climbing tree's and rock faces alike, their powerful build adapted to climbing
    Reputation/Personality:
stoneclan cats are proud and determined, despite being fearsome fighters they prefer to avoid fights with other cats as they are already fighting the weather, bars and hawks and as herbs are not as abundant as in a forest they try to avoid fights yet they are not cowards. they don't necessarily like outsiders however they are willing to let outsiders join their ranks or give them shelter for a night when passing through.
    Average Clan Member:
stoneclan members are all thick furred and large, any thin pelted or lithe cats must have blood of an outsider as thin furred & lithe is an impossible gene to receive when pure stoneclan, they also have extremely tough paws to deal with rocky terrain. stoneclan cats [unless if they were once a loner/rouge/kittypet] are one of the following breeds; maine coon cat, ragamuffin cat, siberian cat or norweigian forest cat. the most common pelt colours are silver, grey and dark brown, black, white and pale brown is uncommon and ginger is only possible if they joined the clan and were not born into it.
    Important Notes:
wow, i wrote a lot xD but no, not that i can think of :3
i am tempted to make a rp for this clan hence this form

Somehow I missed this, very sorry about that!

Name Rating: 8/10
Name Reasoning: They have quite a few things going for them: a series of rivers and streams, a lot of rocks and steep areas, and a huge forest. Any one of these things could be name-able, so I'll suggest a few other names just in case.
Alternative Name: CragClan (for the rocky cliffs and such) PineClan, StreamClan, SlopeClan.

Clan Rating: 10/10
Clan Reasoning: This Clan works really well! The territory is great, and I can't see any issues with the average cat or reputation!
Suggestions: None

Fixed this clan up a little, basing them kind of in Canada?

Clan Name:
Snowclan
Territory:
Cold, icy, wet. This clans territory is full of thick, pine trees, three quarters of the year the territory is bathed in snow. The territory only thaws during Newleaf when they clan makes sure to eat and hunt enough to get them through the colder months. The territory has frozen rivers and frozen pools that need to be broken for fresh, running water. There camp is dug into a enclosed hollow, three high walls surround it and the dens are dug deep into the walls and roots of trees and branches. The walls prevent snow from coating the camp. There is lots of moss around the territory, but often it has to be dried during the Newleaf and then stored until needed. Prey includes Hares, Puffins, Beavers and Goose. The cats are often hunted by Lynx but they team up to take down the large predators.
Notable History:
Founded many years ago by a cat who left there clan due to conflict, the cat gathered others, building up a clan. They settled on the territory and just never left.
Unique Skills:
Thick fur, ready for the winter. These cats seem to have fur many times thicker than normal to protect against the snow. There paws are slightly bigger, helping them stay slightly on top of the snow. They are experts at hearing there prey, at sniffing out the slightest meal. They can get into tunnels to get to mice and other small animals.
Reputation/Personality:
They have no neighbors, but will always accept more cats to assist there clan.
Average Clan Member:
Huge and thick furred, these cats clearly have Norwegian Forest Cat, Maine Coon, Siberian Forest Cat and Rag-Doll blood making up there numbers. They are huge compared to normal cats, big enough to fight and even hunt the lynxs that prowl there territory.
Important Notes:
None
Having serious issues viewing dark colours at the moment. May delay replys to pms. Sorry.

The Leopard Pups
Grey, Black and White. The world revolves and we go with it. Twisting in this everlasting monotony, eyes of green and gold, watching and waiting for our chance, our time. Cytor, Liliana, Serenade, Bayonet, the Prankster, the sweet one, the mother and the lost soul. There birth was a lost event, one in a million, two wandering souls met in the shadows, and these four were created. There pups are the stuff of legend, one lost there sight, one lost there path, one lost there love and the other? The other lost his family, everyone they cared about. He lost his family.
