CHB: Into the Storm - Discussion Thread

i'm writing a post up now. maria is on team one, gwen on team two. i'm kinda lost and feel overwhelmed since there are a lot of posts already for the event. i don't know who to tag or what is going, but i'll get something up. i was terrance to join in on capture the flag but don't know where to put him since he's the oracle, so he might have to sit out.

okay i made a post (at last lol) i just kinda shoved my two into their teams last minute. sammy, so for it!

ight so I've been super out of it the past couple of days, but I've taken the time now to read through all the posts I wasn't involved in since the time skip and oh man I love it

- Alex is probably the one person out of the entire Aphrodite cabin that Aiden cannot stand, which is funny considering he's the only guy
- reading everyone listening to Chiron list off what teams each cabin is in only to discover about half of who they were interacting with at the time were on the other team was priceless
- now that I've found out the Hermes cabin and Athena cabin are on different teams, I'm happy with my decision to put Aiden in the medical tent (he'd be so mad that he didn't stop Juliet's prank earlier, especially if it cost his team the game)
- I imagine Teilo's pocketwatch scythe disguise will have a bit of a learning curve and I hope the poor boy doesn't cut himself
- Ophelia and Mirabelle's short talk about her taking over the head counselor position while the quest goes on was touching
- Orin very casually referring to Sun Tzu as "my man" is a mood
- Ophelia getting tired of him doing this is also a mood
- to continue on this, Orin just casually talking about harming people and seeing them suffer is just Big Mood™
- Juliet is going on about all the stuff they could be worried about from the other teams and then Teilo disappears and she's like "yo that's dope we're definitely going to win"
- Auggie on the other hand is understandably jealous but that just means their team now has two campers who can avoid social interactions like true introverts
- oh no, Terrence. Terrence no
- with all this going on, I definitely feel for Jamie since he didn't even want to be there in the first place

the pocketwatch was a bit of a retcon as i realised that scythes are, as a matter of fact, rather large, and likely a clunky thing to carry around ahahah - but i can picture teilo in front of a mirror trying to figure out how exactly to hold the damned thing so that he doesn't get suddenly assaulted by this big blade in front of his head
i have so many plans for that poor little cymro during this capture the flag game .. a claiming is incoming

orin has read ONE book over the year and he will be DAMNED if no-one knows about it .. plus the contention with ophelia is really interesting considering the fact that his whole cocky spiel is kind of there as like 'i'm arrogant because i think i'm a brilliant and hilarious guy NOT because i'm a child of zeus' and having her note the latter in her tirade is likely going to throw him for a very big loop

overall a stunning commentary 10/10
