Name: Helmeppo (someone help. I forget if he has a last name or not and the wiki isn’t helping.)
Age: 22 (?) (someone help. I’m guessing.)
Gender: Male

Personality: Helmeppo is a...unique individual. Simultaneously a bit selfish, yet protective, cold, yet empathetic. Helmeppo is incredibly protective over what few people...er... person he has left. He’s more than willing to take risks for his comrades, to a degree. He won't take impossible odds, he won’t throw away his own life. He values living too much for THAT!

Helmeppo strives to be better. For himself, nobody else. He wants to become a better Captain than his father was, and will stop at nothing to achieve that. He is easily made jealous (and Coby could name several examples of this...) and while not usually openly emotional in comparison to his counterpart, he has had moments where his emotional filter stops functioning altogether. Helmeppo is not impulsive. He thinks before he acts, after some prior negative experiences, and is not afraid of his own past flaws, having negatively described his old self and pointed out his flaws back then, but it is unknown whether or not he’s capable of recognizing current flaws.

Helmeppo is a proud individual. He seeks recognition and likes being in the spotlight. However, he (usually) won’t take credit for something someone else did. He can be quite bitter over things, and hold grudges long-term. On the flip-side, those few people (-cough- person) he’s managed to connect to, he sticks with, for better or for worse. He’s hardworking and dedicated, loyal to his faction without question.

Helmeppo is still a bit arrogant, he brags, and sometimes plays things up a bit, and isn’t afraid to express annoyance at the little things, but he generally does it all in good fun. He would never go out of his way to hurt an ally. He is often the ‘voice of reason' (yes, I know. Scary thought.) to his counterpart, and is a strategist overall.


History: When he was first introduced, as the son of Captain Morgan, Helmeppo was basically a spoiled little brat. He used his father's status for his own gain and was a certifiable madman. He was violent and aggressive, and tended to use petty words and empty threats against others to gain favour.

Upon his father's defection and arrest, Helmeppo joined the Marines as a chore-boy, where he re-met his counterpart and eventual friend, that being Coby. Slightly off-putting given their first meeting was when Helmeppo held him hostage at gunpoint, but for some reason this is never brought up. They worked and trained together, even if they were...considerably at odds, at times, with Helmeppo more often than not just trying to shake Coby, but leveled up together in their faction, and have rarely been seen apart. Helmeppo warmed up to Coby more after his life was saved by the latter.

Helmeppo stands where he is at current, in the position of Lieutenant-Commander, with pride, and plans to continue moving forward.

He was 20 in his debut, so he is 22 in the current storyline. But judging from how this is still in Loguetown, he would most likely still be 20.

Name: Full name: Azara Orion
casual name/nickname: Zara (the crew can call him either Zara or Azara, he probably prefers Zara, but won't care if you address him by Azara. Buck will probably go with Zara nine times out of ten, Draco might switch based on his mood)
Age: 32
Gender: Let's go with he/him or they/them pronouns with a preference for he/him. He's somewhat androgynous and would probably enjoy leaving people to question his gender.

Personality: Azara is very Quiet and reserved, yet not shy, he excels at problem-solving whether that be social or otherwise. He is incredibly intelligent, charismatic, and kind, he usually wears a calm smile no matter what the situation is. It's extremely difficult if not impossible to ruffle his feathers or get under his skin in any way as he is able to effortlessly shift the aggressor into the hot seat instead, so he's not someone you want to mess with. He's kind and easily approachable, the kind of person it would be challenging to dislike.

He's also very hard to read and intends to keep it that way, showing emotions and opening up are things he prefers to leave to others. On that note, he's remarkably compassionate and easy to open up to, if anyone ever needs a shoulder to cry on, someone to vent to, or a wise comrade to ask for advice, he's the best option around. His ability to read people like a book also comes in handy when conflict arises within the ranks of the crew, (*cough* Draco) leave it to Azara to find an easy and effective solution to any problem his comrades may face.

Azara's favorite activity is reading or studying new subjects, he can usually be found doing so during his free time while enjoying a warm cup of tea courtesy of Buck. Another activity Azara likes to take part in is collecting things, items such as interesting trinkets, sea glass, small carvings of animals, and model ships in a bottle can be found neatly arranged on his shelves accompanying his many books. Some of these items are ones he found, others he buys from artisans or haggles for a ridiculously low price from a sleazy merchant.
History: Azara has no reservations telling tales of his travels far and wide, having been a marine for a number of years before turning around and selling the world government out by joining Dragon in the Revolutionary Army and spilling all of their filthy little secrets. Azara ended up spending many years with the revolutionaries but after a close call and getting too close for the government's comfort to uncovering what is apparently one of their worst secrets of all, unfortunately, before he was unable to get the last piece of information to put the puzzle together, he ended up getting caught. After well over a year of torture, he managed to escape while being transported on a vessel meant to take him to his execution due to some commotion caused by another prisoner.

Azara then decided to take a break according to the recommendation of his superiors in the revolutionary army, which is how he ended up joining a rookie pirate crew on a whim since as he quickly found, staying put on land was not his cup of tea as it brought back memories of both his unsavory childhood and being held prisoner at the government's hand. Because of his past and his extensive knowlege, Azara has quite a hefty bounty but is currently presumed to be deceased by the government because the transport ship he escaped from disappeared without a trace.

While sharing stories of his many adventures and explorations is always something Azara is up for, speaking of his imprisonment or childhood trauma is not something you will likely never find him doing. Said childhood trauma mainly consists of his abusive father who his mother died protecting him from, his mother's attempts were not in vain, and although his father was not arrested due to being a retired marine officer, Azara was taken in to be a marine himself at the ripe old age of 13.

Rank: Historian/tactician, he helps the navigator and captain decide the best islands to visit, his time spent traveling the world with multiple organizations makes him extensively knowledgeable on pretty much every element of sailing the seas, and outsmarting the enemy. (out of the roles you have listed I think either navigator number 2 or plain old crewman would best fit him)

Devilfruit Abilities: Hari Hari no mi (glass glass fruit), Logia type fruit that allows him to become and create glass. When using the glass on himself he can become transparent. (note: this is risky because if caught off guard and hit really hard he could shatter, if he can piece himself back together the best he can while still made of glass, he'll survive but it kills his stamina and he will return to his flesh form likely with rather random injuries) He can also cause shards of glass to sprout from his skin, making fighting against him a very bloody task. He can also control glass and can create invisible glass sheets to step out on over the ocean or dangerous terrain such as fields of broken glass shards that he creates, only he knows exactly where the thin sheets of glass are so there's a big risk of falling especially if heavy or moving too fast. The glass he creates can also be used as a shield if he makes it thick enough, but that takes a bit of his stamina to do. Another use for his glass is that he can trap people in it, creating a skin-tight thick layer of glass around their body, or even turning their body parts into glass and rendering them unusable.
Weaknesses to his ability include armament Haki stronger than his own, and guns/projectiles/explosives, glass isn't very strong, so unless he perches himself on the thin glass sheets I mentioned earlier and hopes for the armament haki user to take the bait, miss, and fall to their death in a sea of jagged glass shards, he's rendered somewhat useless against them. And against a sharpshooter, he has to coat his glass in haki, which causes him to lose the advantage of it being clear.
Other Special Abilities: He does have good observation and Armament Haki and is very intelligent/cunning, it would take a lot to outsmart him if that's even possible.
Crew: Calm Belt Pirates

Appearance: 6'4 with semi-long, black hair and an eyepatch over his right eye, his visible eye is a vibrant gold hue. He bathes regularly, far more often than your usual pirate, and stays neatly shaven. He dresses in a rather professional manner, wearing long dress pants, shiny dress shoes, and a dress shirt, usually accompanied by a tie, maybe even a jacket or a vest to complete the look. Overall his appearance is very neat and clean, somewhat academic, an unusual look for a pirate. He is never seen in shorts or short sleeves, likely to hide any branding or unsavory tattoos bestowed upon his body by the marines during his capture, the most skin you will see is when he rolls up his sleeves halfway to assist Buck in cleaning the kitchen. On occasion, you may even spot him sporting shiny cufflinks, or a pocket watch he purchased from an unknown local artisan.

Other: I hope his DF isn't taken, I don't remember ever hearing of it or seeing it in the show. (I love Buck but I feel like he's so anxious that it's hard to form any fun relationships with him.)
