ryker doesn't have the most brain power in his family
but he makes up for it with the care he puts into every
single thing he does, particularly when it comes to taking
care of his siblings. ryker has learned to be independent,
even though he tries to be goofy in order to cope with his

unfortunately for him, ryker luxen xyrcan was born without the safety of the headquarters, meaning he underwent the implant
surgery, and wasn't able to develop a power. his childhood was relatively normal. he was raised with the few other kids born in
the same year as him, including 'princess' ella. ultimately, things couldn't stay perfect for very long. he already wasn't born with
the best eyesight in the world, requiring glasses by the time he was three, but his condition only worsened. by the time he was
fourteen, ryker was almost completely blind. despite his parents beginning to neglect him due to his condition, ryker never felt
as though he was alone. ella would always have his back, and so would his younger siblings. ryker now works in the nutrition
ward with evren, using his younger brother as a pair of eyes.

evren is the livewire of the xyrcan family. he's
headstrong, as determined as his brothers, but he
lacks the ability to focus on whatever he's doing.
evren maintains a very optimistic outlook on life.
while others may call him dumb, he euphemizes

evren luxen xyrcan was born only a year before the headquarters was built, meaning he, along with his older brother, received
an implant. from a young age, evren was diagnosed with adhd, causing his parents to turn away because he was "imperfect".
they always said to ryker: "if he can't focus on these basic academics and combat training, how could he possibly be a valuable
member of the uprising?"

hearing that didn't break evren's spirit. he always thought that there was something he was born to do and that he'd find it
eventually. for the time being, evren works in the nutrition ward with ryker who has become his best friend. because ryker
can't see, evren has vowed to be his eyes until he can. yes, that's evren. always full of hope.

If you mean whether or not there's separate variables tied to each individual character, no. The variables are universal and every character can contribute equally.
Everybody's choices will add up to influence the outcome. :)

also, on a scale of one to ten (one being the best ten being the worst), how would you

There's a wide range of endings, essentially ranging from paradise to tragedy. Some of them are inconclusive. Here is a pretty much spoiler-free version of them.

Outcome A: This one has the most destruction. I'll give it a 9.
Outcome B: There's so many potential split final endings for this (at least three), I'm counting it as a single outcome under the umbrella of "Outcome B". Rating is inconclusive but ranges from 2-8.
Outcome C: Acceptable but very bittersweet. This one gets a 7.
Outcome D: The Uprising will be back where they started, gaining nothing and losing little. A different path will be necessary. Rating is inconclusive.
Outcome E: A bright future ahead. I'll give it a 3.
Outcome F: Even worse than Outcome A, even though A has more destruction. Definitely 10.
Outcome G: The best possible ending. Victory, redemption, hope, and peace. I rate it a solid 1.

Some of the endings are particularly horrible. However, none of the Phoenix Squad will die in any ending. There will always be hope; a happy ending can be achieved in the end even if Outcome A happens!
Outcome F is the only one you have to worry about. However, it's incredibly difficult to achieve (thankfully).

Since Ella isn't a member of Phoenix Squad most of her opinions come from their reputations and what she would've seen from short encounters in headquarters. The exception is Cujo and Lanette who would have worked alongside her in the health ward whilst she was still in training.

Phoenix Squad- Female
[Lanette Lane: ❤] The pair met helping out in the health ward whilst they were both in training and Ella honestly just loves being around her. The pacifist rebel's determination and compassion have won Ella's heart and being betrothed to Alastair has only served to elevate Ella's crush on her.
[Jennifer Dire: ◆] From what she's heard Jen does not sound like the sort of person Ella would like. She sounds violent and cruel but she's a friend of Lanette so she gets the benefit of the doubt.
[Arys Slate: ◆] Ella has heard little about Arys so she has no opinion of her.
[Sabine Coudriet: ♫] Ella doesn't know a lot about Sabine since she seems pretty quiet but she's friends with Lanette so must be pleasant enough.
[Eris Manes: ◆] Ella doesn't know Eris well. She seems pleasant enough if a little irritating.
[Aphrodite Thorne: ♫] Ella knows Aphrodite only as a hard working rebel.
[Emma Grey: ◆] Ella has certainly heard the loud voice of Emma but she doesn't know much about her aside from that.

Phoenix Squad- Male
[Leonardo Torota: ♫] Leonardo just sounds like a sweet kid. Ella thinks highly of anyone who could be considered a pacifist.
[Apollo Torres: ✘] The only thing Ella had ever heard about Apollo is that he's a bully. She finds it hard to believe that even in a team of people fighting against the oppression of a tyrant anyone could think it's okay to hurt their team members.
[Gavotte Lane: ♫] Gavotte is Lanette's brother so of course Ella likes him well enough. Plus he's kind and peaceful and she appreciates his logic.
[Naevys Luxen Xyrcan: ♫] Ella admires what she has heard about Naevys' intelligence. Plus, he's a friend of Lanette's and she trained alongside his elder brother until she left for the city.
[Cujo Yakovski: ★] Cujo was another of the Phoenix squad to meet Ella helping out in the health ward. She appreciates anyone who wants to help people as a medic and she's incredibly impressed by his power, if not a little jealous. He seems cheerful and friendly all the time although his formality sometimes brings her mind back to Alastair.
[Ardai Fairchild: ♫] If the two were to ever meet Ella would probably hate Ardai for his reckless nature and his belief that evil can be countered with evil. However, she has never spoken to him nor has she ever met the force of one of his attacks. She knows only that he seems to keep morale high and is a prankster, reminding her of her younger brother Lewis, and so believes he must be pleasant.
[Caleb Oxenbera: ♫] Ella has heard that this rebel is well trusted and friendly.

Other
[Prince Alastair Brungard: ➹] Ella has had to spend more time with this royal than most and she detests nearly every moment of it. The way he speaks sounds like he's completely in love with the sound of his own voice. She feels like every move he makes is just a carefully placed brick in his bridge leading to power and he keeps hinting at some 'plan' which he refuses to elaborate on. It's incredibly frustrating. Plus, there's the fact that he's the son of a tyrant and she's had to become his betrothed.
[Commander Atlanta Hunter: ♫] Ella has nothing but respect for the leader of the Phoenix squad. She definitely agrees with her belief in teamwork and support of all other rebels.
