Ranger is one half of a set of twins, the other being his much more outgoing and danger loving brother Arthur. Always the cautious one, Ranger was the one who'd hold back rather than jump head on into a situation. He doesn't much like taking risks and tends to worry a lot about others.
Born in England, him and his family lived there until he was 15, only just moving to the U.S. two years ago. He does somewhat miss England, but he loves America too for the fact that it isn't constantly raining as it did over there.
Growing up, Ranger was the constant target of bullies. Always being chased around and picks in, even beaten up on multiple occasions, he was relentlessly tortured his whole life, right up through now. It was actually this relentless bullying that brought about his skill for climbing as he would often climb high up in the trees in order to get away from his tormentors.
Ranger has known he was gay since he was thirteen, though he's yet to come out. Going through the bullying and torment he has, coming out never seemed like a great idea to him. The into one who knows that he is gay is his twin, who he couldn't exactly hide it from. Neither of his parents nor his sister know, though his sister does suspect.
After the plane crashed, Ranger woke up to find his brother Arthur gone. He searched around, but found no sign of him other than the necklace he always wore among the wreckage of the plane. He now wears his brother's necklace instead and it has become his goal to find his twin. He refuses to believe that he is dead, no matter what.

Gerard was born September 22nd in San Diego, California to his single mother. An only child, he never knew his father and was raised solely by her.
He lived in San Diego for the first seven years of his life before moving to England when his mom got a job transfer. At first he felt very out of place, but now ten years later... well, he still feels rather out of place, but at least now he has developed a full accent. His American accent was completely demolished by the time he was thirteen.
An outcast from birth, Gerard has always been rather unique. Awkward and quiet, he tends to come off as socially inept, having a hard time smoothly communicating with others. He's also rather feminine in nature as well as physically, being oddly short and scrawny for his age. Growing up he's always been teased and picked on because of his awkwardness and physique and his pink hair and apparent like for painting his nails hasn't much helped.
In terms of his health, Gerard was born with a poor heart and had very low stamina. He's also legally blind in his right eye, hence why he usually covers it with his hair. It's a light blue color compared to the dark brown of his other eye and all he can see through it is very dim, blurry shapes, like somebody moving in a very dark room.

Elias grew up in Nova Scotia, Canada with his mom and younger sister. He had a father too, but after his parents divorced when he was ten his father disappeared from his life. He hasn't spoken to him since the divorce and only gets one card a year that counts for both his birthday and Christmas. Obviously, they aren't very close.
Elias' sister was diagnosed with cancer when he was fifteen. At the time she was only eight. The doctors did all they can and they had her sent to some of the best hospitals and treatment centers in Canada and the states, but she eventually passed away anyhow. Afterwords it was just Elias and his mother.
Elias came out as gay when he was seventeen, still in highschool. Though his mother was quite accepting of it, many at his school were not, and he was frequently being teased, picked on, and even beaten up. After graduati he moved away quickly to live on his own away from his family and home.

Bridget, or Northern Ireland, is a rather sweet and traditional girl with strict Catholic beliefs and morals. She believes in doing things the proper way and living under the word of God. However, that doesn't means she's a perfect church girl either- not by a long shot. Bridget can be quite feisty and hotheaded when provoked and has quite the temper buried under that sweet smile. She's the kindest and most hospitable person you'll ever meet right until you tick her off. Angering her is never a good idea.
She is more of a follower than a leader, but not necessarily a pushover either. She will speak up about it if she feels she's been wronged, but all in all isn't usually the one to step up and the lead. She prefers to stay behind others instead.

Bridget and her brother Finnian (Ireland) have a somewhat touchy relationship. While they share a close bond and history with each other, their views and opinions can differ greatly, leading them to sometimes argue or disagree with one another. They are still very close, though, and spend much time together.

Finally, Bridget does not participate in any after school activities, per say. Instead she spends most of her time in the library and volunteers there helping put away and organize books. She lives to read and spends the majority of her time with her nose buried in a book.

Finnian is outgoing and rowdy, always running around fusing trouble and being loud. He's mischievous and loves to mess with others, spreading lots of chaos in his path. He's also very flirty, constantly hitting on anyone and everyone he can, male or female. The fun part of it is, he's never actually had a real relationship before, just flings. He's never really take anyone seriously in that sort of way before and pretty much just fooled around, giving him a reputation op as being somewhat of a 'player'.
Impatient and not very polite, Finnian is always talking over others and butting into other peoples' business for no apparent reason other than wanting something to do. Despite this, he is a genuinely nice person if you take the chance to get to know him. He'd never turn away a friend and really does know how to have a great time. Finn really is a great person to have as a friend once you push past the flaws.

Daniel is a fun-loving and outgoing guy who's constantly messing around. He loves to just have fun. He's a firm believer that you should spend every moment doing something you enjoy in order to get the fullest out of life.

Loud and rambunctious, Daniel was always the troublemaker in school. Everything he did got him in trouble for one reason or another, something teachers and parents were not very impressed by. He, however, finds it hilarious. He's not a bad boy, not by any means, he's just not the best of influences. However, he is a sweetheart by nature and very kind and caring. A super friendly and likable person. Not to mention gentle. Despite his trouble causing and mischief, he was always allowed to babysit his younger sister, showing he was trust worthy as well.

Daniel's parents divorced when he was young, and afterwards him and his sister continued to live with their dad. Their mom lives across the country, so they don't see her much. They do keep in contact, though.

A couple years after their parents divorce the siblings learned of the reason why the marriage ended. Their dad was gay. Daniel's dad met a man named Louise who eventually moved in with them, and though the two aren't married yet, Daniel always calls him his stepdad. Alia, being younger, just calls him dad. He's proud of and loves his gay dads and won't tolerate anyone being rude to them or their sexualities.

Gerard is rather nice and friendly for the most part. He's not a total sweetheart or anything, but he plays nice. When it comes to Sammy, however, he is very protective and caring of his little brother and very sweet to him. He tries hard to play the role of a perfect big brother for his little brother. Gerard first got into the supernatural around the age of fourteen. He became very immersed in the idea of spirits and beings of another plane and such. This especially became a big deal to him, though, when his younger brother began being able to see spirits. He made a necklace for him to help ward them off so that they couldn't harm or attack him.

Personality
Aaron is friendly and kind. Not anti-social but not a social butterfly either, he's kind of right in the middle. Of course, having grown up in Lincoln he knows nearly everybody is will say hi to them whenever they pass by. A like able person in general, he doesn't really have any enemies or anyone with reason to hate him. He believes in treating others with respect and it's paid off for him. He's known by his peers for being one of the nicest guys you'll meet.
However, despite his niceness, he like everyone else has his flaws. Aaron has a hard time dealing with change and doesn't take well to it. Anytime something in his life majorly changes he tends to go into denial, refusing to believe whatever it is, even if it's right in front of him. He also tends to recede away from it, drawing back and keeping his distance from the problem. Basically, he runs away. He can't handle change and it frightens him, so he abandons it and hides away.

History
Aaron was born in Lincoln and has lived his entire life there. Raised an only child in a middle class family with loving parents in a happy marriage Aaron has never really had it hard. No major traumatic events. Nothing spectacular at all. His life is about as ordinary and plain as could possibly be.
For him, the most life-changing thing to ever happen to him was the death of his grandmother who he had been really close to. She passed away three years ago of cancer when he was fifteen years old. It was really upsetting to him and to deal with the loss he spent most of his town sitting by the river under a tree, reading. Reading is his escape and he almost always seems to have a book on him, switching books nearly every day due to his fast reading pace.
A senior in high school now, Aaron still lives in the same house he's spent his entire life in. After school he plans to head off to college in New York and hopes to eventually land a job at a publisher as an editor working with authors. He loves literature and though he enjoys writing he's always dreamed more of helping others get their works published rather than any of his own.

Jake grew up his whole life with his mom in a nice little apartment in the city. He loves it there and is proud of where he comes from and the mother who raised him. He grew up a very friendly and outgoing kid with lots of friends, and was always having a great time playing around and just having fun. He never knew his dad, since he left when he was only a little kid, but he never minded and it isn't much of a touchy subject for him at all.
When he was seven years old, his friend's apartment building caught fire when he was staying over the night. He received bag burns on his back and shoulders which have left permanent scars on the skin, making him feel uncomfortable with taking off his shirt in front of others for fear they'll ask about his scars. This also makes him very wary of fire and he's careful never to go too close to it.
Not all too long ago, Jake began to toy with the idea that he might be bisexual and still isn't sure whether or not yet if he is. Honestly, he's very afraid of being bisexual because he doesn't want others to think of him as different, so it scares him a lot that he might be and he's trying very hard to contest that.
All in all, Jake is basically a very fun-loving, humorous, random, clumsy, and somewhat insecure boy who just wants to have fun and hopefully make some friends to share the fun with.

Personality

Hally is incredibly stubborn and doesn't like listening to others. She always follows her heart and so if she feels something is right she will hold onto it, no matter what others say. She's more than willing to put her life on the line for a friend and is extremely loyal, however when betrayed is hard to earn back trust from. She isn't a fan of second chances in most cases and it can take awhile for her to warm up to someone again after she feels they have betrayed her trust.

Hally is actually quite nice, though, and isn't a mean person by nature. She cares a lot about others, including strangers, and is always willing to lend a hand. She goes by the 'no man left behind' policy and would never intentionally put others in danger. She likes making friends and is rather easy to get along with too.

On the flipside, if you tick her off Hally will absolutely kick your butt. She's not the toughest girl, but when angered can be potentially quite violent or dangerous. She cannot do martial arts like many meisters due to her upbringing, but she can hold her own in a fight at least to a point. She's quite intelligent and gets excellent grades in school and spends a lot of her free time reading and writing poetry.

History

Hally was born and raised in Holsbury, Connecticut as an only child by her extremely religious mother and father. Her life basically consisted of home, school, and church, and her parents rarely let her go anywhere or do much, preferring she focused on her studies and prayer. Because of her many restrictions she often felt secluded from others and never really had any friends growing up. She was often alone and spent most of her free time reading, writing poetry, listening to music, and taking walks on the nearby beach when she thought she could sneak away.

Just this year Hally was inspired to join the DWMA by a cousin who had recently graduated. He'd snuck off and attended the school without the knowledge of anyone in their family, managing to convince his parents it was a Catholic boarding school. Of course, they were horrified to learn the truth. However, Hally found it incredibly inspiring and managed to convince him to help her sneak away and get there as well, excited for a change of pace and a chance to do something she wanted to do. He signed her up, and soon she was enrolled.

Her ankle became very badly I.nursed during a fight with a kishin. The scar is deep and not properly healed due to being reopened multiple times, so it does flare up suddenly now and then, causing her to have excruciating pain often enabling her unable to walk. If reopened in battle it can potentially cripple her, leaving her weak to attack, so she is always especially careful to watch for any attacks that may hit it.

Hally is blind in one eye, though she isn't quite sure why. She has no memories of her life up until the age of seven and whenever she's asked her parents they've skillfully avoided the subject. However, her real eye color is in fact a nice, darker blue that now only shows itself during soul resonance. At some point one eye became blind and the other changed colors to a light green, but again, when or how this happened she is unaware of.

Relationships

Jonathan Cross

Her father. The two aren't incredibly close and are at odds on many things. He's the pastor at their local church and a religious man at heart. Very intelligent and motivated though not the most loving of fathers. He does truly care for her despite their differences, though it often isn't evident. The two rarely get along and Hally is quite frightened of the idea of him finding her and dragging her home.

Mary Cross

Her mother. They're closer than her and her father though not by much. She's a nurse at a hospital in the next town from where Hally grew up and is very religious. She's quite serious, much like her husband, and is very concerned for Hally's future. She worries easily but isn't very warm or motherly in nature. Though her relationship with Hally is better than her husband's, she too is often at odds with her and Hally fears her arriving as well.

Justin Cross

Her older cousin, a death scythe, Justin is a fun loving and kind hearted person. Like the rest of their family, he is very religious, though he takes it in a different light and is much more open minded of things. Whereas their family would faint upon meeting Lord Death, he willing ran away to attend his school. He's a vibrant, hyper guy who's constantly on the move and Hally's biggest inspiration. She looks up to him as a sort of role model.
