I am looking to start a Modern day Dragonriders RP

The characters will be based off the The Dragons Of Pern, which you can find more info here. Please skim through that page to get a full understanding of the characters if you have never read the series. And if you havent read the series, she is considered to be the best science fiction writer of the century, next to Game of Thrones.

Semi Literate to Literate RP, though I understand writers block

A terrible sickness is spreading through the planet of Pern. Desperate and losing options, the Fort Weyrleader decided it was time to open the back rooms of the Weyr, rooms that had been closed off since the colonists first landed. In them they found many strange things, including ancient maps and charts of the skies. Simmarrah had an idea. What if she went between time to when the ancients first landed so that they could stop the sickness before it even started. She stole one of the star maps, and placed its coordinates in her mind. She had heard of other riders timing it, it was forbidden and dangerous, but she was confident of their skill. What she and her queen did not know as they slipped between was that the star map wasn't of ancient Pern but of OldEarth.
When the pair arrive from between they find themselves in the year 2015 on a strange new world full of amazing fascinating things!

Intro Post
The pitch black cold of between went bone deep, encasing them in claustrophobic nothingness. Simmarrahs fear grew as the usual 15 seconds of darkness stretched into minutes. The only thing she could feel was warmth of Alimikes scaly skin beneath her gloved fingertips. Her breathing quickened and her heart began to race. Had she been wrong? Had she forever trapped them between, flying the dark depths until they starved to death, or died from the crippling cold?Alimike reached out to her riders mind.

<Itll be OK. I trust you.>

Simmarrah was worried. Her friends voice was faint, not the usual vibrant tones that rang through her head. Are you OK my love?

<I'm just getting tired...> With a sigh the dragon began to pass out. Simmarrah screamed her name, no sound escaping from her lips. They fell through the darkness. Suddenly, light bursts all around Simmarrah. She raises her arm to cover her eyes, blinded by the sudden transition. The woman can feel the sun on her face, the sharp snap of her hair in the wind. She laughs in relief: they were out! They weren't going to die in darkness!

Her exuberance quickly vanishes as she looks around her. The land stretches out below them, shades of green and brown showing the outline of the a forest. They were obviously several miles above the earth, and falling towards its surface.

"Alimike! Ali, wake up!" screamed Simmarrah, both aloud and in her dragons mind, as they plummeted. Her dragon was unresponsive, her mental presence nonexistent.
Simmarrah pummeled her dragon with her fists, trying to wake her. The dragons mind stirred, and she began to react to her rider. Simmarrah could only scream as they fell, the earth getting closer. Alimike back winged two or three times, trying to slow their descent.

They slammed into the trees, branches and twigs shattering around them. The pair crashed hard into the soil, Ali landing awkwardly on her side. The dragon lay where she landed, her eyes half closed. Simmarrah sat in the saddle, stunned. Her arm was at an awkward angle, and a few of her ribs felt cracked. She struggled to release the leg ties on her saddle, and then slipped off her dragons back. Crying out in pain and fear, the dark haired girl stumbled to her dragons head. "Alimike my love, are you hurt? Please answer me!" She sobbed into her neck, there was no response from the golden dragon.

Simmarrah head began to spin and she grew dizzy. Blackness seeped in around her and she collapsed over her dragons neck.


Who will find the dragon? Where will she lay her eggs? Who will become the new modern day dragon riders? What kind of laws will they have to pass? What will the government do?

There could be a very good storyline here, I'd just need others interested in doing it with us.

We currently need a few humans right now, possibly a government official or two. Eventually your human will get a dragon when the eggs hatch!

You've heard of Pandora right, Like from the movie Avatar? Well Xanorus Is kinda like Pandora, but instead of being inhabited by blue people and weird creatures it is inhabited by another human-like peoples and dragons. There are some other creatures on Xanorus but they aren't the main focus here. Dragons are the more important creature. They are respected, loved, cherished. Most live peacefully alongside the people that live there. They even form certain bonds with them that last forever and can never be broken. Sadly there are evil dragons and people on Xanorus, some even wanting to start a war but first they need the numbers, and they are gaining them. With every passing hour, an evil man named Darius and his dragon Sulphur gain more and more followers. Soon they plan to attack. So who's side will you join: The evil ones known as Mördarna or the good ones known as Styrka?

The crowd is hysteric. The horses beside him are snorting, pawing, sweating, trembling. He can feel his jockey's heartbeat, pounding with fluttering desperation. His own body shakes; his blood mixes with an invigorating rush of adrenaline, fear, and power. The gates swing open with the sharp clash of a bell, and he's off.

He wakes up with a start, perspiring as he staggers to his feet. He may not have been meant for the track, but that doesn't mean it hasn't permanently engrained itself in his life. To him, every day is a day at the races: breezes, races, paces or gallops, trailers, starting gates, finish lines. Walking, relaxing, rolling in the pastures -- all of these things are foreign to him, and he can't learn them on his own. He needs you to help him. He doesn't have any other choice. It's all mental, and he doesn't know any better.

He needs a rescuer. Won't you be that for him?

Beginning of The End

Foots steps echo as there is movement down a broken street in what appears to once have been a town. Although now most of the buildings are horribly damaged and smudge with a sort of ash like color. It appears to be empty and abandoned from the looks of it. Apon gazing at the remains of the town a newspaper shred can be seen blowing by.

Residential evacuation is underway after a series of unexplained explosions. There has been suggested link to radioactive testing in near by experimental laboratory's but there has been no confirmation of this yet. The Mayor of Deepstead has made the decision for a mandatory abandonment of the surrounding area of the explosion sites and an advised watch and maybe even similar abandonment of other risk areas. This is said to be for the safety of the people to protect them from a still yet unknown risk at hand. They have also been sighting of strange creatures now in Deepstead, people are advised to....

The ripped article stops there, giving no further information. But some knowledge is gained from this: this seems to have seemed from somethimg radioactive, most of the town has probably gone, and there are strange creatures lurking about. But a thought now has probably occurred, "did it affect people?" A glance or possibly a felling can answer that question. Things are defiantly not the same. And without caution this seems like it could be the beginning of the end.

In the small town of Waekefield, the season of winter had arrived. During this time of
year, people come together to spend time with each other and enjoy the cold weather. The magic
happens around this time of year. Many relationships between two people form, and they spend their
time enjoying each other's company during this season- cuddling under warm blankets, playing in the
snow, drinking from warm mugs of hot chocolate, and simply being with one another.

If you couldn't tell, this is a winter romance roleplay. It's the beginning of December, and there's plenty
of snow to go around. People will fall in love and enjoy their time during this season. Around a certain
point, there will be Christmas. We will discuss it in the discussion thread. I'm open for ideas.

Here lie two packs that exist with no hope of peace between the two. These two packs haven't been at war for long, in fact the war didn't happen until Keisari took the throne. The previous Emperor had been a powerful and respected leader, but Keisari was just a joke. A goofball in all forms, it wasn't supposed to be him who took the throne, but his elder brother Galit. Galit was the eldest son, the alpha of the pups with his siblings obediently following his lead, trained for his entire life to lead while Keisari was left in the shadow of his older brother. Keisari was the runt, the omega, and though he was cared for he was never meant to rule, he was never trained for such a thing. He lived out his life relatively unknown to the rest of The Empire.

One day disaster struck, and the eldest heir was no more. There was one wolf who wanted this era of peace to end, one wolf who wanted war. Her name was Aruka. A black female who wanted the royal line to end and chaos to ensue so herself and her own family could take the throne. She had one living daughter, all the others had perished. They were sick and Aruka begged The Emperor for help, but he turned her away knowing there was no hope for the sick pups. Two died, but one survived and Aruka decided to fuel her fire and make her hate the royals so together they could plot the destruction of the royal family.

When Aruka felt her daughter was ready the two snuck into the palace and together they killed the king and queen, then they found the pups, but one unknown pup was not there. Galit and Keisari's two sisters were slain without mercy. After their work was done the two females left, satisfied that things would soon descend into war and chaos. However, Keisari stumbled upon the scene in the morning, discovering his parents and siblings dead at the young age of two years. He called for the royal advisors and when the scene was discovered a meeting was held between all the nobles.

They decided that despite him being young Keisari would be made the new Emperor and his ceremony was held later that day. Unfortunately once he was made The Emperor Aruka and her daughter expressed their disapproval, upset by their failed attempt at chaos. Aruka quickly devised a plan with her daughter to rally his subjects against him. Some turned to their side thinking that he was unfit for the position of Emporer, though none knew of the true treachery behind the story. All they knew was that he was the only living heir, and suspected he killed the rest of his family for the throne.

Aruka and her daughter quickly amassed their troops and marched on the castle, but their ragtag group was no match for the well trained nobles. They were banished and chased off, but in the process Aruka was fatally wounded by a noble she was fighting and ended up dying on the run. Her daughter took the lead of The Banished pack becoming the alpha female. She swore revenge on The Empire as she lead her pack away building up her numbers and properly training her troops. Soon their would be a war, her pack is preparing and The Empire is being ruled by a wolf who was never meant to rule. This is what happens when an omega becomes an Emperor.
