He could be named Crookedtail, but it's a very small kink to name someone for. I would suggest making it more noticeable and from an accident as an apprentice if you want to use that name.
There are several other grey-tabby names that I could suggest, and I will advocate those over a name pertaining to his personality or fur texture. The reason for that is because if you were to line 5 cats up of varying colors, and ask a stranger who's Willowheart, they would be able to point them out easily because they're a light grey cat. If you were to line up 5 different cats and ask who Softstorm is, they wouldn't be able to tell you because they can't exactly go up to every cat and touch them to see who's soft and who isn't. And what if Softstorm is no longer soft like they were as a kitten? What if they're a big, muscular cat now?
A cat's coat color will remain consistent throughout their entire life, and that's a pretty secure bet compared to them possibly being bigger or skinner than they were as a kitten.
Plus, well, a suffix is where you describe a cat's skills or personality. It'd be a little redundant to have a Wildstorm, don't you think?
So! For other possible names: Ash-, Aspen-, Bleak-, Boulder-, Burdock-, Crane-, Fir-, Grey-, Juniper-, Roach-, Slug-, Smoke-, Squirrel-, Thistle-, and Willow-. I would suggest going with -stripe as a suffix if it weren't for his skills in battle.
