backstory.
sorina was born in a tiny out of the way town in romania to a mother who had no idea what kind of danger she was in and a father
who put his heart ahead of his brain. her father was an inhuman running from the american government and the hunters sent afte
r him. he had been a taskforce soldier, but a moment of weakness broke his conditioning and sent him running to escape those wh
o wish to keep him under control.
after fleeing to first england then italy, her father settled in the tiny town in romania where he stayed for several months before
meeting sorina's mother. she had been a normal woman living a normal happy life, but fell for the american and within only two
months, she also fell pregnant. he hadn't told her about the hunters out to capture him, but she found out eventually. when sora
was about 4-years-old, the hunters caught up with them and her father put up a fight which resulted in unwanted casualties. her
mother was killed by a stray bullet and her father was killed after taking out three of the hunters. they had wanted to take him
back alive to be reconditioned, but he forced their hand. instead, sorina was taken back to america in his place.
sora was placed into a school in colorado and raised to believe that her parents were killed by rebel forces. she was told that b
oth of her parents had been enforcers instead of just her father and it gave her a sense of duty to do as her parents had once did
and become an enforcer as well. unfortunately, her plans were derailed a couple of months after turning ten when a sudden sick
ness fell upon her and nearly killed her. the doctors believed it was her powers manifesting that caused the sudden near fatal sic
kness, that her half-human side was fighting against the other inhuman side and it caused her body to attack itself. she had only
a few symptoms such as body aches, nausea, and tiredness, but the worst one was the fever that nearly fried her brain. her temp
erature reached nearly 109β which is high enough to cause brain damage in normal people, but being inhuman she survived.
unfortunately, even though she had survived the sickness and near fatal fever, sorina was left blind and can only see vague shapes
and shadows. the only bright side to her sickness was her energy power had manifested which led to her being singled out by her
teachers to try and enhance it. they viewed her as a possible weapon if they can get her to harness her power in the right way. s
orina learned a lot about her power over the next few years, but was mostly pushed until they found her limits and was pushed e
ven more to try and move past them. she could never really push past her limits like they all wanted her to, but she did try.
when she was eighteen, they released her from the school and she was sent to work with the taskforce stationed in texas. there
she worked at becoming a useful team member, but just couldn't do as much as her superiors wanted. she was sent to new york
a few years later to try and work with a different team, but once again, she fell short of expectations. when she was about twe
nty-four, her team was ambushed by rebel forces. she had been forced to stay back at the compound and wasn't injured, but on
e of her teammates had been severely injured in the firefight that ensued. sorina had grown fond of the man who had been inju
red and was distraught over what happened. her high emotions and desperation to save him ended up manifesting her secondary
power of healing. she was able to absorb the burns and other injuries onto herself which saved him, but put her into a coma wh
ich lasted for two weeks while her body fought to heal itself.
after her healing power came to light, the government really cracked down on her and she was sent to training for her new pow
er in chicago. it's been only a year since she's joined the taskforce there and is still rather new at using her healing abilities tho
ugh is doing her best to learn to be able to help her teammates in other ways than fighting beside them.

- main power is energy manipulation [think scarlet witch of marvel, minus the mind trickery and gold instead of red]
- she can use it to manipulate objects [pick up, move, or throw], create shields, and some other minor things which she's still
learning
- since she manipulates energy of the body, she can also 'read' a person's energy which changes color within them to match what
they are feeling [i'll have a list for reference] and is more of a side effect so it takes no energy to 'read' others it just happens
- it's the only color she can actually see, everything else is shadows
- the power is extremely taxing since it uses the energy she has stored inside of her from sleeping and eating
- if she uses it too much, her heart can literally stop from lack of energy
- carries energy bars and drinks with her for an extra boost if she ever needs to use a lot of energy
- secondary power is healing, but in actuality, it's more self-healing
- in order to heal someone else, she has to first absorb the injury and then heal it on herself
- obviously extremely dangerous since absorbing fatal wounds will kill her
- she feels everything that is absorbed, such as broken bones, cuts, stabs, gunshots, etc.
- absorbing injuries takes only a few minutes while healing what she has absorbed could take anywhere from a few minutes to
days depending on the extent of the injury
