Name: Rosefrost
Gender: She-cat
Clan: Flareclan
Rank: Warrior/Queen
Personality/Skills:She is a very quiet cat who is an amazing hunter. She loves kits and is a very loving cat. She hates fights but if pushed she can be vicious. She takes a long time to trust but when she does she will forever. Very smart and thoughtful.
Important Notes: None that i can think of (If you could rate this name and if you think of a better one let me know)
Well, that is what I'm here for, haha.
Name Rating: 4/10
Name Type: Canonical
Name Reasoning: Rose- is a charming name, certainly, and a traditional one, but she's a sheer white cat with only a smidgeon of red on her. I'd say her suffix matches better as a prefix than her actual prefix.
I thought I had -frost up on the names section on the front page, but I guess not. Basically, -frost is a pretty unflattering name. It implies a cold, distant cat with little concern for others or compassion. This cat is pretty loving, about the opposite of that. She is a really good hunter, though! There's a suffix for that.
Alternative Name: Frostwhisker/Whitewhisker. Both prefixes indicate a white cat, and -whisker indicates a good hunter.
Character Rating: 9/10
Character Reasoning: Being a warm, loving, and thoughtful cat is a little distant from someone who takes a long time to trust others, don't you think? I think that bit could be taken out, mostly because she seems like someone who would be open and empathetic, and a little bit of a mother to the Clan (imagine her scolding a mountain of a cat for causing unnecessary fights, and them just sitting there with their head bowed and tail tucked around their feet, completely ashamed that they disappointed her - I'm laughing about it, I dunno about you).
Aside from that, I just want to note that a female cat who's gentle and kind doesn't necessarily need to be someone who loves kits - or alternatively, she could turn into a complete monster at the vaguest threat towards little ones. I don't know if you've ever met a queen cat, but holy crap can they turn vicious at the drop of a hat. And some of them don't do well with kittens, either - usually because they're ticklish (and kick the kittens away), or they're not the best mothers, etc.
Anyway, I would think hard on whether you just automatically assigned her as a kitten lover just because of the associated traits or not, and maybe try something else. You could have her dislike kittens, but be good at faking it, or she could feel awkward around them and avoid the nursery, etc. Something like that.
