I have a list of plot ideas all detailed below - let me know which one you'd like to do, the gender pairing you'd like to do for it, and any questions/ideas you might have (provided you fit the requirements for a rp partner below, and I fit your requirements as well). As will become clear very quickly, I have a particular love for enemies to lovers/opposites attract tropes.
- 1. Musicians/Band
- Couple of ideas under this. Don't have to be strictly humans either, we could also have one or both be a supernatural being?
- The first idea is two musicians/performers are known in the industry to be rivals - enemies, perhaps. They both had similar starts to their careers, and there's a rumour that they were both in a band in their teenage years together (something that they refuse to clarify). After a serious, public argument/fight, the two performers are threatened by their label/manager that they will be dropped unless they go on tour together, seeing it as an opportunity to capitalise on the tension. The two musicians agree, if only for their careers, and end up having to share a tour bus. Despite a rough start, the musicians have a turn of events that make them realise that there's more to their rivalry than they thought... and maybe confront the truth behind their past teenage band rumour.
- A rising to fame band is setting out on a huge tour. With them, is a documentary crew to... well, document and film the tour to create a documentary about the band and their quick rise to fame. One member of the band and a member of the documentary crew end up finding themselves hanging out together more than they expected - maybe they don't quite get along at first, but slowly warm to each other. But it's tough to keep even a friendship hidden from the cameras, especially as the crew member would prefer to stay behind the cameras than in front of them.
2. The Hopeful & The Cynical
- This can be set in a modern, or post-apocalyptic, or maybe fantasy world (if you have a preference, let me know)! Two people meet - a hopeful, naïve individual that sees the world in a better light than it actually is, and a cynical, closed-off person that has experienced how harsh the world truly is for most of their life. Despite everything, their meeting changes them both. Perhaps they get tasked to go on an adventure together, where their relationship develops during it, or are both kidnapped/otherwise trapped/captured, and work together to escape. I see the two developing over the roleplay - the hopeful individual being forced to learn how harsh the world is, and the cynical one finding the hope that they lost. I can play as either role!
3. The Vampire &...?
- I have a specific character I'd really like to play. A vampire that embodies many of the stereotypical traits of a vampire - dramatic, wears long capes, lives in a big mansion, etc.
Your character could be another vampire that is more modern/very much the opposite of stereotypical, or a werewolf, or another creature if you have an idea that you'd really like to play. I won't do a vampire x human for this one.
For plot, perhaps our characters are enemies/rivals/don't get along, and are known in town to bicker or sass each other at almost every opportunity. And then they are forced to team up to face off against a common enemy. Maybe one of the two gets in some sort of trouble with another group, and ends up at the other's doorstep, beaten up and with no idea where else to go, where they are taken in and explains everything. But now that the other one knows about the group/enemy, that also puts a target on their back as well, which forces the two to have to temporarily live together and team up until this problem/group has been dealt with. Let me know what ideas you'd like to do as well, though!
4. The Theatre Star & Musician
- Centring around the star of the stage working in a long-standing theatre as their headline performer for each production, and a new arrival to the theatre - a new musician for the orchestra. The musician assumes that they'll be unnoticed by the performer, but the performer finds themselves drawn to the musician. Perhaps the two end up realising they take an almost identical route home each day, or maybe they find they go to the same spot for lunch - something that gives them a little thing that they have in common and a reason to start talking to each other. Naturally, from there, they grow closer. We can discuss further details - maybe the theatre owners/director/conductor have an unspoken rule about relationships between employees of the theatre to avoid awkwardness when/if there's a breakup, or the differing reception that both get at stage door - audiences don't know/care who the musician is, and go wild when the performer steps out - is another thread to play with.
5. The Grand Relics
- This one may be more suited for a small, private group of up to four, including myself, or maybe using two characters each if a 1x1. Set in a fantasy-world that utilises magi-tech, our characters find themselves working for a secret organisation that seeks to locate, retrieve and destroy seven objects known as The Grand Relics, after accidentally finding one themselves while on an entirely different job, and being able to resist the 'thrall' of the Relic (which attempts to entice others to use it, and very few are able to resist it). The Grand Relics are extremely powerful objects, but such power quickly corrupts the user to the point of causing huge destruction. This roleplay will follow the adventures of the characters retrieving the Grand Relics, and growing closer as a team... and maybe uncovering a secret or mystery or two.
So, what am I looking for in a RP partner?
- An adult. I will not rp with minors.
- Can write a fair paragraph or two - massively long responses aren't needed, but at least something that can be replied to (200-500 words? A little more?).
- Willing to discuss ideas/plot points.
- Somewhat active! At least a few times a week for responses would be great (but I'm fairly flexible about this).
- Good with mxm, fxf, nbxany pairings.
- Have ideas and suggestions of your own. I don't want to be the sole decision maker, and the only one coming up with ideas for the roleplay.
And as for me:
- Am adult.
- Will match what you write (or try to!), I can often write about 200-500 words.
- Prefer mxm, fxf, nbxany. I'm willing to do a mxf pairing, if we double up and also do a mxm, fxf or nbxany pairing as well.
- In GMT/BST timezone.
- Usually active, will try and post at least once or twice a day (although I do occasionally have times where I'll be offline for a few days to a week, if my schedule gets busy).
- Thread/Forum roleplay is preferred, but if you'd really prefer Discord, then I will ask that you set up the server.
- Have lots of roleplay ideas, and always up to discuss them!
