Description

Iris is a 5’1 young woman with a slim but slightly curvy figure. She has an incredibly fair complexion that much to her southern dismay never tans and only burns. She has beautiful hazel eyes, that are a dark green with golden flecks inside. She keeps her light brown hair long, just past her elbows, and styles it mostly in loose braids or leaves it down. Her lips are on the fuller side and she has a nose ring that she got when she felt rebellious at the age of 20. She likes to keep her makeup rather simple with an eyebrow tint, mascara, and a lip gloss as when she is wearing her glasses she hates the way a full face smudges. Iris prefers to wear contacts when she’s out on the town but will wear her glasses in the comfort of her own home, her siblings teased her relentlessly about her eyesight when she was younger so it’s a bit of an insecurity. She has a beautiful smile with dimples and her skin flushes very easily. Iris actually prefers to wear sun dresses, or loose flowing dresses, with her cowgirl boots that she will never be seen without. It is only in the winter time that she likes to wear soft boot cut jeans and cozy looking sweaters. She is never seen without three simple white gold band rings that she wears on her right hand, each having belonged to a relative that is now passed. She wears a simple dainty cross necklace that she rarely takes off if ever. In full transparency this southern girl does own a cowgirl hat but is almost never seen in it.

Personality

Iris is one of the sweetest, brightest souls you’ll ever meet. She greets everyone with a smile, and she may not know you or you her, but with her southern hospitality you’d think you’d been friends for years. She can be loud with her excitement, her emotions clear as day on her face. She’s open book with who she is, what you see is what you get. She couldn’t lie to save her life and she hates keeping secrets. There are times when those around her wonder if she even really takes a moment to think before she speaks. She is innocent and unaware at times, all together far too trusting of well everyone. Her heart in on her sleeve so please be careful not to break it. Having raised 3 boys and having 6 brothers, she is one to care for her friends and is not afraid to give someone a piece of her mind. She is outspoken, incredibly loyal, and one of the most loving people you could ever meet. Iris is a big believer in forgiveness and honesty, she’s not one to back down from a hard conversation. She’s fiercely protective of those she deems as friends or family, believing that the ones you keep in your life are a big reflection of who you are.

Bio

Iris grew up on a farm in out in the middle of nowhere Texas. She has two loving parents, Gavin & Darlene, who always meant the best for their children even when it wasn’t the most well executed. Iris is one of eight children, being the fifth eldest and one of two girls she was in charge of caring for her younger brothers. Most days Iris didn’t mind as she enjoyed children but keep in mind she was just a child herself. She was homeschooled, though you wouldn’t know it right off the bat, and incredibly sheltered growing up. Growing up basically on a homestead she learned the value of hardwork and rather enjoys making a lot of things from scratch. She loved the days when she was in charge of family meals and never minded when she was supposed to mend hers or her brothers clothing. She found a love for painting was close friends with her older brother, the fourth child of the Winnows, Rory who also loved to paint. Her life was simple and she was happy for the most part, as she’s gotten older things have changed. Her brother Rory came out as gay when she was around 18, causing him to be disowned and shunned by the family. Iris still talks to her brother but has to keep it hush hush or else her parents would cut her off from the outside world as punishment. After she turned 19, her parents began to push for her to settle down and find a man. This is when she began saving every penny she could so that she could leave and put some distance, she isn’t and wasn’t ready to settle down. She moved to town one month ago finally able to support herself and get out of her hometown and away from her slightly crazy family. She’s so excited to be on her own and working at a bookstore.
