I have a list of plot ideas all detailed below - let me know which one you'd like to do, the gender pairing you'd like to do for it, and any questions/ideas you might have (provided you fit the requirements for a rp partner below, and I fit your requirements as well).
- 1. Royal Engagement
Two royals are arranged to be engaged/married - either to each other or to different royals - and meet as part of some arranged get-to-know-you couple of weeks before they're due to be married. Muse A is more of a rule-follower, maybe a bit uptight. Muse B is spontaneous, outspoken and essentially the complete opposite. During their time together, though, they find themselves drawn to each other. Perhaps, even, Muse A helps Muse B to be more grounded, and Muse B helps Muse A to be more adventurous.
I'd prefer to be Muse A for this one!
2. Rival Researchers
A pair of researchers that investigate the supernatural/paranormal find themselves investigating the same mysterious happening. They've been known to be rivals/enemies in their line of work, and are both published and respected writers. Perhaps one is a skeptic that refutes the existence of the supernatural/paranormal and the other looks to prove the existence of the supernatural/paranormal instead. Both are too stubborn to let the other investigate alone, so they end up having to work together as to not arise too much suspicion from the townsfolk.
3. Supernatural Fantasy/D&D Inspired
A) A sea captain and the tavern owner the captain visits whenever they return to the port, bringing gifts and stories. This could be set over several encounters, each time the sea captain returns to the tavern. Over time, with each visit, their relationship develops, and unspoken feelings are felt. Maybe it turns into one of those 'everyone can see but them that they like each other' - or perhaps they know that if they do confess then perhaps they would have to decide whether they can abandon their life as a captain/tavern owner to be with the other.
B) Two renowned adventurers are hired - either by the same person/group or different ones - to go on a quest to find a [magical object(s)/rogue sorcerer/cure]. They end up meeting at some point during the adventure (if hired by different people/groups), realise they're on the same quest, and decide to travel together, because they are on the same route anyway. Maybe they don't even hit it off very well, just working together out of convenience (perhaps they each have something the other needs to complete the quest?). Then they end up taking a genuine liking to one another during it, after some inevitable fighting and other shenanigans.
(This could even be reworked to play as two characters each, with them all being in the same adventuring group that are being forced to work together).
C) I had a third idea but I don't remember it rn so this may be updated later when it comes back to me.
4. City Muse in the Country
Muse A has never gotten their hands dirty in their life, having lived in the city with rich parents all their life - and it's not something they're willing to do any time soon. However, after years of having everything handed to them, Muse A's parents decide to send them to a family member's ranch, out in the country - maybe because of an upcoming, long-term business trip, or their parents saw how Muse A was turning out and want to try and rectify that. At the ranch, Muse A meets the ranch hand, Muse B, who is helping the family member out on the ranch. Naturally, the two are at odds, especially as Muse A refuses to help willingly and Muse B's patience runs thin with them. But perhaps Muse A will learn there's more to life than getting everything handed to them, and perhaps Muse B will learn there's more to life than constantly working.
So, what am I looking for in a RP partner?
- Preferably an adult!
- Can write a fair paragraph or two - massively long responses aren't needed, but at least something that can be replied to (300-500 words?).
- Willing to discuss ideas/plot points.
- Can post about once a day/every two days.
- Good with mxm, fxf, nbxany pairings.
And as for me:
- Am adult.
- Will match what you write (or try to!), I can often write about 300-500 words.
- Will only do mxm, fxf, nbxany - I have no preferences, so just let me know what you'd like to do.
- In GMT/BST timezone.
- Usually active, will try and post at least once or twice a day.
