milkpaw is a friendly and curious little shecat. her favourite things to do within camp are listen to the elders tales and construct fun and often mildly destructive games. loyalty is very important to her, and she values this traits above all else, in herself and in her clanmates. she is very bright, loves to explore, and is endlessly driven; a combination of traits that often lead her into some 'interesting' situations. however, milkpaw loves a challenge, and most of the time she is able to handle those situations with ease. sometimes though, her reckless or impulsive tendencies drive her into corner, and in those times milkpaw uses her smaller stature and quick thinking to fight her way through any obstacle.

milkpaws' parents had actually been kittypets before she was born. her mother, littlehawk (known at the time as lilly), was a curious and adventurous molly. one night she had been wandering the streets near her house, when she suddenly stumbled upon a young tom named cream. he was charming and proud, someone who shared her eagerness for adventure, and she fell for him hard. they decided to abandon their cozy lives as kittypets in exchange of a life of freedom. a few months into their adventures they had wandered into another town, much more populated with twolegs then their previous home. at this point lilly was heavily pregnant, so they decided to settle down in an old farmhouse in preparation of her kitting. unfortunately, a twoleg who lived close by grew tired of having the stray cats hunt and scare away his birds, and he decided to set up a trap. only two weeks after lilly delivered her kit, cream was caught and collected by the twolegs, never to be seen again. distraught and afraid, lilly wandered towards the forest with her kit, seeking sanctuary. she instead stumbled upon _____clan and begged them to take her in. they welcomed her, and lilly's name was changed to littlehawk. her young kit was named milkkit, in memory of her father.

At first glance Pebblestripe seems like the strict teacher type; no-nonsense, serious, and a stickler for rules, young cats in particular might see her as the ultimate bore. She can definitely be a bit of a wet blanket when it comes to having fun or deviating from assigned tasks or rules. 'Get it done and move on to the next thing' is how she approaches clan life. She often finds herself feeling as though her clanmates are holding her up with idle chatter, and partly for this reason she has developed quite a stern voice and a habit of shooing others along like a grumpy queen with too many kits. It's not uncommon to see her (usually fruitlessly) trying to herd her assigned patrol out of camp and get on with things.

Pebblestripe has a strong sense of fairness and finds herself frequently relegated to sorting out disagreements, large and small. She's generally unbiased and capable of considering matters from all sides of a conflict. However she's one to consider the bigger picture of things, and sometimes petty squabbles are something that she feels she simply doesn't have time for, which can lead to her being too harsh or rude when mediating.

Pebblestripe is not very emotionally driven, and tends to get over things quickly and not hold grudges. That's not to say she doesn't have feelings or emotions; she's just very capable of processing and moving on without too much trouble. On a surface level she may seem a little robotic, but her friends know her to be warm, encouraging, and even one for a laugh and a bit of banter at times. She's known for not taking crap from anyone, and she's very capable and confident in her ability to stand up for herself and others if need be.

Paleheart is an exceedingly stubborn and
opinionated young warrior. She isn't afraid
to challenge any and all of her clanmates
if she thinks their ideas or actions aren't
justified; not even the leader is immune
to criticism if she finds fault with some-
thing they've said or done. She has strong
opinions on what is wrong and right, and
often refuses to compromise if other cats
think differently.

Even sensible, logical arguments might
not be enough to sway her if her gut tells
her something different. Paleheart has an
opinion on everything, down to the little-
st of things, and she jumps at the chance
to have a spirited "debate" (more like a
one-sided argument) whenever the oppor-
tunity arises. More than once she's had
her opinion swayed but, out of stubborn
pride, won't outright admit this to her
opponent and will descend into sullen
silence or storm off in a huff.

Paleheart is blunt and straightforward
most of the time, but can also be surpris-
ingly patient and gentle, although that
side of her only ever comes out when
she's alone with family or her closest fri-
ends. It's only those privileged few that
really see her at her best.

Most often, the type of cat that her clan sees her as is that of an unpredictable nuisance with a penchant for stirring up discord wherever she goes. Paleheart has a tendency to expect the worst in most situations and is, annoyingly, often vocal about it. She doesn't always have the sensitivity to notice when her doubtfulness is affecting the morale of others. She's quick to correct herself and provide reassurance if others point it out to her, though. She simply tends to speak her mind without much thought for others; something she knows she needs to work on. That's hardly the only thing about her that's a work in progress, but she's never been very good at introspection and self-development.

Paleheart's moodiness and fiery personality can definitely rub cats the wrong way, but under her rough, changeable exterior she's genuinely kind, and her heart is always in the right place even if she comes at things with a negative view. She's loyal and will always try to choose the right thing to do. She's guided by her heart rather than her head, and while this can get her into trouble, she ultimately takes pride in it, no matter what.

All of the new forms from Arkinhollow, bunsniff and fluently sarcastic are accepted - welcome aboard! I am glad to see so many people are interested in this roleplay. At this time, apprentice slots are now closed. We have 9 warriors and 6 apprentices, and I'd like to to see a couple more older warriors on the roster before I open apprentices back up. We have a rather young clan atm!

For people who don't like doing starters me cough cough here is some additional information to help get the muse flowing!
The weather is leaf-fall (fall), close to leaf-bare. The weather will be chilly (approximately 50 degrees), and the time is early morning.
At this point, everyone's' kitties should be waking up and preparing for patrols. If your cat doesn't get selected for hunting or border patrols, chances are you have an apprentice, and you can go training with them. If neither of the above applies, you can start a mini-drama (a disagreement/fight, run-in with a minor predator (like a hawk/eagle), a minor injury, sickness, etc.) just nothing absurd like a pack of dogs charging camp.

Last but not least, I have moved our poll page to 5. That'll hopefully get the chapter going a few pages sooner, so it'll give everyone something to do quite quickly.

Sounds great! It will be a lesson to Minnowpaw to stop sticking her nose in everyone's business - not everyone will like her more for it - and she'll learn that not everyone is her friend. It's 50-50 for me. Sometimes I will spend 30 minutes typing out an elaborate backstory, other times I'm just like "oh, their parents died. Sad. NEXTTT"
