If you'd like you could say Poppy's mother was killed by Windegos instead the cliff story. That's just more of a personal suggestion though. Take it with a grain of salt.
As for Snowdrop, just to warn you, the Mother Tree's power seems to keep the forest they live in a nice weather all the time. The Cold Nothing does creep in sometimes, but is seen as something terrible. I do image maybe a nice normal snow happening every once in awhile, but the centaur work very hard to keep the flowers alive during this time. But a blizzard would not happen unless the Cold Nothing took over completely.

....and i thought that the forest had normal climate changes, you had mentioned previously that it was not tropical. so i had
just assumed that it had seasons. i didn't know if the flowers where magical and could withstand the winter weather of if had just enough magic juice to power them through a winter so the flower could recover. or if the centaurs made a greenhouse thing? or if the flowers where farmed in a cave or something? it's your world
just let me know. Snowdrop well, she'll just be prepared for any unexpected cold weather that may or may not pop up i guess. Lol
