Spellcasters - Discussion & Forms

@everyone - I love to see everyone discussing relations for their characters! I'll have a few in mind, but anyone that has anything they'd like to discuss/suggest, let me know as well! A few ideas I have for relations I'd like for certain characters, if anyone would like a volunteer a character that would fit (and feel free to make other suggestions for characters that don't fit these/any ideas you might have)!

Astoria
- A student she becomes something of a mother figure for? (Maybe Spring, but other Seasons considered)
- A tutor she has a bit of a rivalry with (maybe another Season in a 'my Season is better than yours' way, perhaps if @TheRegularTerrarian you're up for that?)
- Vaguely flirty with another tutor? Sort of?

Elias
- Maybe someone that tries to help him be a bit more empathetic/not have such a blunt mindset?
- Someone (perhaps same person as above) that is the only other person that knows about the wedding rings he wears around his neck. Help process this man's grief.

Rohan
- Student(s) that reject him. Be cold. Crush him. Or let him down gently ig works too.
- I've seen a couple of these going around, but study groups? Both regular and Track?
- Maayyybe someone that likes to hear him sing but he doesn't seem to notice them? And/Or someone that he goes to after being rejected for support. It's the same story again and again.

Lyra
- A rival in Winter Track? To the point they've gotten into trouble for using Lunar magic on each other to see how quickly they can get the other to sleep.
- A super close friend that others aren't sure if they're a couple or not.
- In the same vein as above, study groups!

@selaphorys - No problem! I love expanding on worldbuilding and discussing stuff. I'd say there could be magical plants, though there's plenty of regular plants that may get used for Potions.
In terms of equipment, I think cauldrons would be more fun. Potions that are made in class are bottled carefully (and those potions made that aren't quite up to standard/entirely different to what was intended to be made are disposed of safely).

@Furrydogs12 - Your characters are accepted, I'll update the character list shortly.

I'm up for discussing relationships as well. Probably with the teachers and staff primarily, since that's who Paz would interact with the most, but fellow students are also welcome to help pull her off her high horse

I’d love to talk about character relationships as well! Here are my current two (my third will be a teacher).
For any boyfriends or girlfriends, I’d like for our characters to be friends first.

Theo - 2nd Year Autumn. In his first year, he was brave and confident. During the middle of it, and up to today, he is now very anxious and socially awkward due to an event nobody knows about. He IS nice, however, and some of the anxiety seems to be a mask he’s putting on. Can become friends with others, it just takes time if they don’t know him already (2nd/3rd Years are more likely to have a pre-established friendship with him).

Belle - 1st Year Summer. Very kind and friendly, and also quite self-confident. Loves to share her interests with others, especially reading, and also likes helping other students with work-related problems they might be having.

I’d be happy to talk about what your thoughts were about a friendship between Theo and Sirenn!

Going to message you about something, but we can discuss friendships here.
Sirenn is nervous, basically has anxiety, so maybe they could have bonded somehow over that? Also, Serena being friendly and such, maybe she could have actually pushed them to be friends.

I feel like Belle and Serena could be friends? Idk.

Maybe Theo and Jessel could also be friends.
Or Belle and Jessel.

Then I have Genn, but he’s quite a bit older…


Furry- you know which two of mine have crushes on yours. We could have friendships between characters too.

Lila could have a rivalry with Lyra if you’d like! She’d likely dislike Lyra for her kinda nonchalant/ easygoing attitude towards studying. (This is what I got from her form so correct me if I’m wrong.)

@InfectedHau - Astoria probably wouldn't have much in the way of interaction with Paz (though I imagine she'd hear a lot from the other tutors), but with Elias, I could imagine that she's in his class like 'I already know this' half the time. Elias tends to save the last 10-15 minutes of his classes for questions, so maybe she asks a lot (maybe to the point the class overruns? Haha) and he's always excited to answer questions from those that seem interested.

@Spiritstar3 - For Elias, that would have to be with another tutor, since it'd be very unlikely he'd ever share that with another student. And for Rohan, since he's a 1st Year, that'd probably be more with a 1st or 2nd Year at most for the singing part. For the other things, though, we can work with something!

@Consulting_Angel given the class Elias teaches, I'd imagine they're less questions and more full-on debates lol. Paz has some very strong opinions on magical theory.

@Furrydogs12 - They are a year apart, but I think that could work! Especially with Lila's work ethic, and how it can definitely come across that Lyra doesn't take her studies as seriously as others do.

@SpiritStar3 - We can give that a go, see how they work.

@InfectedHau - Aha, fair enough. She'll have Elias in a cold sweat then, maybe try and finish the class early to get out of it lmao.

Mildred isn't quick to admit she needs help, but she would love to be friends with Lila! She's a very sweet old lady. I could see her knitting mittens for Lila in mint and ice blue, insisting on her wearing them during her winter walks. She'd rather be friends with Lila first, study buddies second.

I was thinking that Peregrine would have just a little crush on Astoria, from their teatime chats. There could maybe be something ambiguous between them, slightly flirty but not really? He's a dork so he wouldn't know what he's doing.
I'd also offer up Peregrine to be a friend for Elias, since they're both new-ish teachers getting their bearings. But he would have arrived as a teacher right when Selene died (2 years ago), so he wouldn't have known about her or have been close to Elias in his time of grief.

Peregrine would be happy to encourage Paz's interest in potions, if she wanted to attempt more advanced potions or techniques. He's more of a "fun" teacher which she might not like, but he would try to adjust his teaching style so she would still feel challenged in his class.
