no matter how much you want to turn your head, to grasp for the girl and hug her,
tell her everything will be alright - it is impossible. some say she'll drive you mad,

it is hard to pinpoint exactly when she arrived in lethe; no one can remember he

✬ Born the eldest child of a crime boss in London, Hugo was
raised to be his father’s second in command. His father was
manipulative and controlling, making sure he always kept
Hugo in line and had him doing exactly what he wanted him to
do, expecting him to follow blindly, and he did. This system
carried on unimpeded and unquestioned for a while, Hugo
doing exactly what he was told and doing it well, until his
father ordered him to kill his uncle. In a crucial moment of
indecision, Hugo’s father ended up dead by the hand of his
uncle, and Hugo was framed. Seeing no other way out, he
went on the run. He woke up on a train with no memory
of any of this, or anything about himself. Seeing a name
printed on the inside of his jacket, and having nothing else
to go off, he decided to claim that for himself.

✬ Hugo generally comes across as cold and calculating,
his brain wired to be constantly on edge, but keeping a
level head in the midst of it. He is cynical and untrusting
to a point of fault, but he sees it as self-preservation. Though
it takes a lot to break through the mask of his calm demeanour,
he is easily frustrated with situations he doesn’t understand or
doesn’t have control of, and hates anything that he can't conquer.
He has a bit of a superiority complex and can’t stand being
bested by anyone in anything.
✬ Hugo stands at 6ft with a lean, muscular build and pale skin littered with
various scars from incidents he doesn't remember. He has dark brown hair and
icy blue eyes.

✬ Born in 1052, Zenaida has had many homes throughout her life,
though ‘home’ may be a strong word for the places she stayed in
brief intervals between fleeing for her life or simply being bored
with her surroundings and seeking some new adventure. From the
age of sixteen, they had developed a habit of disguising themself
as a man in order to join the army, though which army she was a
part of fluctuated through the years, picking and choosing
whichever side she deemed to be fighting for the right cause.
Most of their life was spent on the run, being pursued for being a
witch as well as for various crimes. They used many different names
and identities before finding their way to Lethe. Because of the
constant change in her identity, she was gifted the power of
shapeshifting. They can imitate humans forms as well as
animals. Their most common disguise is that of a red-tailed
hawk.

✬ Zenaida’s personality is best described as ambiguous and elusive.
One never really knows how she is going to react when being
approached. At times they can be cold and stoic, a soldier with
a mind only to protect the people of Lethe, but at other times
there seems to be something more malevolent behind their eyes.
Despite her seemingly austere manner, Zenaida is incredibly loyal,
and would easily lay down their life for anyone they deem worthy
of their respect. They are slow to trust, and usually keep things to
themself. They are cunning, courageous, and at times manipulative,
having a skill to get what they want and to get out of things they
don't want.

- Lorenzo spent his life navigating the water ways of Venice, Italy, where his small yet proud family pursued dreams that one only reads about in storybooks.
