@froggie - how attached to mousekit's name are you? i just remembered something...
mousekit was the name of wisteria's littermate - the one who was killed in the dark forest. wisteria was there to witness his death. it was a rather traumatizing thing for her to watch her littermate being murdered especially because she was still pretty young at the time
for this reason i don't think she would name her kitten mousekit because it would just be constant reminder of that event

but if you're super attached to it or something we could say adderstrike named her. wisteria won't be happy with it but she's too stubborn to admit that she was so traumatized. she might end up being a bit distant from mousekit though because of that (not like, on purpose or anything she wouldn't actually hold any resentment towards her kit for her name. it would be a subconscious thing)

hmm...i suppose i'm partial to Buzzardkit because i like the name but nobody ever uses it. my secondary choices for her would be Lizardkit, Quailkit, or Wrenkit.
and if you don't like any of those i can always find more names!
