One more question: I am so sorry...
Since we are posting the actions of our character(s), we need to include where the cats are hiding the eggs (right?).
If we do this, can the other cats just go immediately to the hiding place or do they have to act like their character(s), meaning they do not know where the hiding place is?

They have to act like they don't know where it is. Everyone is starting off in camp, so unless someone followed your character and watched them to see where you're hiding them, then they shouldnt know. I assume characters can wander upon someone's pile of eggs if they're hidden on the ground in plain sight, but otherwise, they shouldn't know.
You should roleplay out your character hiding them though, so there's a basic description of where they're hidden (:
