Juniperpaw was named for her scent when she was born. The smell of Juniperberries took over her when she was a week old, and she had been named Juniperkit, even before that. She also had a sister named Bluepaw, whom was named for her bluish grey pelt. Her father, soon after her little brother was born, ran away to become a loner. He later died at thunderpath.

Born in Stoneclan, she had no siblings, and only her parents. She didn't trust anyone too well in the clan, until an apprentice showed her that everything was okay. The tom at this time was known as Greypaw, and had shown Puddlekit that the clan was fully trustworthy. Him and her had b=gotten along quite well, and they ended up being mates, having three kits. Greyheart soon became a loner and died.
