Yeah when there's a lot of influencial events in their past, it makes their characters so much more interesting and exciting to RP. There's a bunch of characters (mostly villains) that I love so much just because their complex or sometimes simple pasts make them so strong and sometimes better (in my opinion) than the protagonist in certain animes.

Right...? They say your past defines who you became so why not eh? Its important to know both sides of the story before simply saying "they are a bad person!" you know?

Definitely! There have been so many characters that my friends didn't like simply because they were the antagonists (Shego from Kim Possible), but they had perfectly valid reasons behind their actions. It doesn't justify trying to end the world or whatever else they were planning, but it certainly explains a lot about them.

Welcome back Xerxes! To be honest, I haven't been very present on this thread as of late because of school and homework and everything else in life that happens. A lot of other people have been absent lately so most of the stories we were working on have sorta stopped for the moment. I do know however that Cece found Persephone's key and is returning with her to the guild to raise a little bit of.... well you know
