I can see Gold being confused with his game counterpart given that Ethan from the Gold/Silver games looks exactly like him though the two are quite different since the manga actually gives Gold a very defined personality and such

abilities / powers; kakashi is a prodigal shinobi - one only seen once every couple generations. although his skill in most of the ninja arts are exemplary, the ninja specializes in ninjutsu - possessing a particularly strong affinity towards lightning. he moves with skill and unnatural grace, but his movements are usually very casual unless he chooses to take someone seriously. in addition, he possesses the sharingan - transplanted though it may be. when he slides up his headband, revealing the crimson and black eye, his reflexes and movements are pushed to a whole new level, and he gains the ability to use the sharingan's own special powers.

overview; it is...hard to shoehorn kakashi hatake into one specific 'personality type', and he likes to keep it that way...keeps most people on their toes! the first thing you may fully realize about kakashi is his mysteriousness. the man himself is a mystery, not saying much about his past, his dreams, his life itself...as if he wants to keep it all shrouded within his own mind. while this may cause some people to naturally assume him to be of the shady sort, the ninja seemingly contradicts this by being frustratingly cool and laidback, to the point of coming off as lazy. every movement he makes, however, is confident and self-assured, and hidden behind his casual and naturally kind demeanor is a sharpy intelligent and inquisitive mindset. it's hard for most things to surprise him, and he naturally takes control of any situation he's a part of, bypassing the defenses of people with less willpower or confidence than him.

kakashi is a veteran of a war, and this shows itself in his aura - a dominating and intimidating shroud that, when focused, can intimidate even the most stubborn of men. it's easy to tell when kakashi decides to become serious. his half-lidded eye turns sharp, and the atmosphere becomes almost tense. that is, until he finally drops back into his 'normal' personality. as a person, kakashi genuinely enjoys teasing and messing with others, and has a witty, sarcastic sense of humor to go along with it. make no mistake, however - to him, there's nothing more important than friends and loved ones, and he is more than willing to die for what he believes in.
