personality martenfang is a jovial and fun-loving deputy who enjoys being everyone's friend above everything else. she prefers to go about even the most tedious of her duties with a positive attitude, priding herself as one of the funniest and goofiest cats in the clan -- after all, she can even make her quiet, grumpy little brother laugh sometimes. that all being said, martenfang knows when to put her "leadership boots" on and be serious... with her hand at battle strategy being nothing short of a force to be reckoned with.
history martenfang, for the most part, has lived a normal clan life. before being chosen as echostar's deputy, she a was a kit, a guardian apprentice, and a guardian with her older sole littermate and sibling, sablethroat. her parents are otternose and hailmist, though otternose has since passed on to crescentclan. martenfang is notably well-versed in battle and battle strategy -- hence her suffix of "fang" -- and moved up through sorrelclan's ranks mostly due to this particular set of skills.

personality sablethroat is a solemn cat who is dedicated to their livelihood as a clan guardian. their sister, martenfang, often jokes that they stole all her serious bones for themselves. they wake up early, perform their required duties, eat hours after everyone else has already been properly fed, and then go to sleep and repeat the same cut-and-dry cycle the next day. it's difficult to make them laugh, but while they come off as standoffish due to their simultaneously hardworking and introverted persona, they definitely could do with a few friends.
history sablethroat was born to otternose, a male hunter, and and hailmist, a female guardian. their sister and only littermate is martenfang, who also took up a job as guardian before being elected deputy. otternose has since passed away, but hailmist still resides in the elders' den. sablethroat has, thus far, lived a normal clan life and has followed a normal trajectory from kithood to life as a fully-fledged guardian. they are fully content with their current rank, as they secretly think (but would never admit) that their sister is far more cut out to be the clan's deputy. after all, they're nowhere near as personable.
