Powers:Cordelia was given the power of empathy, She is was already good at reading people before but this just helps her to get a clear view of a person's emotions. She needs to touch someone to read their emotions but after Cordelia spends more time with others she can do it without touching them. She more often than not uses her powers to see if people are lying or telling the truth. It can be rather difficult for her to process a lot of emotions and can become overwhelmed in a large group of people. Cora will also become overwhelmed if someone is feeling a lot of negative emotions or is under a lot of emotional pain. These types of situations tend to give her powerful migraines and can lead to fainting.

Appearance:Cordelia is a very tall slender woman standing at about 5'11. She has short black hair She is very pale and has very few blemishes and she intends to keep it that way. Cordelia dresses in a very formal put-together way. She does dress more modern now than when she first arrived but she still has a preference for her Victorian dresses. Cora has a silver ring with a black onyx stone that she always wears which was a gift from her aunt.

Personality:Cordelia is a very charismatic woman, she is very polite and considerate. Cora is very collected, and calm. She absolutely detests liars and if you lie to her she'll lie to you, if you are honest with her she'll be honest to you. Cora is also very prideful and confident, her image is very important to her and she will do anything to maintain it. This means that it is very difficult for Cora to ask for help and prefers to deal with her problems alone. She is also a shameless flirt and loves to tease people especially if she's close to them. Cordelia is also very interested in information and will gladly help someone out in return for a bit of gossip. Cordelia is also fiercely loyal to those she is close to and will do absolutely anything to help them. She has a soft spot for artists and wants them to succeed and always tries to build up their confidence. Although it is hard to get within her inner circle once you do you will have a friend for life.

History:Cordelia was born at the very beginning of the Victorian era to a count. She was the oldest sibling with younger twin brothers. She had a happy childhood where she learned how to be a proper lady she learned needlework and painting both of which she enjoys thoroughly and is quite good at them. She also became fluent in French and Latin. When Cordelia turned 18 she became engaged to another count whom she hated immensely. Cordelia ran away to live with her estranged aunt whom she lived with for a couple of years. Eventually, Cordelia got in contact with her parents and got married. Unfortunately, soon after her husband "disappeared under mysterious circumstances" leaving his entire estate and assets to her. In order to escape her "grief", she ended up gathering all her assets together and "disappeared" without a trace. She was last seen heading to her aunt's house driving a carriage. Cordelia ended up in Lethe, where she helped to make a small art gallery that she still runs to this day. Any and all types of art are welcome and it's guaranteed your art will be displayed at some point.

early days
Born on the 24th of December in Columbus, Ohio,
Spencer grew up surrounded by noise and lights.
He's a curious soul at heart, but the city didn't offer
what one would call a "safe place" to go exploring.
Instead, his little adventures were had on visits to
his grandparents, who lived in a quaint little cabin
outside of Waverly, West Virginia. He'd always known
the forest by their house to be off-limits after six,
but the warnings were never heeded. Spencer wasn't
sure what he saw out there, but it sparked a fascination
for the mysterious in his heart.
college life
Spencer had little trouble choosing a major once he
graduated high school, but instead of picking a "false"
major like cryptozoology, he instead picked up wildlife
ecology. Between his classes and projects, he made time
for trips to various regions of the Northeast, and the
South on occasion, to try and spot one of the famous
American cryptids in its natural habitat. Ranging from
skinwalkers to Bigfoot, Chupacabra to the Jersey Devil,
he'd yet to find much of anything to validate his passion.
finding lethe
Although American cryptids are his first love, Spencer
wasn't about to miss out on an opportunity to travel the
world. Now in his fourth year of college, he's planning to
study abroad in Europe. They have their own share of
myths and legends, so maybe he'd learn a thing or two
with a clean slate.

Amelia is a petite, gentle creature; standing at about 5' 2". Her features are small and delicate; almost birdlike. She has demure light blue eyes framed by large, circular glasses. Her hair is a medium shade of brown; usually tied up in a messy bun. When not pulled back, it falls to about the end of the thoracic section of her spine in chocolatey waves. Her skin is quite pale; dotted with the occasional freckle. Amelia is modest in both dressing and demeanor. She typically dresses in light, unassuming colours and floral patterns. More oft than not, she ports a pair of lace gloves to act as a barrier against her touch-related ability.

personality. at a glance, Amelia is a shy, sweet young woman who always has her nose in a book. Despite being relatively introverted, she is highly attuned to the emotions of others. Ever detail-oriented, Amelia picks up on many things about a person that the average observer might miss. She tends to be a bit of a busy-body - she is full of nervous energy and likes to be doing something at all times. The only time she truly stills is when she's reading a good book. When it comes to confrontation, Amelia is an absolute doormat and will easily back down. An unofficial town historian; Amelia knows a lot about the town and its history. Some she has gleaned through her research, and some... well, she's not sure how she knows it. She is a curious sort, but never nosey.

Rarely in waking will she experience a portent, unless something truly catastrophic is afoot. She also knows things she isn't sure how she gained knowledge of - the most mundane of which being someone's name before they have said it.
Whenever Amelia touches someone, she often sees visions of their memories. Little pieces of their lives; their stories. It's not something she enjoys; she finds it to be rather intrusive and often ends up glimpsing things others would rather leave buried.
When Amelia has a vision in the waking world, her eyes appear to mist over and her face takes on a glazed expression.

history. Amelia has been a resident of Lethe ever since she can remember. She knows she must have been a child once, but she has no recollection of her childhood. Nor any of her parents. But that's okay. She has been working at the public library as long as she can recall, and she wouldn't have it any other way. Amelia loves her job - even if interacting with patrons can be nerve-wracking at times.

home. Amelia lives in a small one-bedroom apartment above the Lethe Public Library, accessible from a teetering staircase at the very back of the building. It is always tidy and smells like a nostalgic mixture of herbs and old books. Her furniture would be considered vintage by the modern observer; in pristine condition apart from a few scratch marks left by Grimalkin in claiming the space as her own. Everything is light in colour. Floral patterns are not uncommon; seen lining the walls and printed across living room chairs; even painted on a small porcelain tea set that occupies the coffee table. There is at least one bookshelf in every room. The walls are oddly bare of photographs, instead porting beautiful oil paintings.
