edit: here’s how many characters I would like in order to feel comfortable with starting. we may start before this, but i’d feel more comfortable if we filled these roles first:

• the leadership roles for both teams to be filled*
• at least two collectors and two gatherers
• all officer spots filled (3/4)

not too bad, right? (starred is most important).
this is not to put pressure on anyone. only make as many characters as you can handle/want. it’s just a general idea of how much more we need until we start.

He typically wears baggy clothing, with his usual attire consisting of long-sleeved and dark-colored shirts. Most of his clothes have a turtleneck and he has long, baggy shorts and blue or black boots.

He has a flame tattoo on his right shoulder marking his family, and the scar over his right eye was given to him a visible mark that he has completed his training.
Weapons:
He always carries a tactical knife set that is hidden by his loose clothes; throwing knives, karambit, two boot knives and a folding knife. He also keeps a set of throwing needles which were dipped in a non lethal paralysis poison.
On the Inside...
Personality:
Set suffers from ASPD (undiagnosed in rp, more of a pic thing), that was a consequence if his upbringing. This means he is a cold, cruel boy, who loves to spite people just for giggles. He is quick to pursue violence when angered, but remains calm most of the time. He is unusually intelligent, and possesses an IQ of 140 but it comes out in unusual ways. He mostly uses his brain for escape tactics and observation of people. He possesses high self control except around sweet foods, which he cannot ignore. He won't often talk without being spoken to, and judges someone instantly and categorizes them into "threats" and "non-threats". Most of his judgements do not change from there, and to do so is extremely hard. If he dislikes someone, he will go out of his way to annoy them, and if he is okay with them, he will leave them in peace. He tends to dislike when people in authority positions look down on him as nothing more than an underling, as he bases his judgements of people off physical power. Because of this, he tends to be a slight wild card, but will always get the job done, even if the way he does it is slightly unlawful. He can also be the embodiment of malicious compliance if he heavily dislikes something or thinks a task is stupid.
By observing his earlier targets, he learned how to act as a normal person, and what type of acting he should do with different situations, but that is all it is, an act. Sometimes when he gets really aggravated or when a situation calls for it, his true personality will shine through.

Abilities:
Volatile Force Manipulation: The user can create, shape and manipulate explosive, combustive, rupturing, detonative force energy. He cannot be harmed by his abilities but can be harmed by anything not originating from him.
Claws: He is able to use an art passed down through his family. His nails can be manipulated into claws. He is able to do both hands at the same time.
Due to his training, he is resistant to stunning via electricity and resistant to both poison and medicine. Because of this, he must suffer through any injuries he gets because and medicine doses that work are more likely to kill him.

The Past
History:
Set was a kid who was born into and grew up in an underworld family of assassins under an untouchable secret sect that works for the underworld. Since birth, be has been training for only that, from being a combatant to learning how to use and repair various weapons. Other than that, Set never recieved a formal education, as it was deemed unnessecary for his success in life. He was sent into the family business when his training was "complete" at age 12. The training he went through is not something he will ever discuss, and punishment from his family has left him quivering whenever someone pries into it. After he proved competent, they introduced him to the task force, and he rose in the ranks quickly, as an unstoppable machine.

"I can conjure any weapons or tools that I can wield! Basically, if I own a
weapon and it's in my quarters and I'm familiar with it when I need it,
It can appear in my hands.
I Must be familiar with the weapon/tool though!
I can also conjure magma/fire into balls to throw at targets,
The fire and heat related stuff really zaps my energy though,
and I try not to use it often."

"I'm pretty good at hand to hand combat, however
I need to be quick! I'm not super strong so I have to have as
many opportunities as I can get!
I am also resistant to heat, I'm not immune, but I have
a higher tolerance.
I can be quite calm in extreme situations, I think before I act."

I hate the cold, If I'm cold, I can't conjure things well,
I must first warm my body up, usually with a small flare in my hands.
If I get wet, or am in the rain I also can't conjure fire, but magma is a
different story. I tend to bottle things up and break down after a lot of
time passes, I don't want to seem weak."

Hair: Long and in between wavy/coily, generally worn in a low pony-tail, black in colour
Skin: caramelly brown, tanned, faint freckles on his shoulders and chest area
Clothing: Generally wears blacks and reds, he's a fan of crewnecks and skinny jeans, he's also a fan of jean jackets. He has a one that he always wears that's slightly worn with a fleece-lined collar.

Xylas is more of a thinker than a doer at first.
He needs structure, he needs to plan out things.
He's not one to just leap in without thinking.
He's strategic, he's quick to change course if
something changes, and he's calm if someone
terrible happens. He can also be very stubborn,
if someone shuts him down when he has an idea
that he think might work, he can grow very
outspoken about it. He doesn't like being ignored.

Nic tends to be a very curious person, he loves to learn things
as much as he wants. He's a real bookworm, in a jock's body.
He's very good at teaching others how to control their powers,
and usually he hides the fact that sometimes he can't do so himself very well.
He's very good at hiding things but is incredibly honest about simple
things to help people trust to leave his secrets alone. He's pretty humble,
he doesn't like disagreements. He can become very closed off if someone wrongs him,
despite having a lot of trust in strangers.
