Appearance ❀ Short, 5'2". Has a curvy build,
but is by no means overweight (hourglass). Tends to
change hair colors often, but keeps it down and wavy.
Personality/History ❀ Outgoing, bubbly, and
energetic, Helen is still adjusting to the life of a royal. The
illegitimate daughter of the king and a mistress, she was
raised as a princess but largely kept away and secret from
the court and the other nobles. While she understands
the technicalities and theories of politics, she struggles to
practically apply these skills. In many ways she reads like
an open book, and has a very hard time keeping secrets or
lying. Wildchild, doesn't enjoy being told what to do.
Powers ❀ Able to manipulate light and
darkness, but struggles more with the latter. One of her
favorite tricks is to create lots of little "star lights" that she
can use to softly illuminate a dark area.
Other ❀ Found a young orphan cygnet around
age 16, kept and raised it. The swan now follows her
everywhere, and she fondly calls him Blanche.

Appearance ✦ Now a decent height at 5'11", was very short for most
of his life. Very lean, a bit of a beanpole. Keeps a very tidy appearance.
Powers ✦ Brennus doesn't have any powers, nor does he hold any
real influence. However, he's incredibly smart and well-versed, able to make
very strategic plans and decisions, if necessary in very short amounts of time.
Other ✦ Brennus loves flowers. Loves flowers. Possibly
more than people.He keeps various plants growing in his room and is very
protective of them. His favorites are the different types of orchids he has
collected, from which his surname is derived.

Personality/History ✦ Brennus was chosen at a very young
age to be the advisor to the future king, then still a
child himself. As a child, he'd grown up an orphan,
but had more than excelled when the orphanage had
put him into school a year early. Soon declared a
prodigy, he was the one most surprised when he was
summoned by the royal family and asked to become
a royal advisor. Although scared, he'd accepted and
proceeded to grow up alongside the prince. Growing up,
he was physically tiny and very reserved. In his late
teens, his height suddenly increased, and he grew
slightly more confident in his role and abilities, but he
still tends to be very quiet and private. However, he is
very loyal to the prince and royal family, and would do
anything they asked of him. Very loyal to his friends,
and always strives to take care of them as best he can
and be a secret keeper as needed.

Yes! Sorry work has been grinding me hours like crazy this week, I’m thinking Tuesday would be a good day to start!

Since I'm in school on Tuesday, it will probably be a while
before I can post, but that's nice to hear!

I'm cringing at the manipulating light and darkness thing because
darkness is literally just the absence of light askjhskefhkweh
Also, light manipulation is basically also the ability to make and
control illusions except it would probably require lots of control
to do so. Or you could just shine a blast of overly bright light into
someone's eyes like some sort of nuclear-powered flashlight or an
extremely over-powered lumos to blind someone, just be careful
not to be blinded yourself when doing this.

I have so many ideas and theories for light manipulation you have
no idea.

Oof ok. So while I get the "absence of light" part (bc you're right) could we not consider manipulation of shadows a part of manipulating darkness? Also, have you ever been in a dark room, but it's seemed "darker" than maybe you're used to? Like I get part of that is a mental thing, but there's conceivable different levels to perceived darkness.

I guess for light manipulations I was thinking like levels of intensity, but also about stuff like color? Like you said, it's basically a big illusion, right? So you would think that being able to manipulate light would include manipulating it's size, form, intensity, color, and source as well. But I hadn't worked out much besides that. Hit me with your light theories, please!
