personality summary:rigel is an incredibly broken person and, unfortunately, they've let that define them most of their lives. she's quiet, and ops towards blending in with the background. rigel hates nothing more than to have all eyes on her, and actively avoids letting anyone get too close. she's a pushover, and hates conflict, confrontation, and disagreement of any kind. if anything gets physical in any way, rigel will not fight back- they'll flee if they can, or simply curl up in a ball and hope that they don't get beaten too badly. they're an expert at cleaning minor cuts and abrasions, as well as concealing them. they'll do anything they can to save face, and more often than not keeps her opinion to herself and her nose out of everyone's business. when something gets difficult or overwhelming, rigel simply ignores it. out of sight, out of mind. underneath her unassuming demeanor, rigel is wicked smart and incredibly capable, but that's one of the many things she keeps to herself. as a coping mechanism, she's trained herself to shut out all emotion, and often seems void of life and robotic. survival is the name of the game for rigel, and she's a master at adapting to survive.

likes:reading- books are pretty much her only friends- writing, and sketching. she very much enjoys singing and has a half-decent voice, though they won't do it in front of anyone. the smell of clean sheets, old lemon and mint, makeup.
dislikes:crying, being around too many people, running. chase and pursuit games, even those as innocent as hide and seek. spicy food, heavy aromas, dogs, cheese, alcohol.
fears:hydrophobic- the most water they can handle is a half-full bathtub. heights, people under the influence, loud noises.
strengths:wicked smart, level-headed, thinks before she speaks.
weaknesses:overthinks before she speaks, too afraid of making waves to stand up for herself, unable to defend herself, incredibly needy.
quirks:ambidextrous, tugs on their right ear when nervous, and does this strange thing when they're bored where they try to figure out how many pigs it would take to feel the entire room.

history+why they're a space kiddo:rigel's early years were easy- she was born to two parents that loved her, she had a twin brother named saiph, and she was happy. that is, until her parents split. it was a messy divorce, filled with shouting, fights that often turned physical, and things being broken. rigel's mother gained custody of saiph, and rigel was left to stay with her father. broken by the divorce, her father turned to alcohol and became incredibly abusive. her final night on earth was particularly bad, and, after managing to escape her father, she locked herself in her room for her safety. after accidentally falling asleep, she woke up to find herself in a completely unfamiliar place. but she figures anywhere has to be better than home.
tattoo:this tattoo of orion, the constellation she's named for, done in dark purple graces the left side of her neck, with a small, lowercase r on the left side of it.
scars+mods:she lost her left eye in an altercation with her father when she was eight, though the official story is that she got hit with a shard of ice.

job/occupation: space cadet flight officer - responsible for navigation, guidance, FTL jumps, piloting & course corrections, atmospheric entries and flight planning.

appearance: aquamarine eyes, straight silky blonde hair that sit just above her hips. She has a small and petite figure, her height is 5'3 and her weight sits at 50kg. A lot of the time she's got a gentle facial expression on her face. Rarely smiles but if you do take that as a sign that she likes you or is beginning to warm up to you.

personality: Asuka is a very responsible and loyal companion, once you get close to her she'll become an affectionate young girl who'll stand up for whats right protecting her friends before putting herself first. She enjoys exploring new planets and will often be over-excited for the crew's next destination, she loves socialising with people and will find herself attracted to new people. One of her worst traits is her inpatience and adventurousness sometimes this causes her to run off without waiting for others which can sometimes lead her into the path of danger. A lot of the time you'll find her singing or humming while she works cheerful as always. You'll immediately be able to tell if she's been crying or is upset her expression is very obvious, but it'll be cured with a hug.

he imagined hiding in clouds during the day and shining with billions of other stars at night, a spectacular sight where no one could single him out among the graceful lights in the sky. in his daydreams, he'd danced throughout black holes and created nebulas. what a beauty he was.

muro came from a small town, somewhere in canada where no one felt like going to because there was nothing there. that was alright with him, though. there was a single school in the area and everyone knew everyone. his wide eyes would scan his surroundings with unfaltering interest, wondering about his future in the old place, only the smallest nudge of nervousness in his chest when he did. and then came his parents divorce, and the smashed plates and everything he never thought of. whisked away to new york with his mum, the stars he so often admired were hidden by the sharp artificial brightness humans made (and what a mistake that was, he thought). crowds of beings with too many lines to count on their foreheads and tight frowns instead of smiles rushed past him in masses. his school was a hell with his doe eyes and preserved innocence; he was but another target for bullying. soon, only anxiousness floated in him, limbs fidgeting and tense.

the sky, his only comfort, was gone. he could only see airplanes blinking as they crossed over countries far far away from him. an ongoing feeling of regret lingered, but he had no clue what it was for.

on his sixteenth birthday, still in new york, his mind was hazy, unclear. when he felt clear enough to think, he was in space.

muro is a small-ish thing, around 5'5 or 5'6. he can be compared to a slightly hyperactive squirrel or chipmunk. he's pretty weak and probably the type to be the one carrying the least amount of bags on the way out of a shop. growing up sorrounded by nature, he gained a habit for climbing trees and having cuts on himself before he moved with his dad to new york. he's easily intimidated and could be called a leech, sticking by people that offers him the slightest push of kindness. with a huge habit for fidgeting, you'll often see him chewing on pens or shuffling in his place. he was almost diagnosed with ADHD as a child with overbearing parents. his chest is usually anxious and tight, so he'll be wearing a frown most days. other than that, he's not especially independent, relying on others to the point they'll ask him for space sometimes. his most obvious good points is that he's fairly intelligent and has a spark of constant curiosity, eyes peering around at his surroundings.
