His name is Othena Odoyo Okinda, and he is a boy of Kenyan and Greek descent. There are many people who like to laugh at his name whenever he introduces it fully, and it has earned him the nickname of Triple O as a result. He would be more offended by this title if he wasn't also so very charmed by it. Othena is one of those 'older than they look' type of people. He's only Seventeen years old, but his mature features make him look twenty-five. He stands at a towering height of 188 cm (6'2"), and weighs at a modest amount of 81 kg (180 lbs). He's also the type to dress himself well. He likes to wear expensive suits or stylish jackets and shoes; an influence from his fashion designer of a father, no doubt. His style is constantly changing with the seasons though, but one fact remains clear: Othena is a man of fashion. Since he grew up rich and with great expectations, he can be quite spoiled and vain.

Othena's father named him after the boy's mother- Athena. Except, he gave the name a particularly 'masculine' spin to it before he graced his son with the title. Although he was teased by his peers a lot for being 'named after a girl,' and for having a father into fashion, Othena takes a lot of pride in being their son. He's always admired Athena and her tales of wisdom and power- they fascinated him to no end and made him want to be just like her. He loved to watch his father work his magic with clothe and patterns, and thought of making the very same cuts he did. He was never ashamed of his father being South Africa's top fashion designer, nor was he ever embarrassed to admit that Athena was his mother. Othena was just truly impressed by the two's success, and had dreams of becoming the great son he was supposedly intended to be. But Othena, as good of a son as he is, did not come without his faults. Being the son of a rich man, he was spoiled relentlessly and praised constantly. It was terrible when he first came to camp- he was awfully full of himself, and would arrogantly praise his mother, father, and himself without thinking about it. Nowadays, he's mellowed out more. Though he's still prideful of his roots, he knows to take it down a notch.

Othena's father was a Kenyan from the Luo Tribe. From what Othena has gathered, his father was the youngest of seven, and lived in one of Kenya's poorest districts. He always had little to eat and drink, and little to have because the family was constantly sharing and borrowing things from one another and their neighbors. Apparently, he used to be weak and sickly as a child. Being like that as well as the youngest seemed to make him less valuable than his other siblings, and the boy often found himself neglected. He eventually ran away from his family in Kenya, hopping on a bus heading South from Nairobi to Dar es Salaam, then a train to Nakonde, another bus to Lusaka- and so on and so forth until he eventually reached Johannesburg, South Africa. He worked a series of dead end jobs in that city, working hard until he eventually found a foothold in the Fashion world... Then another... and another... Othena was born well after his father became a veteran in the fashion industry of South Africa. He's not entirely sure about what else led to his father's amazing rise from rags to riches- but he's very sure it was an amazing experience.

Despite being big in South Africa, Othena's father left for the States anyways.

It was somewhere in a Dingy Hole-In-the-wall bar in New York did Okinda (the name he chose for himself) meet Athena. Strangely, the Okinda doesn't remember how his son was conceived. He was smashing drunk at the time, having hit an all-time-low, and spilling out his entire life story in an incoherent mixture of Dholuo, English, and Swahili. He blacked out soon after he finished, awoke the next day in a hotel room with the worst headache, and was soon rewarded with a son from the heavens (literally) nine months later. Since Othena had always been aware of his lineage since birth, he was taken away to the camps at an early age (around ten, he thinks). Though he was considered a pretty arrogant and obnoxious guy, he seemed to get along well with his peers most of the time, and continues to attend Camp Half-Blood.

✦ Othena shares a lot of the same abilities as the other kids in Athena's cabin. However, past that, he also is a skilled fashionista- and that's it. Surprisingly (or not, maybe) he is poor at athletics, and is often left to the back for strategics and other such thing.
✦ He has a fondness for stylish jackets, and sleek basketball shoes. Sadly, this isn't often shown to the other campers because it's summer, and there aren't a lot of chances for him to wear such things in the middle of the heat.
✦ Othena is actually very popular in his regular school. This does not translate in the same way in Camp Half-Blood.

A determined, independent girl, Alyssa is headstrong, though she knows her
strengths and weaknesses. Her best trait is how intuitive she is, being able
to sense emotions through body language, knowing when to rile a person
up or comfort them with a talk. She will trust those only when she needs
to, or if she is familiar with them. Her magic, which is limited to telekinesis,
and a few spells, though strong, is quite limited, and she must remember
not to over exert herself, or she will pass out.
